Meet Bentley, the one-of-a-kind mix you never knew you needed—half Great Pyrenees, half Beagle, and all good boy! With his hound dog soul and fluffy Pyrenees charm, Bentley is the perfect blend of goofy and gorgeous. This handsome guy is great on a tie-out and loves playtime in a fenced yard. He’s a strong starter on leash, but don’t worry—he tires out quick and would thrive with a regular walking routine. Bentley met our previois office cat and did very well, so he may do well with feline friends! When it comes to other dogs, Bentley can be a bit picky about his pals. He didn’t quite click with the dog in his previous home, so he may prefer being the only pup or having very slow introductions to canine companions.Bentley leans more toward his Great Pyrenees side in size—so make sure you're ready for a big ol’ snugglebug!Available now for foster or adoption through the FDHS website—Bentley’s waiting to charm your socks off!

Story
Say hello to Oso! Look at this majestic floof! Imagine if a cloud and a polar bear had a baby...that’s Oso. This stunning Great Pyrenees tips the scales at over 120 lbs and just turned one year old in January. Still very much a “puppy” at heart, Oso was recently surrendered through no fault of his own. He’s now on the hunt for a home that understands the quirks and charm of his breed.True to his heritage, Oso has a bit of a wanderlust streak. He’ll need a securely fenced yard to keep his adventures local or a person committed to keeping him leashed on walks. Oso is sweet, mellow, and incredibly affectionate. He’s got that classic “old soul” Pyr energy—calm, steady, and just a little stubborn when the mood strikes. He’s also absolutely breathtaking, with a thick, fluffy coat that will require regular grooming to keep it healthy and mat-free.If you're smitten (and we can’t blame you), be sure to read up on the Great Pyrenees breed. They’re not for everyone—but if you know, you know. And if you know, you just might be the perfect match for Oso.

We've had him since he was a puppy... He's now about 105lbs. He's a really good dog but needs a "job" and likes to herd. We are sad to see him go but he just deserves more attention than we can give him. He knows sit, lay down and shake paw! Not great with "stay"...

Story
We adopted Milo in 2020. He was a rescue from Kentucky where he came to us with many injuries and health concerns like heart worm and fleas and tics. We had to foster him while he was going through treatments. He has become more in need of vet care which has been too much financially. He has had issues with joint pain lately and weight loss. We love him but we know he deserves a better place to live his remaining years. Milo is a sweet guy and is around 10 or 11 years old.
