Meet Benedict. Benedict is an adorable 1–2 year old Havanese who is about as sweet as they come. He has a playful little energy and is still figuring out this new thing called freedom. Everything is exciting right now. The yard, the smells, the toys, the whole world really. Benedict came from a puppy mill, so he’s learning that life can actually be pretty great. Because of that, he will need a family who understands that he’s still learning to trust people and the world around him. Patience and kindness will go a long way with this little guy, and watching his confidence grow is really special. He sleeps through the night in his crate and is quickly catching on that all potty business happens outside. He’s also starting to get the hang of walking on a leash and is very enthusiastic about exploring everything around him. He loves other dogs and would enjoy a dog friend, but he’d also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as he has people to love. He’s affectionate, gives the sweetest kisses, and is slowly learning how to relax, take naps, and just be a dog. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving little guy and are willing to give him the time and patience he deserves, Benedict might be your perfect match. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. Born around March 10, 2024, this little lady weighs just 16.2 pounds and is the perfect size for cuddles, companionship, and tagging along on life’s adventures. Pearl came to rescue when her previous owners could no longer care for her. While that change was hard for her, she hasn’t let it dim her bright personality. She’s a gentle, affectionate girl who gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a fantastic addition to many types of families. This smart pup already walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out for strolls and exploring the world by your side. Pearl truly deserves a home where she will be cherished and treated like the princess she is—complete with love, cozy naps, and plenty of attention. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who will bring joy and sweetness to your home, Pearl may be the perfect match for you.
