We knew the shelter was full and had many huskies so we took her in. We didn't want her to be killed. She's high energy and loves to play. She loves to dig and explore. She does great with other dogs. She will sit for her food.

Story
🐾 PEPPER 🐾 Pepper is a sweet, happy senior girl who loves people and enjoys being part of everyday life 💕 She has a big personality, loves to “talk,” and will always let you know when it’s time to eat — her favorite thing! 🥰 📅 Rescued January 11, 2021 Pepper and her boyfriend Stark were living on a mattress off a freeway truck stop for weeks before Christmas 2020. Multiple people tried to help them with no success. A rescue had committed but fell through, so we stepped in and brought them to safety. 🐶 ABOUT PEPPER • Estimated 10–12 years old (senior) • Friendly and loving with people • Dog-friendly and enjoys playtime • Very food motivated — she “hugs” her bowl when she eats 🥹 • Loves to “talk” and express herself • No longer bonded to Stark — ready for her own home • Doesn’t like going potty in her kennel → should transition well to house training • Smart and listens well • May try to explore at first, but settles with structure 🏡 IDEAL HOME Pepper would do best with an experienced owner, especially someone familiar with Akita-type personalities. She thrives with structure, patience, and love — and would make a loyal, entertaining companion in her golden years. 💔 She has been waiting far too long for a home of her own. 📩 Message us if you’re interested in adopting Pepper

Story
Meet Rusty, a 4-year-old Husky with a heart as big as his spirit! At just 35 pounds, he’s on the petite side for his breed, but don’t let his size fool you—he’s packed full of charm, energy, and love 💙. Rusty may have spent his early years navigating the streets alongside his sister and some neighborhood pals, but those days are behind him now. He’s embracing his fresh start with an open heart and tail wags galore, ready to be someone’s devoted and joyful companion. Rusty is pure personality—plus, plus, plus! This bright-eyed boy is friendly with other dogs and genuinely enjoys their company. He’s still a little rusty when it comes to leash walking (pun intended 🐾), but he’s giving it his all and learning to feel safe with every step. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’s going to get there—and it’ll be so worth it. He’s the kind of dog who tries hard to please, and his gentle effort is truly heart-melting. Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, Rusty is ready for his happily ever after. He’s a sweetheart who just wants to be loved and to share that love in return. If you’re looking for a loyal, soulful companion with a soft spot for belly rubs and second chances, Rusty might just be your new best friend 🐶💫. #ACTDogs #Fresno #RescueDog #WeBelieveInShelterDogs #AdoptOneSaveTwo

Story
Cinnamon is a quiet soul with a heart full of hope, slowly blooming after a rough start in life. At around 4 years old, this beautiful Husky has lived on the streets and has every reason to be cautious. But through it all, she’s remained unfailingly gentle, carrying herself with a quiet grace that’s impossible to ignore. Cinnamon may not run up to you for attention, but she watches with soft eyes, waiting for the kindness she’s learning to trust again 🐾💛. This sweet girl is ready for a family who understands that patience is love in action. Cinnamon thrives in calm, reassuring spaces where she can take her time learning the rhythm of a real home. She may retreat at first, unsure of the unfamiliar, but every tiny sign of trust—every tail wag, every quiet lean into a hand—feels like magic ✨. She doesn't demand attention, but when she offers you her affection, it means everything. Her ideal home is one where someone sees the beauty in the slow and steady 🐶💫. Cinnamon is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Like all pets, she'll need an adjustment period to get comfortable, settle into routines, and feel secure 🏡❤️. If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances and the power of gentle love, Cinnamon just might be the one waiting for you.

Story
🐾 Meet CJ (Calamity Jane) — Our Beautiful Redhead in Rehabilitation 🐾 CJ is currently in rehabilitation and learning to trust the world again 💔➡️💗 She is a 6-year-old mixed breed, about 40 pounds, with a stunning red coat and a playful spirit just waiting to fully shine. On February 23, 2023, we rescued CJ after she had been dumped in the middle of nowhere for at least 6 days with no food or water. Despite everything she went through, she is still here — and slowly choosing trust again 🙏 🩷 CJ’s Progress: • She is learning to trust us more and more every day • Other dogs really help bring her out of her shell 🐶 • She LOVES to play once she feels safe She still has a long road ahead, but the progress she’s made already is incredible 💗 🏡 What CJ Needs: • A patient foster (or experienced adopter) to continue her rehabilitation • A calm, understanding environment • Another friendly dog would be a HUGE benefit for her confidence CJ is not a “ready-made” dog — she is a work in progress. But for the right person, she will be something truly special 🐾 She didn’t deserve what happened to her, but she deserves everything good that comes next 💗 🙏 Please consider fostering, adopting, or sharing CJ’s story to help her continue her journey
