Story
2.5 year old Husky cross Palomo is looking for his perfect home. Palomo has had a hard start in life – wandering with his mum and siblings as a puppy to survive on food scraps, then survived a hurricane and now awaits a real life from the SPCA PV sanctuary. Palomo is a stunning boy who would like a home with outdoor space as he hasn’t been a city dog – though he walks past cars and trucks and even cows without much fuss. Palomo is playful but selective about his dog friends, and visits cats regularly (sometimes with a bit of zeal). He likes cuddles (though doesn’t always want to be rushed by strangers). He is a smart boy who we’d love to see wandering or running free in a big Canadian space! Palomo weighs 50lbs, is neutered, healthy and vaccinated. If you think you might be his chance at a family, or foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response.

Story
2.5 year old Husky cross Chiquita is looking for her perfect home. Chiquita has had a hard start in life – wandering with her mum and siblings as a puppy to survive on food scraps, then survived a hurricane and now awaits a real life from the SPCA PV sanctuary. Chiquita is one of the most stunning dogs in the sanctuary, with her unique colouring and caramel eyes. She leans in for snuggles, and falls at your feet for belly rubs with guests to the sanctuary trying to get a taste for real life with someone who loves her as their own. Chiquita is playful and enjoys time with the puppies to feed off their youth. She can be selective with certain dogs, which is common for a girl of her age and we think she’d love a home all to herself. We would love to see her enjoying outdoor space in a cooler climate (Mexico is a pretty hot spot for a husky cross!). Chiquita happily visits regularly with cats – at times a bit excited around them. As she’s spent her early life in sanctuary she’s hasn’t had exposure to kids or big crowds. As a bigger girl, we’d love to see her land somewhere outside the big city. Chiquita weighs 55lbs, is spayed, healthy and vaccinated. If you think you might be her chance at a family, or foster along the way, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Story
Meet Rambo - a big, lovable goofball with all the charm (and chaos) you'd expect from a young husky who's still figuring out how to dog.Rambo is around 3 years old, neutered, and currently waiting for a scheduled vet re‑check, so for now he'll be looking for a foster‑to‑adopt home until he gets the all‑clear. Once he's medically cleared, he'll be ready to officially join his forever family. This boy is large, silly, and absolutely convinced that enthusiasm counts as manners (he's currently learning otherwise). He's working hard on his skills and picking things up quickly - he's a husky after all: smart enough to learn anything, stubborn enough to question why he should.Rambo is not fully housetrained yet, but he's showing promising signs and genuinely seems to understand the concept. With a bit of routine and patience, he should catch on quickly. He loves people, loves fun, loves being involved in whatever you're doing, and will thrive in a home that enjoys an energetic, vocal, slightly dramatic husky who keeps life entertaining.Rambo Would Be a Great Match For:Someone familiar with husky quirks and energy levelsA home ready to continue his training and structurePeople who appreciate a dog that's equal parts brain, brawn, and goofinessSomeone who doesn't mind a little chaos while he learns the ropesIf you're looking for a sweet, spirited, slightly clueless but very eager companion, Rambo might be your guy. He's a work in progress - but in the absolute best way. Primary Color: Wolf Grey Secondary Color: Black Weight: 31.5 Age: 3yrs 0mths 1wks

When she feels comfortable, she'll lean in close for slow, steady pets and enjoys time with her favourite humans. She came to us with some skin discomfort, so she is still unsure about sudden or unexpected touch. Story
Elsa is a 1-year-old female Wolfdog, weighing 23kg. She was rescued just in time from a shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia. Now, she’s looking for a loving family who will give her the life she deserves. Elsa is full of energy, curiosity, and love, making every day an adventure! Personality & Behavior Elsa is a bright and affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. She expresses her excitement with joyful jumps when greeting her favorite humans. While this is endearing, she already understands the "sit" command, so with consistent training, she can learn to greet politely. Elsa thrives on human interaction and will form a deep bond with her owner through love, training, and patience. She is still learning how to socialize with other dogs properly. While she is not aggressive, she needs time and guidance to build confidence in dog interactions. Currently, she is undergoing training to help her navigate social situations with other pups. With continued support, she will improve and learn to play in a balanced way. Activity & Training Needs As a Wolfdog, Elsa is naturally athletic and has impressive jumping ability. She needs an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise to stay happy and well-behaved. A daily routine of long walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime will help her burn off energy and settle calmly at home. She is currently in training, where she follows a structured routine that includes three outdoor exercise sessions a day for potty breaks and play. If her new family maintains a similar schedule, Elsa will quickly adjust to her new home. Elsa is an intelligent dog who picks up training quickly. She already knows "sit" and is learning to wait calmly for treats. With consistent training, she has the potential to learn many more commands and become a well-mannered companion. The Perfect Home for Elsa Elsa will thrive in a home with: ✔️ An active family who enjoys outdoor activities ✔️ Someone committed to training and bonding with her ✔️ Experience with large dogs (or a willingness to learn) Elsa is young and still learning, but she is full of potential. With love, patience, and the right training, she will grow into a loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic, and affectionate dog to share adventures with, Elsa is waiting for you!
