Story
Zoe was on the euthanasia list, and on the day of, we were able to rescue her from the shelter until she could find a loving home. She loves attention! She is completely house-trained. She loves to run and play. We have been working on leash training with her, and she is doing so much better. She was pulling to the point she choked herself on a leash, but day by day she is improving. We utilize a Halo collar, which she is now trained to hear the sounds and not dare go past the boundary lines. She is great at catching small animals, a natural rodent hunter. I recommend a person/family who is strong enough to correct her when she pulls on a leash. She also likes to jump up on you for attention, which I am currently redirecting her. She is a sweet and loving dog who deserves a great home. She would make a perfect companion. She gets along with all the other dogs, but I think she would thrive being the only dog as well. She is create trained as well.

Story
Meet Echo! Echo is an 1 year-old “super mutt” with a small-to-medium frame and a big, lovable personality. She’s the perfect mix of energetic playmate and loyal cuddle buddy. This smart girl learns quickly, behaves beautifully in the home, and has a natural protective streak that makes her feel like your very own little guardian. Echo adores playing with other dogs, chewing on her Kongs, crunching ice cubes, and—surprisingly—baths! After a good play session, she’s more than happy to curl up next to you for snuggles. When meeting new people, Echo can be wary of sudden movements, so a gentle intro helps her feel safe. She’s also not a fan of stuffed animals, but give her a durable toy and she’s in heaven. Echo is ready for a family who will appreciate her sweet mix of energy, affection, and smarts. If you’re looking for a young dog who will love you fiercely and keep you laughing, Echo might be your perfect match! --- Adoptions are generally limited to an approximately 150-mile radius of Locust Grove, Georgia. Exceptions may be considered under certain circumstances. To apply to adopt, please complete our Preliminary Adoption Application. Submitting an application does not commit you to adopting. It allows us to determine whether the pet is a good match for your home and family. As part of the approval process, we verify the veterinary history of current and previous pets, including annual vaccinations and spay/neuter status. Please contact your veterinarian in advance and authorize them to release this information to Street Paws. Dog adoption fees range from $250 to $400. Each dog receives: Age-appropriate vaccinations Spay or neuter surgery Heartworm testing and treatment, if necessary Deworming Flea prevention A microchip registered to the adopter You must have an approved application before scheduling a meeting with a pet.
