Story
My name is MUKLUK (Milo) and here is a little info about me:Breed: HuskyAge: 5 yrsGender: maleWeight: 66 lbHeight: 21.5 inchesCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: Sociable, Calm, Obedient, Intelligent, Lovable, Friendly A resilient Husky with dreamy brown eyes, finally ready to trade that scorching roadside for a cozy spot right by your side!My rescuer found me about a year ago on a sweltering summer day by the roadside.I was in critical condition, suffering from severe dehydration, anemia, and heatstroke. After immediate emergency care and IV fluids, I made a miracle recovery. Now that I’m healthy and strong, it is finally my turn to find a forever home in lovely Canada.Being a sociable fellow, I truly love spending time with people and showering them with affection. While some Huskies are high-energy, I have a much calmer soul and enjoy sleeping next to my favorite human. I’m quite a smartypants and listen well during training because I genuinely want to please you. Teaching me new skills or fun tricks would be a great way for us to bond! A home with a fenced yard or an active owner who can take me on daily walks would be perfect. You will absolutely love my dreamy brown eyes gazing into yours with nothing but pure love. Health notes:Fully recovered from past heatstroke and anemia. I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2373216##

My name is LUNAH and here is a little info about me:Breed: HuskyAge: 4 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 27 kgHeight: 63 cmCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): Calm, mellow, quiet, shy, well mannered, clever, loyal Just a well-mannered, chilled out girl sitting here awaiting a home in wonderous Canada.A lady found me wounded & abandoned in the streets of the Middle East. I had a large gash across my muzzle. She got me immediate medical attention and I healed up well. Now I am ready for a home. While I tend to be a bit shy, I love attention. You'll find me the laid back sort. My rescuer describes me as quiet, calm and mellow. Now that makes for a pretty good couch potato to snuggle, right?FOOD? Did I hear the word nummies? Mmmmm, big food lover here. We can share snacks while watching TV.Yup, you are seeing right... I have bi-colored eyes. One light, one dark. Pretty cool, hunh? Bonus: I am terrific with kids and other dogs. Don't know much about those fluffy mewsie things though.I am clever, so should be able to learn things quickly. Loyalty is one of my best traits though. We can be besties. I think I would acclimate well to most homes. So, whaddaya say? Ready for me to enter your life? Story
**Note: Currently, Saenan is in a foster home in Surrey, BC.For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please click this link.BackgroundBeautiful Saenan was rescued from a city pound in Sangju, Korea, last winter. He lived with other dogs at our partner boarding house until he left Korea. Currently, he lives in a foster home in Surrey, BC.Personality & SocializationSaenan has a medium to high energy level, but he is not overly hyper. He carries a happy and balanced kind of energy that makes him a really easy companion to live with. He loves being outside, whether it is going for walks, getting fresh air, or simply lying in the sun and relaxing. When it comes to other dogs, Saenan has been very sociable and well-mannered. He spends most of his time with dogs around his size, and he’s always comfortable and loving in their company. He gets along easily and enjoys being part of the group.Saenan is also very affectionate and friendly with people, men, women, and even new faces. He warms up quickly to anyone who shows him kindness and loves being close to his humans.BehavioursSaenan has been an easygoing dog since joining our adoption program. He rides well in the car, does fine during baths and vet visits, and follows his human’s lead nicely. He has recently discovered the joy of playing with toys, and it is adorable to watch. Seeing him pick up a toy and happily entertain himself is such a sweet moment. He plays with a gentle, curious excitement that really shows his playful and innocent side.He enjoys a calm, happy routine and a peaceful home environment. After his outdoor play sessions, he relaxes quietly and enjoys cuddling or resting beside his friends. Saenan walks well on leash and hasn’t shown destructive behaviors.Health & DietWhen rescued, Saenan was treated for heartworm and has made a full recovery. He is now healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies.Ideal HomeSeanan would do best with someone familiar with the breed or at least experienced with large dogs. Compared to other Huskies, he has a more mellow and easygoing personality and does not require as much exercise. He would enjoy a home with another friendly large dog, as he likes being around other dogs. However, he would also be perfectly happy as the only dog in a home that enjoys walks and spending time outdoors with him. Seanan is very smart, loyal, and loving. He will be a devoted and wonderful companion.**Note: Currently, Saenan is in a foster home in Surrey, BC.For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please click this link.

Story
Meet Maddy - the husky from Lake Chapala Mexico! Maddy is a happy and sweet girl who was found in Mexico, sadly she is one of several breeds that do not belong in the hot climate. We have pulled her from the local shelter and got her ready to travel to Canada. She is local in the lower mainland. She is estimated at about 2.5 to 3 years old. She is not fully housetrained but our amazing foster is working on that. She has not been tested with kids or cats. Maddy is a young, energetic husky mix. Absolutely loves being included on outings where she can sniff and run.  Swimming doesn’t crack the top 10 epic adventures but she is learning it’s not that scary either. Maddy is not an extroverted social butterfly to every stranger or dog. She likes to look and watch, then maybe approach things on her own time.  She does warm up fairly quickly though. She is incredibly social with her people and other household dogs. She LOVES to play with other dogs, her play is pretty rough and might turn off a dog that doesn’t enjoy roughhousing. Currently Maddy is working on having a solid off switch and boundaries in the house.  With consistency and clarity she picks up things very quickly. She is a very willing participant in training, and personal play.   VETTING: Fully vaccinated Neutered/Spayed Dewormed SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma) Flea/tick/heartworm prevention No known medical issues or injuries PLEASE NOTE: There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval. ##2765409##
