Story
Come meet me and hundreds of adoptable pets at Cincinnati's mega adoption event, My Furry Valentine! Saturday, February 21st and Sunday February 22nd at Spooky Nook Sports! Looking for a little love to follow you everywhere? Monroe is a 6-year-old Havanese weighing just 12 pounds, and her love language is togetherness. This girl’s favorite place to be is right by your side—room to room, couch to couch, heart to heart. Monroe adores attention and thrives when she’s with her people. She’s not the biggest fan of being alone, so she’d be perfect for someone who works from home, is retired, or just loves having a loyal shadow. She’s neutral with other dogs but would happily choose humans over toys any day. If you’re searching for a sweet, devoted companion who will be your constant Valentine all year long, Monroe is ready to give you her whole heart. Monroe is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Banjo Banjo is a 3-year-old Lhasa Apso / Wheaten Terrier mix with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. This happy, playful little guy is the definition of a lap dog—he adores being close to his person and soaking up all the attention he can get. Banjo enjoys car rides, leisurely walks, and then curling up right next to you when the day winds down. He gets along well with dogs and people, though he can be a bit bossy around food with other dogs. Because of this, he does best either as the center of someone’s world or in a home with just one other dog, as long as meals are fed separately. Banjo would truly thrive with a single person who wants a devoted companion to spoil and love endlessly. In return, he’ll give you unwavering affection, loyalty, and plenty of happy moments. Adoption fee: $300 Transport available to the Northeast or Midwest for $250 Apply to adopt Banjo: www.adoggie4you.org If you’re looking for a sweet, loving shadow who just wants to be your dog, Banjo may be the one you’ve been waiting for.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 28, 2026, 9:41 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Charlie, a 17-pound Bichon Frise with a heart full of love and an incredible story of resilience. Born around July 8, 2021, Charlie was tragically thrown over the fence onto our property late one freezing night, matted and terrified. Thankfully, a staff member of ours spotted him and ensured his safety.  Despite his rough start, Charlie has blossomed into an affectionate and gentle companion. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs until feeding time.  He has to be fed separately.  This is  very common for dogs that are left to fend for themselves.  They want to make sure they don't go hungry.  Charlie isn't a fan of cats, unless they come with crackers and a little bit of picante sauce.  So his idea home will not have a cat.  Charlie loves people.  Charlie’s sweet nature and resilience are sure to win your heart. Charlie’s adoption fee is $400, which includes his neuter, heartworm-negative test, up-to-date vaccines, and prevention (ProHeart and Bravecto). He’s currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. Charlie is ready to be cherished as part of a loving family. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet and snuggly boy, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Charlie can’t wait to meet his forever family!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 3, 2026, 4:37 pm
