AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: Leia 🩷 📍 Fostered in: Westerville, OH 🐶 Good with dogs: Yes 🐈 Good with cats: Yes 👧 Good with kids: Yes 🏠 Housebroken: Yes 📦 Crate trained: Yes 🐾 Leash trained: Working on it! ⸻ Hi, I’m Leia 👋🏼 I am an estimated 6-8 year old large mixed breed in search of my final destination. My foster family DNA tested me and I am 50% Great Pyrenees, 20.1% Cane Corso, 19.6% American Pit Bull Terrier, and 10.3% American Bulldog. More importantly, I am 100% the best girl! My early days started with being kept crated 24/7, used for breeding and hardly cared for. Finally, my “family” abandoned me, which may have been the best gift possible. I was found as a stray and taken in as an emergency due to my condition. Between the help of many rescuers, I made my way to CO•PAW and have transformed into my absolute best self. From skin & bones to healthy & playful! I love sleeping on the couch, sometimes trying to scooch my way onto a lap if I’m allowed. I just learned how to play with my foster brothers and I love running in the yard with them, too. I love my food and treats! I am working on basic commands and definitely food motivated. I prefer to be fed away from other pets. After having been starved, I can get a wee bit protective of my foods. I REQUIRE... A fenced in yard or lots of walkies! If you have a flimsy fence, that might not work for me. If I see a deer or a rabbit, I want to try to get it. 👀 My foster mom had a weak spot in her fence, and I went on a bit of a walk about. Once that was fixed, I have been fine! ⸻ 🩺 Veterinary Care Provided All CO•PAW dogs are: ✔️ Spayed/Neutered ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Heartworm tested (1+ year) ✔️ Given preventatives and initial vaccines If booster shots have not yet occurred, they may be completed for free at our Columbus, OH clinic—or at your own vet, at your expense. ⸻ 📝 Adoption Info •Must live in the State of Ohio •No transport available—adopters must travel for the meet & greet •Meet & greets are scheduled only after application approval •Please come prepared to take your new best friend home if it’s a match! Bring a collar, leash, harness, and crate for safe travel.

Story
My wife and I rescued Bear a couple years ago. He was stranded near a desert road in New Mexico. He was severely skinny with fleas, ticks, and worms! We got him better and took him in as ours. We can no longer keep him because we are moving to NYC and cant provide what he needs to be happy like space and time. Bear is 4.5 years old, Very energetic but loves a good nap. Loves long walks and mental stimulation like chew toys or lick mats etc.He loves to be near people and he gives the best hugs! Ideally we are looking for someone with a fenced in backyard, time on their hands and other dogs. But of course if Bear is a good fit for you, none of those are dealbreakers. Bear tends to get anxious when left alone for longer than 2.5 hours but does better when there are others dogs in the space and access to an outdoor area! He does so good with other dogs. Bear is such a good boy and we want so badly for him to be placed in the right home. Thank you so much!

Story
Dog's Name: Lulee Gender: Female Current Age: 2 years Current Weight: 77 lbs Breed: Great Pyrenees mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. Cat Friendly: Unknown Kids: Yes, kids 8 years old or older Apartment Friendly: No Fence Requirements: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks/exercise Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Likes: Playing, being with her people Dislikes: Being ignored (will accept it, but prefers to be loved) Dear Future Forever Family, I’m writing to you with a heart full of hope and a tail that won’t stop wagging. Somewhere out there, I know you are looking for me, just as I am looking for you. My RescuedOhio name is Lulee but my foster family calls me the bestest girl—but what matters most is the bond we are about to create. I am a lovely young lady, approximately two years old, and I am on a quest for my forever best friend. I have a lot of love to give, and honestly, my favorite place in the world is right by your side. I absolutely adore being loved, and if you have a lap to offer or a hand to pet me, I will consider myself the luckiest girl alive. Your full attention is my greatest treasure. I want you to know that I come with some pretty fantastic manners. I am completely housebroken and crate trained (though I’ll admit, I prefer being out with you rather than inside a crate for too long—I just don’t want to miss a single moment!). I can even tuck myself in at night. My personality is as sweet as they come, and I adapt to new environments with ease. Wherever you are, that’s home to me. I have a zest for life that is contagious. I have a lot of energy, and I can play for a long time, but I can calm down and nap with the best of them. Whether it’s a game of fetch with my human, a wrestling match with a friendly doggy sibling, or just zooming around a fenced-in yard feeling the wind in my fur, I am ready for the fun. I’m also a bit of a comedian—I seem to have a sixth sense for when you’re feeling down, and I will turn on the charm to make you smile. One tiny thing to know about me: because I’m still young and enthusiastic, I sometimes gently put my mouth on your hand when I’m trying to get your attention and you’re not cooperating. I don’t mean any harm—it’s just my way of saying, "Hey, look at me! Let’s play!" With a little patience and training, I know I’ll perfect my manners. I am ready to fill your home with laughter, cuddles, and endless energy. If you think you have room in your heart for a playful, loving, and loyal companion, I am ready to meet you. Let’s start our forever story. With all my love and a few happy barks, Your Future Best Friend, Lulee All adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea prevention, and current heartworm prevention. Dogs over six months of age are heartworm tested prior to adoption. If you're interested in adopting, please complete an application at rescuedohio.org. Once approved, a meet-and-greet can be scheduled. ##2801327##
