Story
Meet Crosby!  He is a loving 7 month old Saluki that was rescued off the streets of Qatar near Saudi Arabia with his sister Carey.  Unfortunately in Qatar they use these beautiful Greyhound like dogs for racing.  After one season of racing them, they dispose of them in the desert, often breaking their legs so they can’t return home.  He was seen by some of the rescuers that we work with there and was saved.  He is one of the extreme lucky ones. He is friendly with people and dogs knows basic commands, is house trained and he would love a chance to be a part of your family! Survivor has been my best friend for the past 12 years. He has been with me through everything, and he truly is the most loving dog. He’s simple and easy to please, all he needs is a cozy bed and a safe spot to curl up. He’ll stay by your side all day and only wanders off when it’s time for bed.Although he is a senior and is slowly losing his vision, he is still very active, playful, and gets around wonderfully. It breaks my heart that I can no longer keep him, but I want to make sure he finds a home filled with the same love and care he’s always known.I’m more than willing to continue helping with his food or anything else he may need. Please help me find a loving home for my sweet boy. I promise he will bring so much love and companionship to your life.

If you're looking for a relaxed, friendly dog who settles easily into everyday life, Dan could be your perfect match. He adores people and loves spending time with his humans, whether that's joining you on a walk or simply relaxing nearby. Dan is a pleasure to walk, travelling beautifully on a loose lead and making outings enjoyable for everyone. He also travels well in the car, making him an ideal companion for adventures or weekend getaways. One of Dan's standout qualities is his wonderful temperament around other dogs. He has shown himself to be great with dogs of all sizes and is especially gentle and respectful with small dogs. During assessments, he showed no signs of resource guarding, happily sharing space and toys without concern. Dan recently retired from racing after a back muscle injury. He also has a previous hock injury, but he has recovered well and is doing just fine. Now he's ready to leave the racetrack behind and enjoy the comfort of a loving home where he can be spoiled the way he deserves. She's happiest when she's close to her people and is a true cuddle expert. In the evenings, she'll happily snuggle up beside you, rest her head in your lap, and soak up as many pats as you'll give her—she could easily spend an hour there! She comes when called by name and loves being part of the family. She has wonderful house manners and settled into home life almost immediately. Wooden floors? No problem. Stairs? She tackled them with confidence. She also travels beautifully in the car and walks like a dream on leash, making outings together a pleasure. Lady gets along very well with other dogs, including small dogs, and enjoys their company. While she has done wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, we're not yet confident about how she'd do with cats. Her calm, affectionate nature makes her an ideal companion for someone looking for a devoted best friend—especially an older person or anyone who would love a constant, loving presence around the home.
