With his striking black-and-white coat and bright, intelligent expression, he immediately catches attention — but it’s his gentle, hopeful energy that makes people linger. He walks beautifully on a leash, taking his time to explore without pulling or rushing, and he’s incredibly polite when offered treats, accepting them with soft, grateful manners. He also appears to be potty trained, which gives a great head start to settling comfortably into a home. Auggie stays relaxed and unbothered when he sees other dogs at the shelter. If you have a resident dog at home, you’re welcome to bring them for a meet-and-greet to see if they’re a good match for Auggie. There’s a steadiness to him, the kind that suggests he’ll bond deeply once he knows he’s safe and truly “home.” Auggie is ready for the person who will see past his handsome looks and notice his loyal heart — someone who will offer him the consistency, kindness, and belonging he’s been waiting for. Sammy is a stunning 5 year old Siberian husky mix that was found as a stray on 12/11. He is microchipped but his owners did not reclaim him. They did mention that he is good with children and dog friendly. He’s not the best choice for being around farm animals and is not good with cats. He’s very sweet, walks great on the leash, very polite and gentle, and sits when asked. He’s up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and will be neutered upon adoption. Introducing Luke! He was brought to the shelter with ID on 10/26 because he was on a journey to find his way home and got lost. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim him. So he is on a quick search for a forever home that will keep him safe and sound so he doesn't have to experience a loud, overcrowded shelter ever again. Luke is only 4 years old and weighs a mere 63lbs. The volunteers describe him as a great dog that seems to get lost at times and into trouble as a husky will do because there is no job for him. He is also sweet, cute and playful. Huskies are super fun dogs, but they're also athletic and inquisitive. Luke will need a family who will keep him physically and mentally stimulated. If you have the time, energy, and patience to welcome a young husky into your heart and home please come meet Luke! Please take some time and visit with him in Run 27; his ID is 12978. He is waiting for you! Please help him find his way out of the shelter and into your heart, home and family. When choosing a forever pup, please make sure you have the space, time, energy, devotion, patience, love and lifestyle to ensure Luke has the best upbringing possible. They are lifetime commitments. Midnight is an incredible husky - he’s 3 years old, super sweet and gentle. He was found as a stray on 11/17 and though he’s microchipped, no one has come to claim him. He sits when told, is very obedient, and great on the leash. It’s also noted he’s possibly house trained already, though the shelter dogs only get outside once a day, if they do, and so he may have accidents in the shelter due to this.
