Archie is a very sweet, tall and calm boy for a almost 3 year old. He has a handsome black coat with white markings. He and a few other grays have come a long way to find their forever homes. He is loving his foster home. Archie already caught on to stairs goes up and down no problem. Doing pretty good on the leash learning fast. A smart boy! Has had No accidents in the house and enjoying learning about toys and how much fun they are!! Likes to toss the tennis ball around the backyard and of course doing Zumiez.... With Ash his foster sister. Love's everyone in the house especially kids. Likes to give little kisses if you let him. If he is not napping on a soft dog bed. Archie is watching quietly. He will come and stand next to you too get some much needed love. He enjoys his ears and neck scratched and will lay his head on your lap and gaze at you with his soft brown eyes. "I may be a senior pup, but I like to think of myself as a senior in high school—60 pounds, so handsome and young-looking! I have the softest brown eyes and best ears, especially when I’m trying to figure out a new sound. After 10 years, I’m just learning how to be a dog, but I think I’ve got the hang of it now! Toys and bones have become some of my favorite things along with lots of love. I know how to play fetch with my plush toys…but I’m only good for about 10min (true greyhound fashion!) I nap most of the day but if you say “Walk!”, I’m your guy and get so excited to go exploring! I don’t mind 1-2 miles, piece of cake. Speaking of treats, yes please!! I’m extra gentle when you give me one. Since I came to KC REGAP, I’ve learned that humans are actually really nice and now I love to meet new people; I get so excited! I'm a special needs guy looking for experienced dog owners who will pick up on my verbal and visual cues. Lucky for me being in a foster home since coming to KC REGAP, I’ve learned my human’s verbal cues as well. I am not sure about other dogs along the sidewalk, and I definitely don’t do well with small dogs or cats. My foster mom says I would do best with a privacy fence and as an only dog! In the backyard, you won’t find me doing zoomies just yet; I haven’t quite figured that out. However, I have discovered my voice and love to let you hear it when I get excited or am ready to play! My ideal household would be one with older human siblings (teenage+) or adults. Patience is key with me as I learn to trust you; but I will lean in real hard (almost knocking you over) as I show you lots of love and attention!" We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City. He is the sweetest and loves everyone he meets, human or canine. He loves games of fetch, exploring the yard (chasing squirrels!) and especially chewing on his favorite toy. Spending time with people is tops! He even takes long moments just to lovingly gaze into your eyes. He has a calm, sweet side and loves to snuggle and give hugs - his hugs are super gentle! Dice will thrive in a family that will cherish him and include him in all of their adventures.
