**Note: Currently, Saenan is in a foster home in Surrey, BC.For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please click this link.BackgroundBeautiful Saenan was rescued from a city pound in Sangju, Korea, last winter. He lived with other dogs at our partner boarding house until he left Korea. Currently, he lives in a foster home in Surrey, BC.Personality & SocializationSaenan has a medium to high energy level, but he is not overly hyper. He carries a happy and balanced kind of energy that makes him a really easy companion to live with. He loves being outside, whether it is going for walks, getting fresh air, or simply lying in the sun and relaxing. When it comes to other dogs, Saenan has been very sociable and well-mannered. He spends most of his time with dogs around his size, and he’s always comfortable and loving in their company. He gets along easily and enjoys being part of the group.Saenan is also very affectionate and friendly with people, men, women, and even new faces. He warms up quickly to anyone who shows him kindness and loves being close to his humans.BehavioursSaenan has been an easygoing dog since joining our adoption program. He rides well in the car, does fine during baths and vet visits, and follows his human’s lead nicely. He has recently discovered the joy of playing with toys, and it is adorable to watch. Seeing him pick up a toy and happily entertain himself is such a sweet moment. He plays with a gentle, curious excitement that really shows his playful and innocent side.He enjoys a calm, happy routine and a peaceful home environment. After his outdoor play sessions, he relaxes quietly and enjoys cuddling or resting beside his friends. Saenan walks well on leash and hasn’t shown destructive behaviors.Health & DietWhen rescued, Saenan was treated for heartworm and has made a full recovery. He is now healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies.Ideal HomeSeanan would do best with someone familiar with the breed or at least experienced with large dogs. Compared to other Huskies, he has a more mellow and easygoing personality and does not require as much exercise. He would enjoy a home with another friendly large dog, as he likes being around other dogs. However, he would also be perfectly happy as the only dog in a home that enjoys walks and spending time outdoors with him. Seanan is very smart, loyal, and loving. He will be a devoted and wonderful companion.**Note: Currently, Saenan is in a foster home in Surrey, BC.For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please click this link.

Story
**Nova is available for foster-to-adopt local to the South Okanagan area** Nova is a bright, friendly girl who arrived at the SPCA as a stray, so her past is unknown - but her loving nature is unmistakable. She's eager to meet new people, soak up affection, and be part of someone's daily routine. True to her breed, Nova is an active, intelligent dog who's always looking for something to do. She'll thrive with guardians who can offer plenty of enrichment, exercise, and structure to keep her mind and body busy.Nova appears to be friendly with other dogs, and she may enjoy having a canine companion. However, we're not sure how she feels about cats, so careful introductions - or a cat‑free home - would be best.Because she came in as a stray, Nova may be prone to escape behaviours, which is very typical for her breed. A secure environment and a calm, consistent routine will help her feel safe and settled. We also suspect that Nova may not enjoy confinement such as a crate; she'll be happiest spending time with her people or enjoying a secure, fenced yard rather than being closed in.Nova is ready for a fresh start with someone who appreciates her energy, intelligence, and affectionate spirit. With the right support and an active lifestyle, she'll make a joyful and loyal companion. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Cream Weight: 22.5 Age: 6yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Rhubarb or Rhu for short is a small, fluffy girl with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. She's everything people love about the breed-expressive, clever, affectionate, and always ready to "chat" about her day. Her signature husky storytelling is one of her most endearing traits, and she'll happily keep you entertained with her opinions and commentary. She adores her people and wants nothing more than to be the center of someone's world. Rhubarb is looking for a home where she can be the queen of the household, soaking up all the love without having to share space with other animals. Her ideal family understands the busy, energetic nature of a husky and is excited to give her the mental and physical stimulation she thrives on. With the right mix of activity, enrichment, and companionship, she settles in beautifully for a peaceful night's sleep.A secure fenced yard is a must for this adventurous girl-she loves to explore, stretch her legs, and burn off her boundless energy safely. We do want to highlight the word "secure" as this girl is skilled at finding where she can break free to go say hi to the neighbours. Even though I'm sure everyone loves saying hello to this happy girl, it is important to ensure she is safe in a secure yard. If you feel Rhubarb may be a good fit for your home, please complete our online application and staff will contact you to discuss further if it is a good fit. Please follow these steps if interested in adoption!1. View the animal's profile at adopt.spca.bc.ca 2. Submit an application - https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/3. If it's a match, staff will contact you to set up an appointment for a meet & greet. PLEASE NOTE: This cat is located on the Sunshine Coast and travel via BC Ferries is required to adopt. Appointments are preferred to adopt one of our animals. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Red Weight: 19.6 Age: 6yrs 3mths 2wks

