Story
Meet Bailey!Bailey is a young, energetic Husky-Shepherd mix (with a bit of mystery sprinkled in) who's ready for an active home that can help her reach her full potential. She's a sweet, people-loving girl with a big personality and an even bigger voice!Personality & TemperamentBailey is true to her Husky roots-curious, independent, and always following her nose. She can be a little aloof at times, but she warms up quickly and loves attention from people. She's playful, bright, and eager for adventure.Training & BehaviorBailey currently has no formal training and will need an adopter committed to helping her learn good manners and structure. She's very strong on leash and requires continued work on recall. With consistency (and maybe some tasty treats), she has great potential.Good With...Dogs: Seems comfortable around other friendly dogs given proper introductionCats/Small Animals: UnknownPeople: Very friendly!Ideal HomeBailey is not a match for first-time dog owners or homes with young children-she'll thrive with someone experienced, patient, and active. Because she has a loud bark/yelp and a healthy set of Husky vocals, she's not suited for apartments or condos. She's looking for a home that can offer space, training, exercise, and lots of love.If you're ready for a fun, spirited companion who will keep life interesting, Bailey may be the adventure buddy you've been waiting for! Story
Meet Stella! Stella is very excitable girl! Her ears like to stand up tall to emote her bubblyness! Stella was surrendered from her only family since being a puppy due to not having time to meet her needs. Stella is a large, strong, very intelligent dog. She will need an adopter who can handle her strength, offer her plenty of physical and mental enrichment, and someone able to work with her to help her fulfill her potential!Stella bonds strongly with her people and does get attached deeply. She does get sad when her people leave her behind. She would be best suited living in a home with a pawrent, or two that work from home, or someone who is able to support her with her separation anxiety.Stella is a fun girl with a big loving personality, and she's ready to find her people, who will stick with her til the bitter end!She is in an awesome foster home awaiting adoption and this what they noticed with Stella girl:-loves socializing with people and dogs. Wants to say hi to everyone.-does not bark much. I think I've only heard her bark twice in the past week.-loves playing tug a war.-loves car rides.-likes routine.-she would benefit from living somewhere with a fenced yard where she can run and burn some of her energy. Please follow these steps if interested in adoption!1. View the animal's profile at adopt.spca.bc.ca 2. Submit an application https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/3. Story
**Note: currently, Saenan is in Korea. but he will fly to Vancouver once he is adopted. Background Beautiful Saenan was rescued from a city pound in Sangju, Korea, last winter. Since then, he’s been living safely at our partner boarding house, sharing his days with other rescue dogs. Personality & Socialization Saenan is a happy, bright boy with a big heart. He loves to play with other dogs. Especially those who enjoy running and chasing just like him. Being a Husky, he’s full of energy and joy, and outdoor playtime is truly his favorite part of the day. When it comes to other dogs, Saenan has been very sociable and well-mannered. He spends most of his time with dogs around his size, and he’s always comfortable and loving in their company. He gets along easily and enjoys being part of the group. Saenan is also very affectionate and friendly with people, men, women, and even new faces. He warms up quickly to anyone who shows him kindness and loves being close to his humans. Behaviours Saenan has been an easygoing dog since joining our adoption program. He rides well in the car, does fine during baths and vet visits, and follows his human’s lead nicely. He doesn’t bark excessively and enjoys a calm, happy routine. After his outdoor play sessions, he relaxes quietly and enjoys cuddling or resting beside his friends. Saenan walks well on leash and hasn’t shown destructive behaviors. Health & Diet When rescued, Saenan was treated for heartworm and has made a full recovery. He is now healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Saenan would do best with someone familiar with the Husky breed. Ideally, a family who understands their energy and exercise needs. He would love a home with another friendly, playful dog around his size to keep him company and share his adventures. An active person or family who enjoys outdoor activities would be a perfect match for him. Saenan is very loyal, smart, and loving, whoever welcomes him home will be very lucky to have such a faithful companion. ---------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption agreement, please submit your link. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/saenan/

Story
I’m Blue, and I’m a curious, bright-eyed Husky with a big heart and even bigger love for the world around me. Every walk feels like an adventure—every scent, every sound is something new to explore. I get so excited, like I’m discovering the world for the first time! When I meet people, I can’t help but walk right up and sniff their faces, just to say, “Hi! Who are you?” People always smile when I do that—maybe it’s the way I tilt my head or my wagging tail that makes them laugh. I get along pretty well with other dogs, too! I do sometimes forget how strong or energetic I can be, especially around smaller pups. I think I’m the same size as them, so I play a little rough without meaning to. If I’m with little friends, I’ll just need someone to help me play more gently. I'm learning! Oh—and being a Husky, I have that classic husky voice… yep, I howl sometimes. When I feel lonely or miss my people, I might sing a little to let you know. So I’d do best in a home where I’m not left alone too often. I really do love being near my humans. I’ve been through a tough start—abandoned alone in a basement—but I’ve never let that stop me from trusting or loving people. I still believe in the goodness of humans, and I’m ready to give all my love to the right family. If you're looking for a joyful, curious, and loyal companion who will fill your days with adventure and laughter, I’m your guy. Let’s discover the world together. With love, Blue 🐾
