Story
Greetings from down south. My name is NIEVE, and here is a little info about me:Breed: HuskyAge: 7 years approxGender: FemaleWeight: 54 lbsCountry of origin: MexicoHighlight(s): Devoted mama, calm temperament, beautifully adapted to home life Unlike many huskies, I am not high-energy or demanding. I’m a gentle, affectionate girl who loves being close to my people. After surviving life on the streets, I now cherish the comfort and safety of a warm home.Abandoned on the streets in the southern area of Mexico,  because I was not spayed, I ended up having a litter of puppies. This, while trying to survive outdoors. From that litter, only one puppy survived — my daughter, Loola (also posted.)Thankfully, I was rescued and brought into a safe home environment where I have adapted very well to domestic life and human interaction. My rescuer states I have shown what a remarkable and resilient dog I am. Now, I enjoy stability, kindness, and the comfort of indoor living. I am calm, loving, and very people-oriented. I enjoy attention and welcome visitors with a relaxed and friendly nature. I bond closely with my humans and have a quiet, loving presence. I also have excellent manners and am house-trained.When it comes to other dogs, I am generally calm and not aggressive. I typically keep my distance or ignore unfamiliar dogs at first. On occasion, I may give a low growl if another dog is too invasive in my space, but I will not escalate or initiate conflict. With proper introductions and respectful dogs, I relax over time. Are you aware, my name means Snow? Pretty fitting for a husly, don't you think? If you are interested in 2 dogs, my daughter Loola is also needing a home. We do great together. There would be a little discount for adopting more than one of us.I would thrive in a loving home where I can continue enjoying indoor life and companionship. A calm, stable environment with kind and patient adopters would be ideal.Videos coming soon. Energy Level:Low to moderateI get along with:Dogs: yes (but can be selective)Cats: Unknown, rescuer states yes, await vidsKids: Yes Fears: None observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition as I adjust to my new surroundings.Training:Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: History of adverse reaction to Bravecto. Heartworm testing in process.I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2665316##

Story
**Note: Currently, Saenan is in Korea, but will arrive in Vancouver upon adoption. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/saenan/ ------------------------------ Background: Beautiful Saenan was rescued from a city pound in Sangju, Korea, last winter. Since then, he’s been living safely at our partner boarding house, sharing his days with other rescue dogs. Personality & Socialization: Saenan is a happy, bright boy with a big heart. He loves to play with other dogs. Especially those who enjoy running and chasing just like him. Being a Husky, he’s full of energy and joy, and outdoor playtime is truly his favorite part of the day. When it comes to other dogs, Saenan has been very sociable and well-mannered. He spends most of his time with dogs around his size, and he’s always comfortable and loving in their company. He gets along easily and enjoys being part of the group. Saenan is also very affectionate and friendly with people, men, women, and even new faces. He warms up quickly to anyone who shows him kindness and loves being close to his humans. Behaviours: Saenan has been an easygoing dog since joining our adoption program. He rides well in the car, does fine during baths and vet visits, and follows his human’s lead nicely. He does not howl. We have never heard him howl. He enjoys a calm, happy routine and a peaceful home environment. After his outdoor play sessions, he relaxes quietly and enjoys cuddling or resting beside his friends. Saenan walks well on leash and hasn’t shown destructive behaviors. Health & Diet: When rescued, Saenan was treated for heartworm and has made a full recovery. He is now healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home: Saenan would do best with someone familiar with the Husky breed. Ideally, a family who understands their energy and exercise needs. He would love a home with another friendly, playful dog around his size to keep him company and share his adventures. An active person or family who enjoys outdoor activities would be a perfect match for him. Saenan is very loyal, smart, and loving, whoever welcomes him home will be very lucky to have such a faithful companion. Story
Meet Juneau 💛Juneau is a beautiful 3.5-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix with soulful eyes and a gentle heart. This sweet girl absolutely loves meeting new people and will happily greet you with a soft tail wag and curious smile. She thrives on calm companionship and forms deep bonds with her trusted humans. When Juneau first came to us, she was battling a severe skin infection that clearly made her uncomfortable and sensitive to touch. Because of that painful experience, she can still be a bit cautious about handling-especially unexpected or rough petting. The good news? Her skin is healing beautifully with medication, and as she continues to feel better, her confidence grows too.We also suspect Juneau may have allergies, so she is currently on a special diet trial to help pinpoint any sensitivities and keep her feeling her best. Her future family should be prepared to continue working with a veterinarian to support her skin and overall health.Juneau would do best in a calm, adult-only home without children, where her boundaries are respected and she can continue building positive associations with gentle touch. With patience, understanding, and lots of love, Juneau will reward her family with unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship. If you're looking for a sweet, sensitive soul who just needs a little extra understanding, Juneau might be your perfect match. 🐾If you think you could be Juneau's forever home, please fill out an online application. Story
Meet Shelby 🐾If you've ever thought, "I wish my best friend had more opinions," Shelby is your girl. This playful, energetic Husky queen is fully up to date on all neighbourhood happenings. Squirrel three fences down? Noted. Delivery truck arriving early? Reported. Leaf blowing suspiciously across the yard? Investigated. She runs a tight ship.Shelby is an outdoorsy legend 🌲 Whether it's hiking trails, beach strolls, snowy adventures, or "let's just wander and see what happens," she is IN. She's looking for an active human who enjoys doing the things - bonus points if you also narrate your hikes dramatically like she does.Shelby Highlights:🐾 Knows sit, down, shake a paw, and an absolutely charming sit pretty🐕 Great with medium to large dog pals🚫 No cats or livestock, thank you kindly🚗 Loves car rides... but please keep the windows closed. Wind in her fur? Absolutely not. She has standards.🍗 Foodie... but the picky, discerning, five-star-review kindAnd can we talk about the cat-like affection? Shelby doesn't just lean in for pets - she rubs up against you like a 60-pound husky-shaped house cat. It's equal parts hilarious and heart-melting.Now, fair warning: she is chatty. Like, husky chatty. She will tell you when she's hungry, when she'd like a walk, when the vibes are off, when the vibes are great, and possibly when Mercury is in retrograde. Communication is key in any healthy relationship, right? 😉Shelby isn't looking for couch-potato energy (unless it's post-adventure recovery mode). She wants a human who says "Let's go!" and means it. Someone who appreciates personality, loyalty, and a little dramatic flair. If you're ready for a playful, opinionated, outdoors-loving sidekick who will both hike mountains and supervise your snack choices - Shelby is waiting. 🖤https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Shelby, spayed female, Husky X, 5.5 years, ID# 568904 Primary Color: White Weight: 29 Age: 5yrs 6mths 1wks
