Great Pyrenees puppies and dogs in Hilliard, Ohio

We have had bear for a couple years now, We rescued him from the side of a desert road in New Mexico. When we found him while he was severely skinny with fleas, ticks, and worms! We got him better and took him in as ours. Bear is about 4.5 years old. Very energetic but loves a good nap. Needs 1-2 long walks a day and some mental stimulation like chew toys or lick mats etc. He loves to be right on top of you and he gives the best hugs! Ideally we are looking for someone with a fenced in backyard, time on their hands and other dogs preferably! Bear is crate trained and can be an anxious dog especially when left alone so having other dogs or humans in the space to shorten the length of time he is alone would be amazing! He loves playing with other dogs and has played with all sizes from Corgis, Yorkies, all the way up to a great dane! Bear is such a good boy and we want so badly for him to be placed in the right home. Thank you so much.

Except chickens!   HISTORY : Max (FKA Cottontail) was the biggest pup in Bunny’s litter and was raised using the Puppy Protocol with proper socialization. He was adopted by a wonderful family with other dogs, cats, kids and a farmette with chickens. He went to an office with the owners every day and enjoyed time with visitors between naps. Max enjoyed playtime until he met the few chickens that he could catch and play a bit rough with. The adopters thought it best to return him to us to find him another home.      PERSONALITY : Max is friendly, laid back, curious, brave and loving. He is very food motivated so he would be easy to train for any advanced tasks. He knows sit, paw, come (in his own time). He goes to a dog friendly office every day and is not reactive, sleeps, greets with a tail wag and is learning not to jump up and hug new friends.  FAVORITE ACTIVITIES : Meeting new friends, chewing all types of gullet sticks, antlers, kong, filled bones, treats and surgically removing squeakers from stuffies between naps.   MEDICAL ISSUES : NONE. Up to date on all vaccines.  Neutered, rear deux claws removed. Max has been exposed to all types of proteins with no issues. Like most dogs, consistent food keep his tummy happy.  He eats 2x per day. He is not a picky eater.  WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME : He would be best around his people and another dog. He has manners and is a gentleman but still needs some structure and guidance. He is still a puppy but a mature one. He would love to be active and have a job to do. Boredom is his nemesis. He enjoys a schedule and his naps. He loves riding In the car so would be a fabulous travel companion. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS : Max just had a first visit to the groomer and did well. Not a fan of the noises of the dryer or the cremel on his nails but, he would get used to it with more experience. He is shedding a bit now in the spring but has not been a big shedder like his Pyrenees momma. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Important notes before applying. Approved adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina and Kentucky. You must be at least 21 years of age to apply and legally sign our contract for adoption. Applications must be completed by the homeowner.  We do not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. Noah has been practicing his manners and has become quite the gentle giant! He hopes his new owner doesn't have a job or any responsibilities, because he wants to be pet ALL DAY LONG. He is also convinced he's a lap dog (and we're not going to be the one to break the news that he's too big!) Noah is a foodie and would love to be your sous chef!    Noah is on his weight loss journey, so if he has an extra snacky day, he eats a little less at dinner time. Getting the excess weight off of Noah is crucial for his long term health! Noah is approximately 95lbs, but we'd like to get him into the low 80lbs.    We think Noah is a Great Pyrenees mix. He will need a home willing to keep up with the grooming requirements of the breed! He is a perfect gentleman when being groomed!    Noah is crate trained, potty trained, and good with cats. Noah would do best with kids 10+ years old as he is very big and sometimes forgets his size!    Noah would prefer to be an only dog or in a home with a laid back canine companion as he gets overwhelmed by friends that are too energetic!   Noah is still working on his leash training and how to not jump up. We picked Winnie out as a puppy and brought her home to be a livestock guardian to our outdoor animals, which she has done a great job at that for just over 3 years. She always wants to be doing a job or interacting with us like a big puppy. She's extremely sweet and loves to cuddle, and would definitely be a lap dog if given the opportunity. She is good with out 9 and 5 year old and have never attacked anyone or even seemed like she was going to. She has 5 acres currently to explore and will not have this much land when we move, and we want to find her a good home where she will continue to have the life she has enjoyed so much.We recently had her go through a 21 day training program at Joel Slavens dog lodge, which taught her several commands and amazing leash training.

Rose and her siblings were surrender to Rico Pet Recovery so they could find great forever homes!Rose is a real heartbreaker - she’s sweet, cuddly, playful and loving. She has been exposed to kids, adult dogs and loves everyone.You can apply to meet her at ricopetrecovery.org.
