Meet Bunny!
If your dream dog is a tiny shadow who wants to follow you everywhere, curl up in your lap, and demand belly rubs as payment for her companionship, Bunny may be your girl!
Bunny is an incredibly sweet, affectionate little lady who is happiest simply being near her people. She is a true lap dog and takes her belly-rub schedule very seriously. If there’s an available lap, she’ll happily fill it!
She also gets VERY excited when her favorite humans come home. And by “very excited,” we mean sometimes her bladder gets excited too. Her foster has learned to guide her toward a potty pad during those enthusiastic reunions so she can “let go of her excitement” in the appropriate place. Bunny is a quick learner and, aside from an occasional accident, understands that potty pads and outside are where she should go.
Bunny is also a certified cat lover! She absolutely adores the cats in her foster home and has even been trusted to roam freely around the house with them while her foster is at work without any issues. She may bark for a few seconds when her person leaves, but she settles down quickly.
When it comes to dogs, Bunny can be a little nervous around the big guys. She may be more comfortable with a smaller canine companion closer to her own size.
She isn't particularly food motivated, although she has made her culinary preferences clear: wet pâté, please! For entertainment, Bunny enjoys small stuffed toys and little bones to chew on.
More than anything, Bunny just wants love, attention, a warm lap, and plenty of belly rubs. She doesn't ask for much—although she may argue that there is technically no such thing as "too many" belly rubs.
If you're looking for a sweet little companion who simply wants to be part of your world, Bunny is ready to hop right into your heart!
They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.

Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by using the link in their approval email. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog.
If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded.
Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home.
Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets.
The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up.
Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
