Story
Breed: Alaskan Malamute (large breed)Age: 6 years- 6 monthsWeight: 74 lbsSex: Neutered Male Wolfie was surrendered to the rescue because his owners were required to do so. Wolfie and his sister got out one to many times and went after the neighbors chickens. Wolfie has lived with both dogs his size and smaller and done well if he can assume the dominant role with the other animals. He has done best with dogs younger than him and non-dominant females. He likes to walk and needs a strong person to do so. He is a husky so he is a “talker” as most huskies tend to be and a bit mischievous! He needs an active family and a privacy fence yard.

Story
Meet Mojito a 7-month-old husky mix. He`s part of our Mocktail group here at the shelter. His ingredients include a bubbly vivacious personality, love of people, and with a shot of goofiness. Mojito plays well not only with his siblings but with new dogs he meets. Like his namesake, summer is his favorite time of year because he loves the outdoors. Mojito would be a great companion for anyone with an adventurous spirit. If your favorite Mocktail sounds like a Mojito stop by to visit this sweet as sugary mint boy.

Story
Margarita is a 7-month-old husky mix puppy. She is part of our Mocktail group here at the shelter. Her ingredients include a sweet nature, snuggles and a mellow vibe like a Mexican sunset. Margarita is the smallest of her siblings. She walks nicely on a leash and has a lowkey playstyle. While a bit timid when initially meeting new people, it`s not long before she`s sitting at your feet waiting for ear scratches and gentle pets. If Margarita sounds like your favorite Mocktail, then stop nibbling on that sponge cake and get off the porch swing to come meet her.

Story
Meet Freya ❤️ Freya is a beautiful, approximately 3-year-old Husky mix who came into our lives unexpectedly about a year ago after she was dumped in a coworker's yard (Columbia county). Freya is an affectionate, intelligent, extremely energetic dog who loves attention, toys, treats, and being around people. She has a goofy personality and an enormous amount of energy. She has completed an intensive 8-week live-in professional training program and is very food motivated and eager to engage with people. She knows several basic commands. Our home is not the right environment for Freya to thrive. She is a very strong and high-energy dog, and despite our efforts with training, she remains difficult for our school-age children to physically manage safely. She would thrive with an experienced owner who is comfortable handling a high-energy dog, and doesn't have very small dogs or cats that could be injured by roughhousing with a large dog.
