Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pascal, now around 8 years old, has had a pretty lengthy history with us. He was originally adopted from us back in 2019 when he was 1-2 years old. He enjoyed life in that home until March 2025, when he was returned to us due to separation anxiety that didn't mesh with his family's busy schedule. He was adopted again in April 2025 and returned after 10 months due to the same issue. Other than this, he is a well mannered guy who's had decent training and knows some basic commands. Pascal has had a weight issue and exceeded 100 pounds. A vet check revealed that his thyroid levels were low, so he is on a relatively low cost medication. His thyroid will have to be monitored and his adopter will need to keep him on the medication and also be willing to help control and lower his weight. His adoption fee is $100. Pascal's breed mix is anyone's guess, but we're thinking greyhound and Plott hound, just to name a couple possible options. He's looking for a nice place to land with someone who is home most of the time. He would love a securely fenced yard in which to romp. He is a very sweet and sensitive soul who bonds very closely to his people. At this time in his life, we do think he'd prefer to be the only pet in a home. Our volunteers have been spending a lot of time with Pascal and hope he will finally find his perfect fit! NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 18, 2026, 10:50 pm
