Story
History: We recently welcomed a group of animals who needed help from various unfortunate situations in rural areas down south. Whether overcrowded shelters or unclaimed impounds, they have a second chance at finding their forever homes and hope to meet you soon! A Note from the Foster: Hello future family! Apparently my paperwork says “Oso,” but I’ve decided that’s not my vibe. I answer to Ozzy, and I think that tells you everything you need to know about me... I’m starting fresh with a new name. Please list me as “Oso” though when you apply :) I’m a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees, which basically means I’m a very large, very fluffy, very gentle cloud with paws. I was recently transferred from a southern shelter, and let’s just say… life wasn’t always kind to me. When I arrived, my collar was so tight on my skin that it had left a bald patch, luckily my hair is long enough that it covers it like a comb- over. That part of my story is behind me now, though. I got cleaned up, groomed, and treated like royalty for the first time. Five-star spa day? I earned it. I’m still learning what it means to just be a dog. No one ever really taught me things before. My foster family is showing me how to sit and shake, and guess what? I’m catching on. Turns out I’m pretty smart, I just needed someone patient enough to teach me. I was also a little skinny when I got here, so they’re helping me fill out into the majestic floof I was always meant to be. Let me tell you about snow. It's my new favorite obsession. Whenever I'm in it, I do what my foster mom calls “squirmy worms” in it. Full body wiggles. Pure joy. I LOVE the cold, it’s kind of my thing. Here’s what else you should know about me: Dogs? Cool. If they bark at me, I pretend they don’t exist. Drama isn’t my style. Cats? I ignore them when they make their weird cat noises at me, otherwise I give gentle sniffs. Other animals? They're friends, not food. Kids? Love them. I’m gentle and careful. Potty trained? Yes. Crate trained? Also yes. It takes a little convincing to get me in, but once I’m there? I snooze the entire time. You might even have to wake me up when you get home. Leash walker? I'm a pro, I'll trot alongside you at your pace. I don’t really know how to play yet. If you throw a toy, I’ll chase it. But when I catch it… I just stare at it. Like I’m trying to understand what comes next. It’s a little heartbreaking, I know. I’m still figuring things out. Every day I come a little more out of my shell. What I do know how to do is love my people. I’m what they call a “velcro dog.” I want to be near you. On the couch next to you. At your feet while you work. Close enough to feel safe. I’m a giant snuggle bug. Calm. Mellow. I don’t bark , in fact, my foster family hasn’t heard me bark at all. I’ve been through a lot, but none of it hardened me. I’m still soft. Still gentle. Still hopeful. If you’re looking for a steady, soulful companion who will quietly adore you and learn this whole “being a dog” thing together… I’m your guy. Love, Ozzy

They are sweet, friendly, and loving puppies who are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon! A Note from the Foster: Raina just wants to have fun! She is a playful and curious pup. She is always up for an adventure and will follow you around wherever you go, taking the time to sniff and check out whatever is on the ground along the way. She adapts quickly to her surroundings and likes to hang out with the family whether that includes dogs, cats, or kids! Raina is always looking for her next treat and is eager to please to get them, learning to sit after just a couple of tries! She is getting the hang of potty training and settles in her kennel after a minute or two.

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX. DOGS ARE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org 🎩🐾 Meet Mr. Banks — Proper Gentleman by Day, Professional Cuddle Enthusiast by Night! 🐾🎩 Yes, that Mr. Banks. Named after the famously structured and dignified character from Mary Poppins… and much like his namesake, this Mr. Banks appreciates a well-run household and a predictable schedule. At approximately 3 years old (DOB 3/17/2023) and a dashing 95 pounds, Mr. Banks runs a tight ship. 6:01 — Enter the room. 6:02 — Dinner, belly rubs, cuddles. He does want to clarify that while punctuality is appreciated, he is willing to accept those three items in any order. He’s reasonable like that. Mr. Banks has that “lovin’ life” mentality that turns everyday moments into grand events. A walk isn’t just a walk — it’s a parade. A car ride isn’t just transportation — it’s a red-carpet appearance. A trip to the coffee shop? Obviously he’ll take a puppaccino. He has standards. Despite his impressive 95-pound presence, Mr. Banks is all manners and charm: • House trained ✔ • Crate trained ✔ • Knows his basic commands ✔ • Does not jump on people ✔ • Does not get on furniture ✔ • Does not scratch at doors ✔ • Up to date on vet care ✔ • Accepts brushing like the distinguished gentleman he is ✔ He is extremely treat-oriented. You’ve never seen focus until you’ve seen Mr. Banks lock eyes with a Milk-Bone. NASA could study that level of concentration. He’s fantastic with people — tall, small, and everyone in between. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys a good romp in the yard or toy session. A home with two-legged or four-legged siblings? That would be, in his professional opinion, “the bomb.” And let’s talk adventure size. At 95 lbs, he is: • Perfect for nature hikes (nose engaged the entire time) • Excellent for camping trips (will supervise the campsite) • River-ready (cool water = happy Banks) • Large enough for elite-level cuddle sessions • Big enough to make you feel safe • Just small enough to still try to be a lap dog Mr. Banks would thrive in a home that appreciates: • Consistency (he loves routine) • A little daily activity • A dog who follows the rules • A companion who is equal parts adventure buddy and couch confidant He truly wants to be part of your life — the everyday errands, the weekend fun, the quiet evenings at home. Everything is an adventure to him. Even taking the trash out could be a bonding moment. If you’re looking for a well-mannered, treat-motivated, adventure-ready, schedule-appreciating best friend with a big body and an even bigger heart… Mr. Banks may very well be your boy. 👉 Fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org and let’s see if this distinguished gentleman is ready to clock into your life forever 🐾✨
