Meet Izzy! Izzy is a calm and affectionate girl. She does wonderfully with kids, dogs, and cats, though she sometimes needs a gentle reminder that cats don’t always want to play as much as she does (and she listens well!) With her thick, incredibly soft coat, Izzy is perfectly suited for Wisconsin’s cooler temperatures and loves being outside exploring at her own relaxed pace. She’s a low-energy pup, happy to sniff around the yard, chew on a bone, or simply enjoy being near her people. Gigi is a playful, sweet Great Pyrenees with a gentle nature and strong guardian instincts. She is affectionate with her family and is very good with little kids, showing patience and calm around them. Gigi loves to roam and explore, spending her days sniffing out wildlife that has passed through the property. At night, she is alert and naturally keeps coyotes, foxes, and other animals at bay. Because she is a devoted protector of her people, Gigi prefers to be the only dog in the home or to live with adopters experienced with Great Pyrenees who understand proper introductions and boundaries. This is a common trait of livestock guardian breeds and part of what makes her such a loyal companion. Gigi would thrive in a home with acreage or a large, securely fenced yard and a loving family who appreciates the independence and watchfulness typical of Great Pyrenees. She bonds deeply with her people and takes her role as their protector seriously.
