Story
4 year old Siberian Husky, originally rescued in Kansas and Iowa. Adopted by our son's girlfriend, and spent 1 1/2 years with them. They have since gone separate ways and we now have the dog and looking for a good home. We have 2 other rescued dogs and they have gotten a long wonderfully over the month he has been with them. He is sweet and loves attention. Enjoys his walks and is good on lead. He is strong and getting better with squirrels and rabbits. Is intelligent and doing better with commands. Is house broke and has not had accidents in the past 2 years that he has been known to us. He has gone to dog parks and has not gotten into any fights and gets along with other dogs. Looking for a loving home where he can get walks and exercise. Loves being part of the family. He is a wonderful companion.

Story
Jonah is a one year old (born 2/22/23) male red and white Siberian husky. (Wooly) Not neutered. Up to date on all puppy shots and has his Rabies shots. Will need his annual vaccines within the next 3 months. Hes super sweet and loves attention, but a bit of a scaredy cat and takes a little time to warm up to new people and new locations. Hes only vocal when hes lonely other than that he doesnt do much barking or howling. Hes house broken and knows basic commands, sit and shake. Lay down is a work in progress. Weve recently started working with leash training so that is also a work in progress. He needs someone to give him the time and attention he needs. He needs a fenced in yard as huskies are known to escape and wander....preferably with another dog so he doesnt get lonely or has a human that works remotely or an active retiree so hes got company.

Story
Energetic, affectionate, and always looking to please, Shanti is an amazing pup with a beautiful and soft black coat. She is the perfect size, at about 45 pounds, and loyal to those she loves. She is very intelligent, and while she acts silly and goofy, would do wonders in agility training, or even learning jump techniques. She is very quick and loves to do zoomies around our yards, though chasing the ball doesn't seem to be her forte. She does love treats which helps with training, but can be a bit picky with her meals. She has a Woof Pack leader who takes her out to our events, car rides, and adventures, to work on socializing and basic obedience. Shanti has had one canine companion since her arrival at Satchel's, and we are currently looking to find more, she is just very selective with whom she wants to be buddies, and would most likely prefer to be the only canine companion in the home. She loves to be loved on, always rolling over and wanting belly rubs, or leaning her head against you for face and ear scratches, or just wanting to cuddle. Shanti does love people, but likes to take her time to get to know them, and would do best in an adult-only home. Her perfect forever home would be loving, patient, and full of adventures. If you are looking to find a friend to brighten your day, love you fiercely, and give meaning to your days, come visit this wonderful girl, she will greet you with a smile and leave your heart warm and fuzzy. Story
WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA Kohana is a handsome, senior boy at 10 years old. He came in as an owner surrender due to the owner becoming disabled and had to move in with her daughter who had other dogs that didn't get along with him. Kohana is a big boy at around 100 lbs. and sweet with adults. Particularly with females, he loves to sit on you. Unfortunately, he does not like kids and will bark at them. He'll give you a nudge with his head and paw at you when he wants attention. Out of character for most Huskies, if someone comes to the door or approaches the car while he is in it he will get excited and bark. He walks well on a leash and can walk with multiple dogs. He gets along with other dogs and will engage in playing with them. He does well in a car and likes to go for rides. This boy has storm anxiety as many dogs do. He loves to be brushed and get belly rubs. He's very food driven, and food needs to be kept off counters and trashcans need to be stored in pantries or inside a cabinet. Of note, he’s used to being with other dogs but he can be possessive of his humans and would do very well as the only dog, too. Kohana is healthy, Heartworm negative, housetrained, up to date on his shots and neutered. This is a sweet, lovable older boy who deserves a forever home for his remaining years. Story
Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Jewel is very sweet and loves affection but also is shy and submissive. When playing with other dogs, she is awesome but if she gets hurt, she will them know! She seems like she could fit into most packs! She is very quiet around the house! Doesn’t make a mess.Jewel LOVES being outside! She doesn’t want to come in usually and loves to watch squirrels/fish/etc. She is a very slow eater so would need to eat in a safe space alone or with other dogs who don’t try to gobble up her food. She seems to dislike her food mixed with anything but will eat it all when compartmentalized 🤷🏼‍♀️😅. Jewel likes animal like toys. She is an escape artist so a fenced yard is a must and needs supervision outside. Also the front door needs to be husky-escape proof. She dislikes being separated away from people but chills on her own no problem as long as not crated or put in a room. She is SUPER EASY on the leash! A total dream to walk on a leash. Great in the car too!!! A petite Husky at only 35 pounds. Located in Pinellas County, Florida.
