Story
Application Link: https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/ARH-A-247 Adoption fee is $395 All dogs are fixed, up-to-date on age appropriate shots and micro-chipped. Norfolk is a sweet boy, love everyone, loves to play with other dogs. He is a guardian dog so an initial introduction is best. He was found tied to a railroad crossing signal and had been reported by a conductor that saw him by there a week earlier. He is recovering from severe malnutrition and some internal parasites. He has slight food aggression so we feed in crate and that works well for him. I expect the aggression to subside as he gets used to not being starved. He is available for foster to adopt but we want to keep an eye on his weight progress until he is at least 80% recovered.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   If you're looking for a loyal companion with a calm spirit and a heart of gold? Meet Jada, a beautiful 5½-year-old Rottweiler/Great Pyrenees mix who's owner recently passed. She is ready to thrive in a loving forever home. Jada combines the best qualities of both breeds: loyalty and devotion of a Rottweiler with the gentle, patient nature of a Great Pyrenees. She may be a little reserved when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her sweet personality quickly shines through. One of her favorite things? Belly rubs—she'll happily remind you when it's time for one! This lovely girl is a dream housemate. She is trustworthy, well-mannered, and so comfortable in a home environment that she doesn't require a crate and can be left to free-roam responsibly. Jada gets along wonderfully with other animals, making her an easy addition to a multi-pet household. She is cat-friendly, enjoys spending time with other dogs, and loves social outings to the dog park. Jada is also comfortable around children and understands how to respect their space, making her a gentle and thoughtful companion in a family setting. She is also an excellent travel companion and never turns down a car ride. She has the perfect balance of energy and relaxation—equally happy joining you for adventures or curling up beside you for a quiet evening on the couch. Her only fear is a vet. She needs sedated with trazadone and muzzled for nail trims and going there. It's out of character, but she can't help it. The meds take care of the issue. It should only be needed once a year. If you're searching for a devoted best friend who will fill your home with love, companionship, and loyalty, Jada is ready to meet you. Story
I got Roxie at 8 weeks ok she grew up with me in college. She is an amazing dog and it breaks my heart having to part with her because she’s a great dog. But with my living situation and career path I just can’t exercise her as much as she needs. She is extremely smart and well behaved. She does amazing with other dogs but has shown signs of aggression over food only with dogs. She will come with her crate and her food bowl. She’s the most loving dog I’ve ever had and I just want her to have a life that I can not give her and I know someone else can.

Story
Please contact Sheri (sswank1@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  Buck is almost 3 years old, is DNA tested, and guess what!?! He is exactly 50% GSD and 50% Great Pyrenees. What a fun combo for a dog! He gets super excited when he sees me getting my tennis shoes on, or my ball cap because he knows it means we're going hiking. He's 100 pounds of lean handsomeness. LOL. He does well as a couch potato and is calm in the house on a normal quiet day. He is house trained, crate trained and does well with other non dominant dogs. He loves playing fetch with any ball, and if you don't have time to play, Buck plays by himself. I'm looking for a home without young children because Buck does have herding/guarding tendencies. Buck is looking for someone who loves the big boys, and can handle them. Bucks adoption fee is $200, and includes all up to date vaccines, neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventative, and endless love and appreciation from BUCK! Please fill out our non-obligatory application at pawsandprayers.org if you would like to adopt him!! Please email sswank1@gmail.com with any questions. This pet qualifies for the Pets for Patriots program https://www.petsforpatriots.org/veterans July 16, 2026, 4:12 pm
