Story
Hi there! I’m Arrow, a handsome 8-year-old red and white Welsh Corgi, about 35 pounds of fluff, legs, and opinions — you know, classic corgi energy. A Little About Me I grew up around lots of dogs and used to get along great with them. These days I can come off standoffish, mostly because one of the dogs in my current home hasn’t always been very nice to me. With a calmer home and fair introductions, I could remember how to dog-friend again — I promise I’ve got it in me. I’ve never been around kids, so a home without little ones or with dog-savvy older kids would probably be best. As for cats… well… chasing is fun. But when I get close, I usually chicken out and run away. So, I guess I’d call myself a “brave-from-afar” cat chaser. My Quirks & Needs • I run free inside the house and hang out in a fenced yard outside. • I’m currently left alone 8–9 hours a day, and I handle that fine. • I will go potty outside, but I need you to actually take me out regularly. If you forget… well… accidents happen. • I LOVE fetch and chewing on bones — these are the keys to my heart. • I’m scared of loud noises and sticks (yep… sticks… it’s a corgi thing). • Please don’t touch my feet. I hate it. But I do need regular brushing and grooming, because I shed enough to knit a whole new corgi every month. • I also shouldn’t jump onto high surfaces — my little legs and long back need protecting. A Quick Word About Being a Corgi Corgis are awesome, but we’re not for everyone. We bark, we shed, and we think herding is our full-time job. So my ideal human is someone who’s familiar with the breed and appreciates our… uh… “unique leadership style.” My Perfect Home has Someone who: • Understands corgis • Will give me structure, love, and fetch time • Can help me build confidence around other dogs • Remembers to take me outside often • Doesn’t mind a little (okay, a lot of) fur in their life If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, slightly dramatic best friend with a big personality on tiny legs, I might just be your guy.
