Story
This handsome fellow is good with people, but he has never learned how to play with other dogs. He’s walking well on a harness and leash. He loves going on walks (where he won't encounter other dogs) and he’s shown that he enjoys going for a swim in the water. Farley loves getting one-on-one attention. Due to his history (see below), he will never be a dog that can go to a dog park, but he would love a fenced backyard to run and play in. If you’d like to have a single dog to cuddle and have no cats in your home, Farley would be a perfect buddy for you. Farley spent nearly all his life at the end of a chain. He was attacked by an animal, perhaps a dog, and received terrible injuries on his neck. Due to his history, Farley is reactive around other dogs while on a leash. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET FARLEY, PLEASE SUBMIT A MYM FORM AND WE WILL ARRANGE A SPECIAL MEETING. FARLEY DOES NOT COME TO REGULAR ADOPTIONS. Gender:  Neutered Male DOB: Approx. 1/23/2019 Current size; 31 pounds   PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Meet Anubis, a sweet and energetic black-brown beagle mix under a year old! This super-friendly girl adores people—her tail wags and full-body wiggles say it all. She loves greeting everyone, enjoys gentle pets and couch cuddles, and gives enthusiastic kisses. Anubis is curious, playful, and friendly with other dogs. She is working hard on her manners, already knowing “sit” and working on “down.” She’ll thrive with someone who can give her attention, engagement, and lots of love.

Story
To learn more about Nugget, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Meet Nugget Nugget is the perfect mix of snuggly and sporty! This handsome boy is a total cuddlebug who loves sleeping under the covers and being close to his people. When he’s not cozied up for naps, you’ll find him chasing a ball-fetch is one of his favorite games. He is especially playful and lively in the mornings when he wakes, ready and excited for the day! Nugget is great with dogs, cats, and children, making him a wonderful fit for a family with lots of love to give. He also enjoys eating with company (no one likes to dine alone, right?) and would thrive in a home where he can be part of the daily routine. He has had a little separation anxiety during some recent life changes, so a stable environment with consistent structure and plenty of outlets for his athletic energy will help him feel secure and happy. He also enjoys the great outdoors and would love to be included in family adventures! Nugget’s heart is as big as his personality, and he’s ready to share it with a forever family who’ll appreciate both his playful spirit and his love of cuddles.