Story
A Forever Home Wanted for Callie 🐾 Meet Callie — our beautiful Siberian Husky mix (we think she has some Golden Retriever in her too, and it shows in the sweetest ways). Born in January 2024, Callie came into our lives when she was 6 months old after we rescued her from a shelter in Toronto. From the moment we brought her home, she's been pure sunshine. Callie is the perfect blend of her two breeds — the striking looks and playful spirit of a Husky, with the gentle, loving heart of a Golden. She's affectionate, social, and has the softest eyes that will melt you the second she looks at you. She loves long walks, zoomies in the park, belly rubs, and falling asleep next to her people. She's smart, curious, and has so much love to give. After being rescued once already, Callie has shown us what a resilient and trusting soul she is. She deserves a home that will give her stability, love, and adventure for the rest of her life.

Story
Meet Tiffany a sweet, shy, and beautiful girl with a heart full of love. After a rough start to life and some time away from the centre, this gentle pup has shown remarkable resilience as she learns to navigate the world with fresh eyes.Tiffany is looking for a very specific type of home that will help her thrive; namely a consistent routine, continuous access to a securely fenced yard, and a commitment to 'fear free' training. Tiffany can initially be shy with people she is unfamiliar with, and will often shy away from quick movements or loud noises. Once she's had some time to get to know you, she really enjoys pets, scratches, and snuggles! Yummy treats or a fun play session is often the first step in earning that trust! She particularly loves to rip around with her squeaky toys and will happily show off her zoomies! While a comfortable home environment is always number one, we've seen Tiffany tend to prefer constant access to outdoors to help her feel more secure. Lying in the sun, taking a dip in a kiddie pool, or playing with toys on the soft grass often trumps being kept inside for her - especially on these nicer days. If you are looking for a sweet, loving dog, and have a peaceful home to allow for Tiffany to thrive in her own time, we encourage you to chat with a team member or apply online!Because of Tiffany's shy nature, an online or in person application will be required prior to a meet and greet: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 24.1 Age: 4yrs 1mths 4wks

Story
Luna is arriving to PNW next week. We are looking for an active home for her, where she can get daily walks, weekend hikes and all the adventures the Pacific Northwest can offer!———————————Hi, I’m Luna 🌙My story begins in Saudi Arabia, where I was given to a family as a gift. They had no experience with dogs, and when I had an accident inside the house, they hit me with a stick and moved to the backyard, left chained in the brutal desert heat.A kind person saw my photo on social media and stepped in, taking me to a vet who found more signs of beating on my back. But from the very first moment I was free, I was friendly, gentle with kids, tolerant and soft. I’ve been through a lot, but it never changed who I am.I made my way to Lebanon, where I lived alongside 6–7 cats without issue and thrived with other dogs of all sizes. Indoors, I’m calm and quiet — no barking, no destruction. With people, I won’t run up to greet you right away. I’ll hang back and watch first. But the moment I decide you’re safe, I’m all in for cuddles and closeness. A kind, patient home with a fur sibling will help me remember that not everyone is out to hurt me. Once I know that, I truly blossom!I love the outdoors — hiking, exploring, adventures. A home with a friendly Husky or similar breed and an active lifestyle would make me absolutely light up. I’ve already come so far. I just need someone to take me the rest of the way. I’m also quite small for a husky and mellow with everyone I meet 🤍If you’d like to adopt me, reach out to my rescue.More pictures and videos at @PawesomeBaby Instagram stories.—-——————About Luna:• 🎂 Age: 2–3 years• ✨ Spayed female• 🐺 Size: Medium Husky• 🤝 With dogs: Loves them — thrives with a canine companion• 🐱 With cats: Has lived with cats — cat trainable• 🌸 With people: Shy at first, blossoms once she knows you’re friendly• ⚡ Energy: Active — loves walks and outdoor adventures—-——————
