Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup! Apply petpath.org

Story
Meet Blizzard! He is a 7-year-old Husky boy who is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. ❤️ This sweet guy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and 100% housetrained. He has lived with children and cats and has done wonderfully with both. He also does well around other dogs. He is a friendly and affectionate dog who enjoys being around his people and is happy to be part of the family. His current family loves him very much, but their child has autism and is very sensitive to the constant licking and the amount of hair that comes with a long-haired Husky, so they have made the difficult decision to find him a home that is a better fit for everyone. Like many Huskies, he has a beautiful long coat, which also means regular brushing and plenty of shedding—so his future family should be prepared for the fluff that comes with such a gorgeous dog! He would do best with a family who understands the Husky breed, enjoys having a loyal companion, and doesn’t mind a little extra hair around the house. If you’re looking for a sweet, well-mannered, house-trained companion, he could be the perfect addition to your family. 📩 Please reach out if you’re interested in giving this wonderful boy the loving home he deserves. 🐾 He is currently being fostered in Mississippi but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road!

Story
Stop scrolling for a second… because if you’re a Husky lover (or just appreciate a really good, easy dog), Pretty Pearl is about to check a lot of your boxes. She’s absolutely stunning with that snowy white coat and striking eyes, but what really sells her is how nice she is to live with. Calm, well-mannered, affectionate without being over-the-top, and just an overall easygoing girl who fits into your day instead of turning it upside down. Pretty Pearl is the kind of dog who gives you the best of both worlds. She’s happy to head out for a walk or adventure, but just as content relaxing at home and hanging out by your side. She’s dog friendly, enjoys being around other dogs without needing constant play, rides great in the car, and already has a solid foundation with things like leash walking, crate training, and potty training. Basically… she’s the type of dog that makes you feel like you hit the jackpot. Watch her video and you’ll be head over heels for her: https://youtu.be/ggJjd0UQODc?si=pV0-EH_8RdekaCNc Pretty Pearl is believed to be a Husky mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 44 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We do know that she is absolutely GORGEOUS! Just look at her, she is captivating. Pearl can be a little shy at first when meeting new people but trust us when we say it does not take long for her to turn into your little shadow and lover girl. One of the ways to her heart is through treats, ear scratches, and really just quality time. Little by little, she's inching her way closer to you, politely asking for gentle pets, and next thing you know she’s nuzzling her head into you for all the love. She is the type of gal that thrives on connections with her people and once she loves and trusts you, this beauty will do anything for you. Give her a little patience in the beginning, and you'll find that you've gained your soul dog. Pearl is dog friendly and is currently fostered in a home with another Husky like herself and also a pittie mix and she gets along great with them. There are moments of mutual play here and there, she enjoys romping around with the other dogs in the home but for the most part she’s relaxing and enjoying their company. She approaches new dog friendships thoughtfully, and prefers a slower introduction to feel comfortable before diving into play. Once she’s settled in, that playful Husky personality comes out in the best way. Pearl plays like a classic Husky. She’s vocal, expressive, and loves to “talk” about what’s happening. If you’re familiar with the breed, you know that happy Husky chatter is part of the fun! She especially enjoys a good game of chase and running side by side with her doggy friends. She isn’t overly into rough, physical contact play and doesn’t seek out wrestling type play. Instead, she prefers interactive movement, space to zoom, and playful back-and-forth energy. Pearl would do best in a home with a dog who will give her time to warm up, open to occasional play time, and isn’t looking for a nonstop 24/7 playmate. A moderately playful, confident, easygoing male dog who also enjoys relaxing moments together would be her perfect match. She loves connection, but she also appreciates balance. A friend to run with and then unwind beside. If you don’t have other dogs, that's fine too! Pearl does not need the company of another dog to help her open up or to satisfy her energy needs. When it comes to kitties, Pearl says no thanks! She also seems to really enjoy the outdoors and would make a great adventure partner, and we're sure she would love the snow too! Pearl isn't bouncing off the walls with energy and is an easygoing girl for the most part, but she would love the mental stimulation