Story
**Husky experience or similar breed experience required**Name: Logan Breed: Siberian Husky Age: 1-2 years old Kids: 12+Dogs: selective Cats: NoLogan came to MHS from a partnering animal control that asked us to help out. This handsome guy is estimated to be between 1-2 years young and is longing for his forever home.Logan loves his car rides and his walks! He’s also quite the fan of tennis balls! When not out on an adventure, Logan can be found lounging in the shade in our expen. This guy has a very easy going personality and is a fan of all humans! Logan would prefer a home with a fenced in yard and someone with a very active lifestyle that can get him out for lots of walks/runs to explore the world. Logan is too excited to play with cats, so a cat free home would be best.Logan is neutered, microchipped, and utd on his vaccinations. If you are interested in Logan please fill out an application today!https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=meridenhumanesociety&method=online_form_html&formid=27

Story
Cyrus was a foster failure we took him in to our home around 10 weeks old. He bonded with our dogs and with me personally that is why we chose to keep him. He is 8 years old the most loving affectionate dog. Not aggressive whatsoever with our other dogs and does very well with children just seems to be competing for affection since we don’t have the extra time to really do things with him. We are looking for a home that can be around and give him more than what we can since we have added children to our family and don’t have that time like we used to. It saddens me to even have to do this but he deserves to be with people who have more time for him💙

Story
Freya This pretty lady is a sweet soul. She loves her people. She will definitely show you lots of love and attention. She loves kids and would make a great play partner. She is very dog and cat friendly. Although if your cat is runner or spooked easily, she will chase for a fun activity. Freya can jump high, so she requires a yard with a minimum of a 6 ft fence. She would do well with lots of room to roam and play. This chick is up for any adventure, as long as she gets to spend time with her people, her heart will be happy. She will be fully vetted, microchipped and is available to you via ground transport.

Story
Hi my name is Dustin. I am an 18 month old shepherd mix. I am currently located in Southington Ct. I weigh approximately 50 pounds. My foster mom says it looks like I have Corgi in me. I have short legs and but a long tail. I love car rides, kids and the occasional cat. I never bark. I would consider myself very, very easy-going and laid-back. My favorite thing to do is to lay on the couch and chew on my toys and lay on the floor and have my belly rubbed. I would definitely make a great addition to a family looking for a low maintenance puppy. I am so good on a leash my foster mom walks me with one finger. I never pull. If you think that I would be a good fit for your family have your people call my people at 860-919-1391. I’m looking forward to meeting you. Story
Urgent Adoption Needed!    Due to unexpected and severe health challenges faced by our dedicated rescue partner - Fagin’s Haven Rescue - including a month-long hospitalization and ongoing medical treatments, we are urgently seeking a forever home for Judy. We hope you'll consider opening your heart and home during the rescue's time of need. Adopting now can make a world of difference to both the dogs and our rescue partner. Be a hero in Judy's story.   Judy   Female, Siberian Husky, Estimated Date of Birth 5/12/2019 (4 years), weight 64lbs   Affectionate by nature, Judy is all about love: soaking it up and dishing it out in equal measure. When someone showers her with affection, her happy meter wags enthusiastically. But what truly makes her heart skip a beat is the prospect of having a family of her own.    Judy is very playful.  She loves tug of war, chasing after balls and sniffing out those elusive squirrels. And yet, there's a softer side to this Judy too. She finds contentment lying beneath the shade of a tree, savoring the beauty of the day. And when you're busy at work, Judy is more than happy to be your trusted companion, nestled under the desk, keeping you company.   Above all else, Judy's heart yearns to be with her people. Love and companionship is the heartbeat of her existence. With an eagerness to learn, Judy strives to please her family. Treats, praise, and attention encourage her on to be the very best furry friend she can be. Her deepest wish is to find a real family, one that will embrace her with open arms and shower her with the love she so fervently dreams of.   No Dogs No Cats House trained Leash trained Crate trained     * A generous donor sponsored the adoption fee which helps cover vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, deworming and microchipping. Judy can be transported to  Hagerstown, MD;  Milford PA; Plantsville CT; and Warwick RI   for a fee of $160.   * The application is the first step in all inquiries and adoptions      Canine Compassion Fund - Online Adoption Application www.caninecompassionfund.org/Forms/OnlineAdoptionApplication   * Additional information is available on our site caninecompassionfund.org May 15, 2024, 11:49 am
