Story
We love our dog Comet, but our family is growing and we just don't have the time or schedule to give him the attention he deserves anymore. We want to find him a great family who has plenty of time for him. We ask for a small fee to ensure he goes to a loving home. He is a 5-year-old, neutered male Great Pyrenees and Retriever mix. About Comet: - He is fully house-trained and well-behaved indoors. - He is the most loving dog and is amazing with people, young kids, and babies. - He gets along great with other animals and currently lives with cats. - He is healthy and just got his recent bordetella shot. What he needs: - A home with a fenced-in yard is a must. Because he is part Pyrenees, he loves to wander and roam if he's outside, so a fence is required to keep him safe. - A family that has the time to hang out with him and give him plenty of affection. He is a truly wonderful dog and is going to make someone very happy. Please reach out if you'd love Comet in your home!

Story
Meet Charlie – This sweet young female Pyrenees - Benson, NC Charlie is a beautiful young female Great Pyrenees (or Pyr mix), believed to be 2 years old or younger. She was found as a stray and has been safely cared for by her rescuers for the past 2 weeks while they try to find her forever home. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl once she gets comfortable. She can be skittish and fearful around new people at first, but she is friendly, not aggressive in any way, and shows no food aggression. Once she trusts you, she wants to play nonstop and loves being petted constantly. She has been potty trained during her short time with her rescuers and does well when left in a fenced yard. Charlie is still very puppy-like — she likes to chew on things, so she will need appropriate chew toys and some supervision. She is not comfortable on a leash yet and tends to freeze or refuse to move when one is put on, so she will need patient, positive training to help her with this. She appears healthy, eats dog food well, and has no known medical issues. The approved adopter will be responsible for having Charlie spayed within the first 30 days of adoption. This playful, loving young girl is ready for a patient forever family who will help her build confidence and continue learning about life in a home. Attributes: • Breed / Age / Sex: Great Pyrenees / Pyr Mix, ~2 years or younger, Female (not spayed) • Size / Weight: Approx 60 lbs • Color: Cream/Black BiColor • Good with: Familiar people (friendly & very affectionate once comfortable); children and other animals unknown – needs slow, careful introductions • Energy Level: Moderate to High – playful and puppy-like • Special Traits: Loves to play and receive nonstop pets once she trusts you, skittish/fearful with new people at first but never aggressive • Training / House Manners: Potty trained, good in a fenced yard, working on leash skills, likes to chew (needs appropriate toys) • Health: Appears good – no known issues, eats well (Adopter responsible for spay within first 30 days, plus full vaccines and heartworm prevention) • Ideal Home: Patient, experienced family with a secure fenced yard. Someone who understands shy/stray dogs and will give her time, structure, and positive training. Best suited as an only dog or with very slow intros to other pets. PYR Bridge is our home-to-home rehoming service for Great Pyrenees. Responsible owners can list their Pyr here, so we help screen and match them with loving new families—without the dog ever entering a shelter or changing legal ownership. IMPORTANT: GREAT PYRENEES RESCUE SOUTHEAST DOES NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP OF ANY DOG LISTED IN THE PYR BRIDGE.

Story
Meet Beau – This handsome male Pyrenees Beau is a beautiful 5-year-old white male Great Pyrenees who has been a beloved family member for the past 4.5 years. He is fully neutered, potty trained, and up-to-date on all vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention. Beau had TPLO (TLPO) surgery on both hind legs and has made a full recovery. His family invested heavily in his care ($4,000 per leg) and he is now doing very well with no ongoing issues or medications needed.Beau loves people! He is friendly and affectionate with his family and does great with children of all ages. He is also friendly toward strangers. However, he is food aggressive and has had some incidents with other dogs in the home over dropped food or mealtimes. No serious injuries have occurred, but his owners have been managing this by feeding him completely separately. Because of this, he would be the perfect only dog in his new home. Beau is a loyal and loving Great Pyrenees who will thrive in a home where he is the one and only canine companion. His current family is heartbroken to rehome him due to upcoming health challenges, but they want to find him the best possible situation where he can live safely and happily. Attributes: • Breed / Age / Sex: Great Pyrenees, 5 years, Male (neutered) • Size / Weight: [Please add his approximate size/weight] • Color: White • Good with: People of all ages including children; best as an only dog due to food aggression • Energy Level: Moderate / Calm • Special Traits: Loves people, affectionate, food motivated (needs management) • Training / House Manners: Potty trained, good with his people • Health: Excellent – neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Full recovery from TPLO surgery on both hind legs (no ongoing issues) • Ideal Home: Adult or family home with no other dogs. Secure fenced yard preferred. Patient owners who understand he must be fed separately and will always manage food resources carefully. PYR Bridge is our home-to-home rehoming service for Great Pyrenees. Responsible owners can list their Pyr here, so we help screen and match them with loving new families—without the dog ever entering a shelter or changing legal ownership. Story
Meet Panda - Panda is the proud father of this wild crew of eight, and let’s just say… this big boy definitely lives up to the title of “Big Deddy P.” When Panda first arrived with his family after their human family faced an unimaginable tragedy. But this absolute hoss of a dog fought his way through like a champion. Now healthy and feeling much better, Panda spends his days doing what he does best supervising everyone like the large and in-charge dad he is. He’s got the size of a small bear, the appetite of a teenager, and the personality of your funny uncle at the family cookout.Despite his massive size, Panda is a sweet boy who enjoys attention, lounging around, and reminding everyone that personal space is completely optional when you’re built like a freight train. Whether he’s waddling over for affection or casually taking up half the room, Panda keeps everyone smiling. This big handsome boy has already overcome so much, and now he’s ready to trade survival mode for couch potato status in a loving home of his own.
