Story
Meet Jiska Jiska is 4 years old, the perfect age. She’s well past the puppy stage but still has plenty of life ahead of her. She has wonderful house manners, no bad habits, and is an incredibly easy dog to live with. She has a calm, low energy personality with an excellent off switch. Whether you’re working from home, relaxing on the couch, or winding down after a long day, Jiska is happiest simply being near her people. She loves to lay at your feet or curl up on the couch or bed if she’s invited. Jiska is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves attention, enjoys being brushed, and will sit and take treats gently. She’s dog neutral and has an easygoing, loving personality that makes her a wonderful companion. In the home, she’s everything you could ask for. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and naturally clean and quiet. She would benefit having a crate available as her own den and will often choose to settle there on her own with the door left open. Because Jiska spent much of her life living outdoors with limited exposure to everyday household life, she’s still building confidence with certain experiences. She can occasionally be a little skittish around unfamiliar noises or objects, so she’d do best in a calmer home where she can settle into a routine. She continues to gain confidence everyday and lets her sweet personality shine. Jiska enjoys going for walks and has excellent leash manners, happily walking right by your side. Like many huskies, she has a bit of prey drive and may be tempted to chase squirrels or other small critters, but she’s otherwise polite and easy to handle on leash. She also rides exceptionally well in the car and is happy to accompany you wherever life takes you. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who enjoys being close to her people, Jiska is ready to find the family she’s been waiting for. The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and other needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Parrish, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home.

Story
Rey was born from a husky not meant to have had puppies. She’s grown up with a sibling and both of her parents but has recently began to become competitive with her mother. Despite being very calm and cuddly she does feel envious of other female dogs. Rey is quiet and elegant.

Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! 💕 Hi, I’m Eve 🐾💕 I’m a 4-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix with a playful spirit, an athletic side, and a whole lot of love to give! I’m energetic, smart, sweet, loyal, and happiest when I’m right beside my person. If you’re going somewhere, I’m ready to go too—as long as I’m with you, I’m happy! 🥰 I’m crate trained, potty trained, house trained, and leash trained. I don’t know many formal commands yet, but I’m a very smart girl and already know “up” and “hugs.” I’m eager to learn more and would love a family who will keep my brain busy with continued training. I’m an athletic girl with plenty of energy and could make a fantastic running or adventure partner. But once we’re done being active, I’m more than happy to settle in for some serious cuddle time. I’m also a wonderful work-from-home companion—I’ll happily hang out beside you while you work without causing a disruption. ❤️ I’m great with big dogs and could happily be your one-and-only or live in a home with other friendly pups. I have a funny way of asking for attention by using my paw, and when I’m REALLY excited to see you, I may try to jump right into your arms for a hug! Because I don’t always realize just how strong I am, older children would likely be the better fit. I’d thrive with an active family and a securely fenced backyard where I can run, play, and get my energy out. I’m the kind of girl who wants to be included in everything and would love a family ready to make her part of their everyday life. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, adventurous girl who is always ready for a run, a cuddle, or a big hug, Eve might just be your perfect match! 💕🐾 Adoption FEE: $400 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption.
