Story
At just 6 years old and a mighty 6 pounds, Bex, AKA Captain Nugget, is proof that big personalities come in delightfully compact packages. Short, stout, and built like a tiny little brick house, this dense gentleman carries himself with confidence — and one very expressive eye. Yes, he’s rocking the one-eyed look, and he wears it like a badge of honor. It just adds to his charm (and gives him an excellent excuse for dramatic side-eye). Captain Nugget is past the wild puppy phase and fully embracing his distinguished era. He enjoys cozy laps, soft blankets, and being told how handsome he is at least 17 times a day. He’s small enough to fit anywhere, but his presence fills the whole room. Don’t let the size fool you — this little guy has a brave heart and a loyal soul. He’s looking for a home where he can be your steadfast sidekick, professional snuggler, and part-time pirate legend. If you’re ready for 6 pounds of sturdy love with a wink (well… technically a blink), Captain Nugget is ready to meet you. Bex is a 6-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $400 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, dental, and neuter. Bex is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. He is not tested with cats. Bex would prefer a home with no or older children. (While he isn't reactive in the slightest, he is easily overwhelmed by the unpredictability of younger children.) We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! Story
Rory is a 3-year-old Coton de Tulear mix who arrived at his foster home underweight and scared. With consistent care, he's gained two pounds, his coat has filled out, and he's starting to show his personality. He's quiet, house-trained, and LOVES being close to his people. When you sit down, he'll settle right next to you. His foster family says he's exceptionally well-mannered and enjoys short walks. Rory needs a calm, patient home where someone is around most of the day. He's fearful from past trauma and can be nervous around other dogs, but he's not aggressive—he just needs time and gentle introductions. When scared, he withdraws and gets quiet. When he feels safe, his playful side emerges. He'll drag blankets around the room, roll on his back with his paws in the air, and keep you smiling with his antics. Ideal home: Quiet household, patient owner, consistent routine, minimal alone time. If you can offer Rory the stability he needs, he'll be your devoted companion.   Put in an application at eapl.com His adoption fee is $375 February 15, 2026, 2:42 pm
