Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
Get ready to meet a wonderful gal who is visually appealing and becomes more impressive the more you get to know her. She is the one and only Emma. Emma is a five-year-old Siberian husky weighing a medium weight of 45 pounds. She comes to rescue when she was found in a home living with other huskies. Those days are behind her, and she is now focused on finding a loving family to call her own. Emma not only likes to be seen but she also likes to be heard with the typical and plentiful husky howl. This girl does not blend into the scenery because she is the scenery. She presents as a shy girl, and she will need time and gentle persuasion for her to feel confident in coming out of her shell. She is good with other dogs and will require older children over 12 years of age in her forever family if there are resident children in forever home. Her relationship with a cat is unknown at this time. She is a potential escape artist and will inspect every inch of the house and yard for a way to get out. Because of this, it is recommended that there be a 5-foot fence or higher for her backyard excursions or in the case of no fence, she would need to consistently be on a leash. Emma is a determined girl and her hard work paid off because she is already crate and leash trained. It is her moment to shine when she is out and about with her walks and not surprisingly, she loves to go on walks and explore the terrain. Currently she is still working on her house-training skills but will put in the same effort she did with her other training. Now moving forward, Emma is a girl with a plan. Her plan is to have the family that will love her unconditionally and be the pampered pooch she has dreamed about. If you ask her all roads lead to Emma and we would say that is a fact. Get a head start to bring Emma into your home by filling out an application today. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Emma is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.August 19, 2026, 6:39 am

Story
Some dogs have one ear up and one ear down. Nala has one ear permanently tuned into the fun and the other tuned into the cuddle schedule. Meet Nala! At about two years old, we think Nala is a Lab/Husky mix (our best guess!), and she is every bit as adorable as she is sweet. She has the happiest little face, one delightfully floppy ear, one ear that stands straight up like a tiny satellite dish, and the most expressive puppy-dog eyes. Her warm honey-colored coat is accented by a crisp white blaze down her nose, little white socks, and the cutest smile that seems to say, "What are we doing next? Can I come too?" It's impossible not to smile back at her. Watch Nala's video here! https://youtu.be/AYHer4nzC2A?si=NCS9rOdbpcejth0a Nala is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. She has such a gentle, loving soul and a soft, easygoing personality that makes everyone around her feel instantly comfortable. She's happiest simply being with her people, whether that's joining you for a walk, riding shotgun in the car, or curling up nearby after a fun day together. She's growing up in a loving foster home with other dog friends, and she's doing wonderfully. Nala loves having canine companions and has beautiful manners with other dogs. She enjoys a good game of chase, playing with her toys, and hanging out with her foster siblings, but she's just as happy relaxing once the fun is over. Speaking of toys... Nala is a big fan! Chew toys are her favorite, and she loves carrying them around while happily entertaining herself. She's playful without being over-the-top, making her the perfect mix of fun and relaxed. Nala has also met children and has been incredibly sweet with them. One of her favorite memories was meeting a little girl who made her a trail of Goldfish crackers. Nala thought that was the greatest idea anyone had ever come up with and happily followed along, earning plenty of pets and giggles along the way. She has such a gentle heart and loves sharing life with her people, big and small. She also impressed us with a kitty friend! Nala was cautious but curious, giving the cat plenty of space and showing respectful, calm behavior. We'd recommend slow introductions in a new home, but she showed all the signs of being a thoughtful little roommate. Nala is already potty trained with a doggy door, enjoys daily walks, rides beautifully in the car, and is working hard on polishing her leash skills. She loves exploring the world one sniff at a time and is always happy to join you for whatever adventure is next. One thing to know about Nala is that she likes to take a moment to get to know new people before diving into the friendship. She isn't fearful—she simply likes a proper introduction. Give her a few minutes, a kind voice, and maybe a couple of gentle pets, and you'll quickly discover the affectionate, goofy, loyal girl hiding behind those sweet eyes. Whether you live in a house , apartment, or townhome, Nala is the kind of companion who simply wants to share life with her people. She's playful, gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully adaptable. If you're looking for a best friend with the cutest mismatched ears, a heart full of love, and a personality that's equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle bug, Nala is ready to become your new favorite hello. She may have one ear up and one ear down, but her heart is 100% all in. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
