Irving will need a fenced in yard as he may run and is very shy. He loves to play with toys, people and other dogs. He uses a puppy door to go outside to potty and loves the outside sometimes he doesn't like to come back in unless you go out and get him. Irving is smart, funny and has a foot fetish. He will catch them when you put them up on something and then lets them go. Also, likes to nibble at your ears, neck or your hair but will not bite or hurt you. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Jelly Belly is the kind of sweet, soft-hearted gentleman who looks like he should star in a tiny dog detective show, quietly observing the world and solving mysteries with nothing but his soulful eyes and perfect manners. He starts out shy, as if he’s politely checking your credentials before allowing you into his inner circle, but once you earn that trust, he reveals the warm, gentle core hidden underneath his fluffy medium coat. He learns new habits faster than you’d expect from such a humble little scholar; it took him only three tries to master sitting and staying for snacks, which he now performs with the quiet pride of a dog who knows he has done a very good job. Jelly Belly rarely barks, unless you are a duck at the pond in which case he will have exactly one thing to say. Inside the home he’s the definition of peaceful, drifting from room to room with the slow confidence of someone who knows he won’t be causing any trouble unless you tempt him with a sock or a stray paperback left on the floor. This charming little explorer lives for his outdoor adventures. Walking and sniffing are his passion, his hobby, and probably his résumé title. He trots along beautifully on leash and prefers elevators to stairs because Jelly Belly is a modern gentleman who appreciates convenience. Indoors, he’s calm and independent, not much of a cuddler, but always polite and always nearby. He sleeps through the night, stays well-behaved when left alone in the condo, and has heroically conquered his old fear of door thresholds. He’s cautious with new people but friendly with dogs and kind with kids, warming up slowly but sincerely. Jelly Belly is a gentle, quirky soul who comes alive the moment he steps outside, ready for the next great sniffing expedition. For someone who appreciates a quiet companion with impeccable manners and an adventurous heart, Jelly Belly is the perfect little gentleman to stroll through life beside. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Bandana is a three-pound peanut of a Havanese puppy who might just be a teacup or simply the smallest version of her breed. Don’t let her size fool you—she’s full of personality, equal parts shy sweetheart and silly little fluffball. Bandana takes her time warming up to new people and situations, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a cuddly, playful companion who loves nothing more than snuggling close to her person. She enjoys romping with the other foster puppy, chasing through the house, and hopping around the yard with leaves or sticks in her mouth. Watching her bounce through the snow that’s taller than she is is pure entertainment. Bandana loves toys that squeak or crinkle, chewing on bones bigger than herself, and giving kisses to the cats, who are closer to her size. She’s smart enough to know she’s tiny, so when the big dogs wrestle, she prefers to stay out of the chaos and retreat to safety at her foster’s feet. Snuggles are her absolute favorite, and if she could be carried around all day, she would be thrilled. She’s still working on potty training and leash skills, and daily grooming will be important to keep her silky coat free of mats. Bandana thrives with another dog in the home to give her comfort and confidence, especially since she leaned on her foster sibling for support when she first arrived. She may be cautious at first, but Bandana’s goofy antics, puppy nibbling, and joyful play will quickly win hearts. If you’re looking for a tiny, snuggly fluffball who will follow you around the house and bring endless smiles, Bandana is ready to hop her way into your life. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!         Cap is a tiny Havanese puppy with a big personality packed into her six pounds of fluff. She’s a busy little girl who loves to sniff around the yard, chase after her dog friends (even the ones much bigger than her), and wrestle with her foster siblings. She’s not afraid to let the other dogs know when playtime gets too rough, but she’s happiest when she has a buddy to romp around with. Cats are fair game for kisses, toys are treasures to be carried proudly through the house, and even bones bigger than she is become her favorite challenge. Cap has discovered the joy of bouncing through fresh snow and racing around with leaves in her mouth, making her antics endlessly entertaining. When playtime is over, she melts into cuddles and snuggles right into your arms. She’s still shy in new situations and takes time to warm up to people, so a calm home with slow introductions is best. Potty training is a work in progress, but she’s learning quickly, especially when she follows the lead of other pets. Daily grooming will be important to keep her silky coat free of mats, and she’ll need regular trims if her family prefers a shorter style. Cap is affectionate, playful, and gentle, with a sweet silliness that will make you smile every day. She would thrive with another dog or cat companion to keep her company, but most of all she’s looking for a family who will love her, laugh at her puppy antics, and give her the safe, happy home she deserves. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Good with dogs,
Story
History and A Note from the Foster: Hi, I’m Teddie! I’m almost 12 years young and on the lookout for a very special adopter—someone who will love me exactly as I am. For the first eight years of my life, I was used only for breeding, and I wasn’t in great shape. But then my foster mom and an amazing rescue stepped in, cleaned me up, and gave me all the care I needed. Four years ago, my last rotten teeth were removed—but don’t worry, I eat everything just fine! Kibble, canned food, crunchy treats… if it’s food, I’m in. Since I have no teeth, my tongue likes to hang out, which everyone says is pretty adorable. When I was first rescued, I was terrified of everything. I’ve come a long way, but I still startle easily—especially since I can’t hear. I’d be happiest in a calm, quiet home where life moves at an easy pace. I’m learning that pets and snuggles are wonderful, but I’m more of a “sit nearby” kind of girl during the day (though at night, I love to snuggle in bed—our little secret!). I’m even starting to warm up to visitors and will sometimes ask for attention, as long as they’re gentle and patient. I’m also making great progress with potty training. I do have a routine—meals first, then #2—so someone who understands my schedule will help me succeed. If you’re kind, patient, and have a big heart for a little dog with a lot of love to give, I just might be your girl. I’m ready to spend my golden years with someone who will cherish me forever. ❤️

Story
History: Phil is a handsome little fella who arrived to rescue recently and immediately warmed our hearts. He is officially ready to start his journey in finding his forever home and hopes to find them soon! A Note from the Foster: Hello! I would love to introduce you to Phil. Phil is a five month old Havanese. He came from a life of no human contact so he is learning each and every single day just how wonderful life can be while not in a kennel all day. Because of his background he does not want to be touched, and snuggled just yet, but I know it won't be long because of his big personality. Phil is so observant and just a little shadow. He always wants to know what is going on and see what is happening. He lays at my feet when I work or sit, and follows me wherever I go....unless he trying to get into mischief. He loves to play with the other foster puppy in the house, and also loves the big resident lab. The cats are no problem for him either, he is interested in them, but never pursues or chases them. Toys are his all time favorite. He is rarely ever without one with him. He makes sure that they never have to stay in the kennel without him, he takes them all out each time. He isn't a big fan of his kennel, he doesn't bark, but likes to dig and mess up his blankets, but no accidents in there. He sleeps all night without a break and knows in the morning to go out for his business. He is very soulful. His eyes are so gentle and inquisitive, his nose adorable and even though he probably needs a haircut soon, you can still see how very handsome he is. He is happy, healthy, cute as ever and would love to have a home where he can finally trust and love forever.
