Story
Meet Brave! His birthday is June 27th 2021! We’ve had this boy since he was 8 weeks old. Our family has since grown and we don’t have the time and training to give him. Being a Pyr he bonds very closely with his family and loves attention and cuddles. He needs someone willing to train him and help him to be more social. He is an excellent guard dog! We need to find this boy a new loving home by July. Serious inquiries only please as you must be willing to socialize Brave!

Story
The pup pictured is one of the “A List Litter”. Beagle mom is Abby, but we don’t know who dad is. We have sent away for a DNA test and will post results as soon as we get them. The pups were born February 24, 2023 to a very good mom.  Girls (6) are: Amber, Amy, Anna, Ashley, Aubree and Ava. Boys (4) are: Adam, Alex, Andy, and Asher. They are all adorable. The name of the puppy is posted on the picture. These guys are playful, sweet and cuddle. Pups will be spayed and neutered and given their one year rabies on June 1, 2023 so can be adopted the weekend of June 2, 2023. They have all their distemper/parvo shots, Bordetella, been wormed and microchipped. Adoption donation is $350. To adopt one of these wonderful puppies, please do our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org. Any questions, email marty@pawsandprayers.org . Thinking about a new puppy….. things to keep in mind: Puppy will need time, training, love and connection, mixed in with a load of attention. Best if children are school age or older; we will consider younger children only on exception basis. Puppies have small bladders and need to have someone to let them out regularly for potty breaks…..work from home, work part-time, come home at lunch…..need a plan as they will need you every 4 to 5 hours until they are at least 6 to 8 months old. Will your current pet be willing to accept a new puppy. Puppies can be a handful. Will you be traveling extensively for the next couple of months? Puppy proofing your home is like baby proofing you home; it requires effort. Puppies can go to their new homes from 8 weeks, but holding on a little longer and letting them go around 12 weeks can be really beneficial, as their development and socializing will be a lot more established by that point. Those few extra weeks can make a big difference in how they act in their new home….. more social, less nippy. DNA is in: THE RESULTS: 22.9% Great Pyrenees 20.4% Beagle 15.6% Terrier 10.9% Boxer 8.2% German Shepherd Dog 22.0% Super-mutt* *(Chow Chow, Australian Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, and Collie).May 28, 2023, 9:39 am

Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Stetson - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! The advertising for the very famous Stetson hats describes the product as "meticulously designed and handcrafted in Texas; the name signifies quality and durability." Hey, the same can be said about lil' ol' me!! I have a proud hairytage of a purebred Labrador Retriever Mama and and purebred Great Pyrenees Papa.....and I am proud to be a native Texan :) (photos of parents available upon request!!) With this genetic bonanza, no wonder I am such a handsome guy!! At almost 6 months young (DOB is 12/07/22), I weigh in at a healthy 42 pounds of happy puppy. I am the most laid back and easy going of my litter; most definitely no alpha dog here!! I get along with all of the dogs, but would be happiest with another easy going, confident kind of dog and Hooman personality. I am loving and a great companion. I love my daily walks and swimming in the river, but am not going to be hyper if I don't run a marathon daily! I have a very low to medium energy level and a very zen aura. Foster Mum says that I am an old soul. I will most likely be around 60-70 pounds when fully growed :) I am crate trained, working on house training, and know how to walk on a leash. I am a "Good Boy" and try to make my Foster Mum happy. I don't jump up on people or tear toys up. I like to play with the other dogs and toys in a gentle manner. My overall behavior is calm. If you have been waiting for a gentle, kind soul to fill your life with peaceful coexistence, I am your guy!!

These pups are in Salem, Ohio too!

Let me begin by saying that there is so much more to me than my suave and debonair looks! I will do my best to share all of me with all of you. I was found running loose, so my humble beginnings are unknown. However, it is clear that I had not been well socialized and as a result I am a bit on the reserved side when meeting new humans. When I first arrived here at the rescue, I was fearful of sudden movements/ loud noises, and I would cower and back away if someone approached me too quickly. BUT (allow me to brag on myself!) since being in my foster home, I have an abundant amount of self-confidence and am now much more willing to trust people, I will seek out attention from those I recognize and now I even approach those I do not recognize! I have been fostered with kids and find them quite entertaining as well. I will require a patient, stable home with an owner(s) that is willing to supply me with continued socialization, confidence and love!!! I have shown NO aggression of any kind. Once I bond with my human(s) I want to be near them all the time!! Foster mom calls me a "velcro dog", not sure if that's a good thing?? HEY, check out my picture! Not all dogs can do their own banking!! Those tellers loved me. I am in the beginning stages of learning how to play with toys as it appears that they are another new thing for me. As you can see in my pictures, I am being fostered with several other dogs and we do great together. I kinda threw my foster doggie siblings for a loop when I started playing at first due to the "barky, growly, bear-like" noises I make!! Yes, I am quite vocal during playtime which may be a bit off-putting for some other dogs. So, if you have another dog(s), we will have to make certain all is copacetic between us! I am a real pro at walking on a leash and get SOOOO EXCITED when foster mom gets the leash out. I get so excited that I jump in circles until she gives me the "SIT" command and it takes all I have to sit and be still til she gets me hooked up and we are off to new adventures!! My potty habits? Well, foster mom could not be happier! I currently have a doggie door leading out to a fenced yard, so I am able to come and "go" whenever I feel the need. She is very proud (and shocked) that I have not had an "accident" in the house since I've been here....seems like a big deal to her lol?? But keep in mind that a new home will mean new schedules so patience and consistency will be key. I am also crate trained, but I am happy to say that I have not had to spend much time in one since I am so well behaved. When I first arrived and foster mom left the house, I would hang out in my crate, so I (as well as the house) stayed safe. However, now that I am feeling more relaxed the crate is no longer used. I really enjoy a nice Sunday drive while checking out the scenery. As you see in my picture, I am even willing to share the co-pilot seat with others! I have a ton of great qualities and some pretty quirky ones as well, but who doesn't?? If you have taken the time to read this, please reread it and if you think you are able to commit to helping me become the dog that I was meant to be then fill out that application!! love, tony COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING LINK FOR APPLICATION: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScS9JnqDx7VUcxofuK4oBqeYuaLYHWi_43DesFKd3YjHeQwwA/viewform?usp=sf_link
