Adoption Fee: $210Weight: 86.6 lbsArrival Date: 8/27/26Microchip ID#: 985141001980890Meet Barry! Barry is a 7-year-old Husky gentleman who is ready to put his best paw forward and find a family to call his own. This handsome senior has plenty of life left to enjoy—and we’d love to see his next chapter filled with comfort, companionship, and all the good things he deserves.Barry is currently carrying a few extra pounds, so he’s looking for a family who will be his wellness team—helping him get moving, serving up nutritious meals, and keeping up with his veterinary care. Think of it as a little weight-loss journey with a very fluffy coach. Barry also has one important request: please leave the ears alone. He’s not a fan of having them touched, and he wants his future family to respect that boundary. Give him space where he needs it, let him build trust at his own pace, and show him that his people will listen when he says, “No thank you.”Senior dogs have a special way of appreciating the simple things, and Barry is ready for those simple things to be his new normal—a comfy place to relax, a family who understands him, and someone who thinks he’s pretty darn wonderful exactly as he is. If you have room in your heart for a handsome Husky who deserves a second chance, come meet Barry at SafeHaven today!

Adoption Fee: $210Weight: 44.2lbsArrival Date: 8/5/26Microchip #: 941010004222047Kodiak likes to take a little time getting to know new people and places, but once he settles in, his affectionate and loyal personality shines through. He enjoys making friends at his own pace and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts.Kodiak is looking for a family who will give him the chance to feel comfortable and be himself. In return, you`ll gain a devoted companion who will be by your side through all of life`s adventures.Kodiak would do best in a home without small farm animals, especially birds, as his instincts make them a poor match. He`s also quite the escape artist and should never be left unattended outdoors unless he`s securely on a leash or in a safely enclosed area.If you`re looking for a kind-hearted best friend with plenty of love to give, Kodiak might just be your perfect match.

Story
Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX)

I looked very "ruff".... my eyes were dull and scared and my fur was not white or floofy, like it is now! And boy was I SKINNY :( But NOT ANYMORE!! I am now the Princess I was meant to be! I have a glowing white floofy coat, I have the confidence and love to give out and receive... AND I am ready for you and your family to love FuREVER!! I will give you and your family so much love and fun for life! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Helene means “shining light”. Helene, as adult husky/shepherd mix exemplifies this with humor & intelligence shining in her 2 different colored eyes. Helene loves to play with toys and other dogs. Her favorite toy, by far is a tennis ball. One might accurately call her obsessed . She will happily chase tennis balls, chew on them, “almost” bring them back to you, then dance away. Even split, goopy tennis balls are treasured until confiscated by her foster mom & thrown away. She will lick & nuzzle with stationary cats, but will chase them if they run. She is a wonderful cuddler, smiles a lot, & is oh, so happy. The more comfortable she is in her home, the more frequently the husky “talk” comes out! - Especially if it is smack talk disagreeing with not getting an additional treat. Helene would be great as a solo dog or as a companion dog to an existing “pack.” Can she be part of your family? Attributes: Tennis ball obsessed Cat safe with supervision Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
