Story
“Smokey” is an 11th-month-old mix Great Pyraneese (mom) and "black" unknown breed (dad). He is a healthy and large (about 65 lbs). He is very friendly, sweet, and playful. He has white markings on mostly black, short hair. We helped rescue him from his mothers owner who couldn't take care of him at 7-weeks-old and he was living outside, just prior to the cold last winter. Smokey needs a loving home with a place to run. Our family schedules have resulted in him being kenneled for 8 hours a day, sometimes up to 12. We also do not have a fenced in yard, so his play is mostly on a leash. He needs a family that can manage his needs and train him better with lots of love. He gets along well with our other, older dog Ranger. He is up to date on shots and hasn't been neutered yet. Our family loves him, but it is not fair to him to keep him so confined. If interested, or know someone that would be, please message me and Stephanie. No rehoming fee. We would pr

Story
Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  *Due to rescuer being very ill, all dogs are in desperate need!!! Greetings! I'm Fluffy! My best friend, Poe, and I were allowed to wander the streets. Our owner just didn't care. I was pregnant at the time. Our rescuer begged for me to be able to come into rescue. So, our owner dumped me and unexpectedly and luckily dumped Poe too! I am a very pretty girl that is about three to four years old. I am mostly fluff and I weigh around eighty pounds. We are the friendliest duo and are exceptionally loving! We adore people and other doggies. We do love children but I can get excitable, so small children may get overwhelmed. We are true buddies. You will always find us hanging out together. We enjoy adventures and would follow you to the ends of the earth. All you have to do is make us yours! Love,Fluffy & Poe *Guest Posting**Discount for two!***Adoption Fee $275 for both If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you can't get it to work, tell us and we will email it to you.ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. September 23, 2023, 12:42 pm

Story
Looking to rehome my Pyrenees/Poodle female mix. Lotus is almost 7 months old September 23. She is the sweetest puppy and loves people! She is VERY energetic, needs activity very often, loves hugging and always wants to be around people. You will need patience with her as she is still a puppy! She is not spayed as the vet recommends she gets a little older before getting spayed for her breed. She also has a small umbilical hernia on her tummy that her vet says is not harmful to her. She loves kids and is fine with cats and dogs. I don't want her to go but she deserves a better life. With that being said I would prefer whoever takes her has a yard, other dogs or a family to accompany her. She needs attention and activity very often so you have to be able and willing to provide that for her. Rehoming fee will be $300 to ensure you are serious and can provide her what she needs for a great life. She will come with all toys, crate and food.

Story
Breezy is a beautiful Great Pyrenees that came to us by no fault of her own. Her family just decided she was too big for them. She is a big girl, already weighing 62 pounds at just 6 months old. She was born March 1, 2023, and will likely get a good bit larger. She is already house trained and does well with other dogs and with children. This is truly one sweet, loving and gentle gal. A home with a fenced yard is needed for this breed. They love to explore and play. Please come get this sweet fluffball and give her the forever home she deserves! To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.
