Story
3 year old Pit/Husky Mix. 60-70 lbs.Aria is a sweet, happy girl with a remarkable pitty personailty. She takes a minute to warm up to new people, but once she knows you can be trusted, she is your shadow. You will have a best friend for life. She loves to cuddle and be near her people. She will roll over for belly rubs, or just sit between your legs and melt into you. Aria is a playful girl and loves to play with toys, chase balls and chew on chew toys. She enjoys talking long walks and playing fetch. If you're not available to throw a ball or toy for her, she'll toss it herself.Aria walks well on-leash, is crate trained and potty trained, however if she could choose, she would rather not have to spend time in her crate, she would choose to be out with her people.Aria is good with most dogs, but too interested in the cats in her foster home. She would do best in a home without cats.Adoption fee $300. Aria is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. To apply visit https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33868/   ##1661489##

Story
Rehoming our beloved Titan because our second daughter was born this summer with Cystic Fibrosis and is highly allergic. Titan is a 12-year-old soul wrapped in fur, all heart and steadiness. He’s the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home the moment he settles down at your feet. He’s calm and wonderfully low-maintenance — no howling, no chaos, just quiet companionship and the occasional tail thump when you walk into the room. He loves being near his people, joining for slow mornings, car rides, or peaceful afternoons in the yard. Don’t let his age fool you — Titan still has a spark for adventure. He loves hiking, sniffing trails, and trotting beside you through the woods. Afterwards, he’s the first to curl up for a nap in a sunny spot. Titan is fully house-trained, great with kids, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s past the puppy stage but still full of life — the perfect family dog for someone who wants devotion without the demands.

Story
YOUR ‘ONLY PET’ BEST FRIEND:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 30 lbs. Hi, I’m Shellie!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I’m sure happy to be here and thankful for a second chance at living a great life!  I’m ready to find my new family and have some fun as well as show them what a great companion I’ll be. I was adopted for a few days, but it wasn’t a good fit as I did not like the cat and I need to work on my food and toy possessiveness which I’m doing now with my trainer.  I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and do not like them so I’ll want to be your only pet. / I met a cat in a temporary home, and we learned that I should not live with cats due to my strong prey drive. (No cats were harmed in this discovery.) / There was an 11-year-old in my foster home, and I did great with them (they knew not to take things away from me), but more mature kids - aged 15+ that will follow the rules that work for me would be best, let’s meet. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My former foster described me as a loving friend who gave lots of kisses and was also a bit ‘mouthy’ like a puppy! I was delightful for the Mostly Mutts photographer as I showed how much I enjoyed cuddling and being in a lap. A very sweet and lovable friend, I’m looking forward to showering my family with love! I am a bit possessive of my food, toys and anything in my mouth and there was 1 bite related to this, so I’ve been working on it with my trainer, who has implemented controlled locations for my meals, as well as accompanying commands – so please just ask about this. My trainer also taught me the command ‘drop it’ to trade my toys and bones for a high value treat.  / Energy level: 5-7, so I’ll want to be active with my new family. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, and I know the ‘sit’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’, ‘down’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’ commands.  I also utilize proper door etiquette, accept friendly strangers without jumping, and walk nicely on a leash.  My trainer is working with me on my possessive behaviors as there was 1 bite related to this.  My trainer would be happy to talk to and work with you on this. Mostly Mutts recommends a trainer to continue my training after adoption. / I am described as pretty relaxed in my crate and I did well in my temp. home, too. / I did really well with my potty manners in my foster home with no accidents as well as the temp. home I was in for a few days. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love going for walks, playing with toys, cuddling and being in laps as well as getting my head and ears scratched and my tummy rubbed. I also like pawing at my people’s feet - lol. / I can be a little shy when first meeting new people, so I do best when given time to approach at my own pace — if rushed, I may choose to run and hide.  See personality/skills section of my profile and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a great dog looking for a great family to love that will follow the rules that have been established to help me be successful! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  October 21, 2025, 9:04 am

Story
A SUPER SMART FELLOW:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 33 lbs. Hello – I’m Shaw!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I am so happy to be soaking up all the love from the volunteers.  I’m now ready to find a wonderful home of my very own with a family to love and be loved by!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and got along well with them overall. I especially enjoy it when they chase me, though I wasn’t a fan when the bigger dogs wanted to wrestle.  If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet with my trainer.  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet.  Older children would be best, due to my guarding tendencies, and – of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I'm a super sweet and playful Husky mix with a fluffy coat and a bigger heart.   I’m a happy, smart boy who even knows how to sing you a proper Husky howling song when the mood strikes.  I’m ready for a job - something fun, something active, and something that lets me use this big brain of mine.  I am true to my Husky breed, so I’ll need a strong, confident leader who understands my breed well.  Please keep in mind that I love my food a bit too much, as I will guard it.  The Mostly Mutts trainer has helped me make good progress in this area and will be happy to help you. / My energy level is a 10, so I will need daily exercise. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I’m a smart guy and have mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’ commands.  I also know how to walk nicely on a leash, accept friendly strangers without jumping, as well as how to utilize proper door etiquette.  I’m sure to learn even more!  I guard my food, but my trainer has this behavior under control and can show you how to manage it (including the use of time-outs), so please just ask about this.  I can be sensitive to touch when new people move too quickly with me and will give a warning snap when overstimulated.  I am overall easily corrected and thrive in a scheduled environment where I can feel confident that I know what is coming next.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts and I prefer to have something partially covering it when I’m in there. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love playing fetch in the pen - I'll chase that ball all day if you let me, and don’t worry, I’m a pro at ‘drop it’, too!  I know THAT is how you keep the game going!  Belly rubs and petting?  Yes, please!  Just maybe skip the ears - I’m not a fan of those being fussed with. / I am timid of things around my neck right now.  Using a wider leash will help.  I did not want to be picked up and placed in the tub, so a walk-in shower or outside baths when it’s warm enough would be a good option for me.  I also need new people to move slowly with me.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a home where I will be a much-loved family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  November 6, 2025, 7:39 am

Story
Introducing Luke! He was brought to the shelter with ID on 10/26 because he was on a journey to find his way home and got lost. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. So he is on a quick search for a forever home that will keep him safe and sound so he doesn't have to experience a loud, overcrowded shelter ever again. Luke is only 4 years old and weighs a mere 63lbs. The volunteers describe him as a great dog that seems to get lost at times and into trouble as a husky will do because there is no job for him. He is also sweet, cute and playful. Huskies are super fun dogs, but they're also athletic and inquisitive. Luke will need a family who will keep him physically and mentally stimulated. If you have the time, energy, and patience to welcome a young husky into your heart and home please come meet Luke! Please take some time and visit with him in Run 27; his ID is 12978. He is waiting for you! Please help him find his way out of the shelter and into your heart, home and family. When choosing a forever pup, please make sure you have the space, time, energy, devotion, patience, love and lifestyle to ensure Luke has the best upbringing possible. They are lifetime commitments. Period. Luke is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. Please take some time and schedule to meet this awesome kiddo and get to know him a little better. Luke is probably what you have been looking for all this time. He is patiently waiting for his forever family to save his life. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136.
