Story
Meet Janet! ❤️ Janet is a beautiful Havanese puppy born on March 19, 2026, who was rescued from the commercial pet trade and is now discovering what it means to be loved. This sweet, non-shedding little girl is gentle, affectionate, playful, and incredibly smart. She enjoys enrichment puzzles, loves toys, happily plays with her foster siblings, and when she's ready for cuddles, she'll happily burrow into your lap for kisses and tummy rubs. Janet is making excellent progress with potty training, is learning "sit," confidently uses stairs, and has done wonderfully with a considerate 8-year-old child, adults, elderly people, and other small and older dogs. Her only weakness? Give her an almost-empty yogurt cup and she'll proudly decorate her adorable little face while making sure every last bite disappears. To learn much more about Janet, including our adoption process, and to submit an adoption application, please visit: www.pawsitiverestorations.com Applications are accepted ONLY through our website.

Story
Ella is a tiny Havanese puppy born April 13, 2026, and currently weighs just 5.2 pounds. She was rescued from the commercial pet trade and has spent the past several weeks being cherished by a loving foster family while discovering everything life can offer a bright, curious puppy. Ella is playful, affectionate, intelligent, and hilariously confident. Despite being the smallest of her foster siblings, she happily takes on all challengers and frequently wins. When called, she prances or bounds toward her people with excitement, often with her tiny pink tongue peeking out. She loves small stuffies, crinkle toys, ball-pit adventures, snuffle mats, snuffle balls, and enrichment puzzles. Ella is already completing Level 2 and Level 3 puzzles and has mastered stairs. She is currently working on “sit.” When Ella is ready for affection, subtlety leaves the building. She rolls onto her back, lifts her tummy toward the nearest human, and waves her little paws in the air until somebody provides the requested service. She loves being picked up, gives kisses freely, and enjoys cuddling with her foster family. Ella is doing well with potty training. She generally goes outside when taken out regularly and will seek out a potty pad when she cannot get outdoors. She has done well with a considerate eight-year-old child, elderly adults, men, women, and small dogs. Her experience with very young children, large dogs, and cats is unknown. Because Ella is a fragile little girl with very little fear, she would do best with older, considerate children and possibly a gentle dog of a similar size. To learn more about Ella or apply to adopt her, you MUST visit www.pawsitiverestorations.com. Applications must be submitted directly through the Pawsitive Restorations Animal Rescue website. Inquiries or messages sent through Petfinder are not adoption applications.

Story
Whenever a sweet and engaging dog gets into an urgent situation, Farfel's rescuers like to help. We find that these sweet dogs make great family companions because they tend to be loving, intelligent, fun-loving and goofy best friends. They're known for becoming, once comfortable in their environment, very bonded and devoted family companions. Meela, once settled in with her new Colorado family, will make an excellent best friend for all age groups as well as gentle canines. Meela is a cuddly and very sweet 5 and a half year old, 15 pound Havanese / Shih Tzu mix. This breed mix was identified by a Texas veterinarian. We can't swear to it, but what we do know is that she's the sweetest girl ever and will make an excellent family member for a dog-crazy Colorado family. Meela is a pretty dang perfect dog in every way! She is mellow, SO easy going, great with dogs, great with kids, potty trained, and just an easy, good dog! Meela is such a great age and size. At 5 and a half years old, Meela is at perfect stage in her life - young enough to be a blank slate open to training and new concepts while being old enough to have left most of her babyish behaviors behind. At 15 lbs, Meela is a perfect size for neighborhood walks (she's a very social girl once comfortable), mountain hikes , shopping or dining along Pearl Street or just hanging out at home enjoying the love and companionship of her family. We envision active, dog-loving retirees as a great family for our sweet girl. Meela would be thrilled with the time often spent with their dogs by this group. Meela would also do great with a younger family that works from a home-based office to love her up periodically throughout the day. Meela enjoys kids as great playmates and night time snugglers (kids a bit older are desirable so no tail-pulling or awkward handling occurs) and would thrive with the fun and special kind of love that children provide. We feel that Meela is too sensitive a girl to spend long hours alone while her family works full-time outside of the home. Meela has a beautiful non-shedding coat. With a lifelong commitment to sudsy baths, grooming and great nutrition Meela's coat will stay healthy, cottony-soft and shining with excellent health. Meela has been fully vetted and vaccinated to receive her interstate health certificate. She has also been spayed to support the need for help with the challenging dog overpopulation challenge. Meela is available for adoption now! Applications are currently being accepted for our sweet Terrier. If interested in this beautiful ...and very cuddly and loving best friend, please fill out our application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Peaches please be sure to fill out the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Adoptapet, Rescueme and Petfinder don't provide enough information for our purposes. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving pup We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
