Dearest Gentle Reader, The ton is quietly enchanted by Captain Snuggleton, a gentleman of remarkable tenderness recently rescued from the distant lands of Texas. Though he may approach new acquaintances with the cautious diplomacy of one accustomed to careful observation, those fortunate enough to earn his trust are rewarded with a devotion most sincere. This gentle captain delights in calm companionship, seeking the warmth of a kind hand and the comfort of long, unhurried snuggles. Once he has decided upon his chosen people, he proves himself a steadfast and affectionate companion, ever ready to share in the quiet joys of home life. For those in search of a loyal and loving confidant, Captain Snuggleton offers his heart without reservation. Admirers most moved by his charms are encouraged to submit their applications to adopt at arfhamptons.org before another fortunate household claims his devotion. Yours truly, Lady Whistledown 🖋️

Story
Our lovely Nessie is an outgoing Beauty who loves everyone! She came to our Connecticut rescue recently after she was found as a stray in North Carolina. When her Owner did not claim her, Nessie made the trip North to start a new life. Nessie appears to be a stunning mix of Doberman and Husky, with black and white coloring, a fluffy plume tail and soulful brown eyes. She is a medium sized dog, at a healthy weight of 50 pounds. Her coat is short and smooth, and she is easy to groom. Nessie can be shy at first meeting, but warms quickly and becomes extremely affectionate. She relishes human touch, and willingly leans into her person for ear scratches. Nessie is not as frantically high energy as some Huskies that we have known, but as a one year old youngster, she does need a fair amount of exercise and mental stimulation. Nessie is a smart girl and has already passed many of the Canine Good Citizenship tests. She is a breeze to train, and loves the work, so motivated adopters could easily take her the rest of the way to CGC certification. Obedience work will go a long way to keep her challenged, calm and balanced. Nessie would thrive in an active adult household, or in a family with older kids keen to the needs of a rescue dog. Nessie would like to be in the forefront of the family, and invited to participate in family activities. She would be the ideal running or hiking companion. She is an excellent traveler and would love to join her folks on camping or road trips. She is not a dog to be relegated to the backyard, where boredom and frustration can set in, and create unpleasant consequences. Nessie could easily join a multi-dog home. She enjoys play and is pretty sociable. We have not tested her with cats. She has good house manners and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home. She is in optimal health, and has been recently spayed, and has received routine vaccinations, deworming and health screenings. If you are interested in Nessie, please write to Denise at Angelsfrgod@aol.com or text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Story
Seasoned Husky lovers will swoon over Zuko’s good looks. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we've had in some time. He has the full, thick and lush Husky double coat, and his coloring is black, white and gray. He has big blue eyes that seem to twinkle with impending impish mischief.  Zuko arrived at our Connecticut Rescue after he spent some time at the New York City Shelter. Animal Control Officers reported that Zuko had been confiscated when his owner was arrested. He was understandably upset when he entered the city shelter, and he was quickly earmarked for euthanasia.  Shelter contacts advocated tirelessly for Zuko, and as soon as he appeared on our radar, he was transferred to our Connecticut Rescue. Zuko has really come into his own here and has become one of our favorites.  Five years old, Zuko is formidable adult Siberian Husky, who has impressed everyone with his good looks and grand presence. We love our Northern Breeds, and Zuko is one of a kind Anyone interested in sharing their home with a Husky must bring their A game to the table. Zuko needs a savvy handler to maintain his equilibrium. Exercise and discipline, as well as ongoing obedience training should be part of his life, as well as lots of action and human contact. . He is a typical Husky, part jokester and part athlete. Zuko is not the kind of dog who will be happy relegated to the back yard. He loves attention and adventure. We would describe Zuko as having a bold temperament. He has a vibrant personality that would compliment the vibe of a calm, but assertive individual, who can take command of the leash and provide the leadership and focused obedience training that will give him purpose and pleasure in life. Zuko has adapted well to foster care and he would do well in the adult home of an experienced Northern Breed enthusiast, who has the time to make him a priority, and has the active lifestyle to keep him engaged.  Zuko has good house manners, and he is housetrained and crate trained, although adopters should expect some accidents as he transitions to a new life. He is in great health, and has been neutered, and fully treated for Heartworm. He has received routine vaccinations and health screenings, If you are interested in Zuko, please call/text Denise at 860-908-9738. Email: Angelsfrgod@aol.com.
