Meet Cookie! A charming ten-year-old Havanese currently in Scottsdale, AZ, whose essence is a gentle burst of affection wrapped in a beautiful white coat with brown patches. At just nine pounds, Cookie may be petite, but her personality fills every room! This sweet girl is happiest close to her people, whether curled beside them for an afternoon nap, strolling through the neighborhood, joining them on errands, or accepting a treat. After ten years of companionship, Cookie has perfected the art of being a devoted little shadow who wants to share each day with her family! Cookie especially enjoys women and children, greeting familiar people with warmth and enthusiasm. She still has plenty of pep in her step and easily hops on and off furniture. She is not much of a barker, but she communicates warmly with her people every day. Cookie experiences separation anxiety, so her next family must provide companionship and supervision 24/7. She cannot be left home alone, even for routine periods. If her guardian cannot be with her, Cookie must accompany them, attend doggy daycare, or have a trusted pet sitter stay with her. Please only inquire if you can reliably maintain this level of care every day. This is an essential requirement for Cookie’s comfort and transition, not simply a preference. Cookie is house-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Friendly with strangers, compatible with children of all ages, and comfortable around dogs, Cookie brings gentleness and connection wherever she goes! Story
The cutest puppy ever!! This little guy is Stevie and he is an approx 4/5 month old, 10lb, Havanese/Yorkie mix puppy who is absolutely precious! He came to us when he was abandoned along with three other dogs when their owner who was wanted by the police and knew they were coming for him, packed up, took off, and left leaving his dogs alone and scared in the yard. Thankfully, a kind woman who was a neighbor of this person found out what happened and got the dogs safely over to her home. She then reached out for rescue referrals and that is how we were contacted. Once we heard the story, we knew we had to help and got the four dogs picked up and to our vet the next day. The dogs have been fully vetted and Stevie will be neutered when he is age appropriate. We are looking for a forever home for him that has another young and playful dog (he cannot be an only dog) along with owners that are not gone long hours during the day. A home with a safe and secure backyard would be ideal as he absolutely loves to run around and play! Please note that per our vet, Stevie will get bigger, maybe close to 20lbs. This sweet and lovable dog deserves the best forever home out there and we won't stop until we find it! We only adopt in the Greater LA areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial are required. Stevie is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be neutered at the appropriate age.
