Story
Meet Adalynn Eloise… but her friends call her Addie! Have you ever met a dog whose smile could completely brighten your day? That’s Addie. At around 2 years old and a perfectly compact 55 pounds, we think this gorgeous girl is a Husky/Pit Bull mix. She’s the perfect adventure size—not too big, not too small—and somehow manages to be both athletic and an expert cuddle bug. Addie has the sweetest little fox-like face, a beautiful caramel-colored coat with a bright white blaze down her nose, giant “satellite” ears that always seem to be tuned into the next exciting thing, and the happiest brown eyes you’ve ever seen. Seriously… her grin is absolutely contagious. She’s one of those dogs who always looks thrilled to see you because she truly is. If happiness had four legs, it would probably look a lot like Addie. Watch Addie’s video here, then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/R1YN3kH5FLA?si=R5isP4-X9i84xgcm Her greatest love in life? Water. Pools, lakes, sprinklers, puddles, the beach… if there’s water nearby, Addie has already claimed it. She doesn’t just splash around—this girl swims laps! Her foster laughs because trying to convince Addie it’s time to get out of the pool is nearly impossible. She would happily paddle around all afternoon if you let her. Swimming isn’t just something she enjoys—it’s her happy place. She recently experienced her very first beach trip, and it couldn’t have gone any better. She soaked in every new smell, ran through the waves with the biggest smile on her face, and explored every inch of the shoreline like she’d been waiting her whole life for that adventure. And honestly? That’s Addie in a nutshell. She’s always ready for whatever fun comes next. She hops right into the car, rides beautifully, and is happiest when she’s tagging along with her favorite people. Weekend hikes, brewery patios, road trips, neighborhood walks, trips to the park—you name it, Addie is already waiting by the door with her ears perked up and tail wagging. When she’s home, she’s a professional toy enthusiast. Stuffies? Yes. Chew toys? Absolutely. Balls? Of course. Tug toys? Her favorite! She’ll happily entertain herself by tossing toys into the air, zooming from couch to couch, and making up her own silly games. And if you’re willing to grab the other end of a tug toy? Congratulations—you’ve just become her favorite person. Even better, Addie is wonderful about sharing. She happily shares her toys, her treats, and even her humans with her doggy friends. Speaking of friends… Addie absolutely adores other dogs. She’s playful, social, and always ready for another round of zoomies. She’d love a canine sibling who’s just as playful as she is because, if it were up to Addie, playtime would never end! Since she’s a strong, enthusiastic player who can get a little rowdy when she’s having the time of her life, we recommend dog friends who are 25 pounds or larger and who enjoy her energetic play style. After all the fun, Addie settles beautifully inside the house. She’s wonderfully balanced—happy to run, play, explore, and then curl up beside you for a relaxing evening. And when cuddle time starts, she doesn’t believe in personal space. She’ll happily climb right into your lap (yes, all 55 pounds of her!), lean against you, cover your face in kisses, and remind you just how much she loves you. She has never met a stranger and greets everyone like they’re an old friend. Her behavior team describes her as confident, affectionate, and easygoing around people. She handles new environments well, rides nicely in the car, shares resources beautifully, and recovers quickly from new experiences. She truly has the kind of personality that makes her an incredible companion for an active young couple or family who wants a dog to include in everyday adventures. Because Addie can become very focused on smaller animals, we’re recommending a home without cats and with dogs 25 pounds or larger if she’ll have canine siblings. She has not yet been tested with children, so at this time we’d recommend an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy kids. She would also thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she has plenty of room to zoom around, play with her toys, practice her famous swimming skills, and occasionally let out a few of those adorable Husky “opinions.” Addie is the kind of dog who fills every room with joy. Whether she’s swimming laps, tossing toys into the air, making everyone laugh with those giant ears, or curling up beside you after a day full of adventures, she lives life with her whole heart—and she’s looking for someone to share it with. If you’re searching for a best friend who will make every ordinary day feel a little more exciting, a little more adventurous, and a whole lot happier, Adalynn Eloise is waiting to meet you. We have a feeling you’ll fall in love with that smile the moment you see it… just like we did. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
