Story
Finn is a big hunk of love waiting for his forever family. He has adjusted wonderfully to life in a home. He has never had an accident in the house and sleeps wonderfully through the night. He wakes up each morning full of joy and excitement for the day! He loves to stick his nose up to say good morning and then rub his face and body on the side of the mattress while his foster parents are getting ready for his favorite activity - the morning walk. When walking he may get a bit excited about a pesky squirrel or need to pause to take in something new, but is mostly happy to gently walk along beside you. If he pauses, a word of encouragement or perhaps a treat will generally get him going again quickly. During the day, Finn can be found in either of his foster parents' home offices stretched out on his bed napping away. Finn LOVES his food and treats. His foster parents have yet to find anything he won’t do for a tasty treat, which comes in super handy for training! His love of treats helped him be quick to learn stairs, but he still likes a little encouragement and treats as he explores new and bigger stairs. His love for food also makes him quite curious in the kitchen – how can a boy resist when his nose is right there at counter height? Finn has been on hikes and trail walks and is so polite to passing people and dogs. He's not bothered when other dogs bark at him. He gets lots of oohs and aahs for his great behavior, sweet face, and shiny fur. In the yard, he loves to play fetch, reliably bringing back a ball for more play. Finn would do best in a home with another dog to keep him company. Will you be the family to love on his sweet face forever? We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City.November 6, 2025, 7:11 pm

Story
Archie is a very sweet, tall and calm boy for a almost 3 year old. He has a handsome black coat with white markings. He and a few other grays have come a long way to find their forever homes.    He is loving his foster home. Archie already caught on to stairs goes up and down no problem. Doing pretty good on the leash learning fast. A smart boy! Has had No accidents in the house and enjoying learning about toys and how much fun they are!! Likes to toss the tennis ball around the backyard and of course doing Zumiez.... With Ash his foster sister.  Love's everyone in the house especially kids. Likes to give little kisses if you let him. If he is not napping on a soft dog bed. Archie is watching quietly. He will come and stand next to you too get some much needed love. He enjoys his ears and neck scratched and will lay his head on your lap and gaze at you with his soft brown eyes.    We will have more on this amazing sweet boy as we get to know him more! "I may be a senior pup, but I like to think of myself as a senior in high school—60 pounds, so handsome and young-looking! I have the softest brown eyes and best ears, especially when I’m trying to figure out a new sound. After 10 years, I’m just learning how to be a dog, but I think I’ve got the hang of it now! Toys and bones have become some of my favorite things along with lots of love. I know how to play fetch with my plush toys…but I’m only good for about 10min (true greyhound fashion!) I nap most of the day but if you say “Walk!”, I’m your guy and get so excited to go exploring! I don’t mind 1-2 miles, piece of cake. Speaking of treats, yes please!! I’m extra gentle when you give me one. Since I came to KC REGAP, I’ve learned that humans are actually really nice and now I love to meet new people; I get so excited!    I'm a special needs guy looking for experienced dog owners who will pick up on my verbal and visual cues. Lucky for me being in a foster home since coming to KC REGAP, I’ve learned my human’s verbal cues as well. I am not sure about other dogs along the sidewalk, and I definitely don’t do well with small dogs or cats. My foster mom says I would do best with a privacy fence and as an only dog! In the backyard, you won’t find me doing zoomies just yet; I haven’t quite figured that out. However, I have discovered my voice and love to let you hear it when I get excited or am ready to play!   My ideal household would be one with older human siblings (teenage+) or adults. Patience is key with me as I learn to trust you; but I will lean in real hard (almost knocking you over) as I show you lots of love and attention!" "I’m a very sweet girl! I love to be near you, go on walks where I can sniff, run in the yard, and play with toys! Oh, and treats! I like a good Kong with peanut butter. I’m smart and have already picked up on commands like, “here girl”, “leave it”, “drop it”, and I am learning to wait before leaving out the front door. I’m great on a leash! Everyone says I’m a beautiful girl, and I agree.  Give me a cozy spot and I do well when I’m left alone. I enjoy a good snooze by the tv and get an afternoon boost of energy for a few zoomies!  I’m learning how to get in the car and already sleep well through the night. I’m a pretty calm, quiet lady.