that comes with exploring and going on an adventure. She also rides great in the car and has done well being in the car for at least an hour and a half. Hello road trips! She not only would make a great adventure buddy but she is naturally a super smart girl and already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and potty trained too. Pearl is eager to please and will do anything for a treat. Though, if you know Huskies and have experience with the breed, you know they thrive with structure, routine, and consistency. We believe Pearl would thrive with a semi-active family that has a fenced-in backyard and plenty of space for her to stretch her legs. Pearl has been around kids and is fostered in a home with multiple teenagers, the youngest being 15 and has been great with them. We have not seen her with kids younger than 15. We can certainly see how she does with younger kids upon request, just let us know! Pearl is the perfect combination of affection while also being independent. She's not overly needy with her love nor does she ever overdo it. If you're someone that works from home, she'll be a great work-from-home buddy because she's not going to be constantly begging you for attention or getting into things she shouldn't be. She's the type that will come up to you when the time is right for a little ear or nose scratch, almost as if she knew you needed a five-minute break from work. Pearl’s foster says that one of his favorite things about her is her adaptable energy. She’ll be laying right beside him at his feet while he reads a book and is the perfect foot warmer and book reading companion. We are willing to test Pretty Pearl with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
With a name like Lady, you are surely expecting a certain personality and she will not disappoint. Sweet, sensitive, playful, and smart, … this is Lady. She isn’t going to rush into the spotlight, but her presence makes you feel like she is shining on you with a special bit of love and connection. Go watch Lady on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this soft-hearted beauty. https://youtu.be/JKWzSN0rXZs Lady is currently fostered in a loving home where she has shown that she is easy company, dog-friendly and has great house manners. Her foster family includes a 60 lb male husky, and their relationship tells you so much about who she is. It took her about a week to fully open up, but once she did? She started bringing him toys, inviting him into her world in the sweetest, most thoughtful way. That same pattern shows up everywhere, and it’s part of what makes her so special. With people, Lady is affectionate, cuddly, and loving once she’s settled. In her foster home, she wants to be close, soaking up attention and comfort. In newer environments, she may take a little time to warm up, but she’s tolerant, gentle, and quietly taking everything in. Give her a little patience, and she’ll absolutely meet you there. Her foster praises Lady, sharing that she is so smart and very treat motivated which makes raining both fun and rewarding. She is both house and crate trained, sleeps well in her kennel, and is great walking on leash. She may need a little encouragement in new places or around new people, but she’s calm, responsive and eager to learn. Her daily rhythm is a nice mix of play and rest. She enjoys her walks, does well riding in the car (she’ll need a little help hopping in for now), and balances her energy beautifully. She’s playful without being overwhelming, and calm without being shut down… just a really lovely middle ground. Bonus- she has quite possibly the quietest paws we have ever *not "heard." It almost seems like a bit of magic when you can see her walking but not hear the sound of her paws or her nails on the ground. We don't have to understand it to love it. Now, let’s talk about what she needs to truly thrive, because Lady is one of those dogs where understanding her makes all the difference. She would benefit from a house with a yard and having another dog around, but not just any dog… her ideal match is a medium-energy friend who will give her space, let her warm up at her own pace, and then meet her in that sweet, playful middle once she’s ready. She’s not a “big pack energy” girl. In larger groups of dogs, she can feel overwhelmed and may choose to hang back or observe rather than engage. But one-on-one or in smaller, calmer dynamics? That’s where she shines. Lady would also do wonderfully in a home that has a steady flow of people. She’s friendly and gentle with visitors, and has won over everyone she has met. What stands out most about Lady is her softness paired with her resilience. She may take a moment to find her footing, but when she does, you get this incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving companion who feels like she chose you just as much as you chose her. Lady “The Soft-Pawed Sweetheart” is ready for a home that will give her a little time,a few good toys, a fair amount of treats, and a lot of love! In return you will have a dream walking buddy, a calm sidekick, and an entertaining friend. If Lady sounds like your girl, apply today! Questions?
