Story
Name: Soso Age: 2 years Breed: husky mix Description: He is a loving, energetic dog who thrives on attention and companionship. He loves playing with toys, staying active, and being involved in whatever his people are doing. He knows how to sit and is eager to spend time with those he trusts. Because he has a dominant personality, he would do best as the only dog in the home where he can receive all the love and attention he deserves. He can be protective of his food and toys, so he will need an owner who understands and can appropriately manage this behavior. For this reason, a home without other pets is recommended. He would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate dog with plenty of personality and energy. We're looking for a home that can provide him with the time, attention, exercise, and structure he needs to be his happiest self. He is fixed and up to date on his shots.

Story
Meet Della, a beautiful 4 year old husky pit bull mix who is patiently waiting for her fresh start this spring. 💛 While she can be a bit shy at first, Della truly shines with a gentle, understanding approach. Once she feels comfortable, she reveals her affectionate, cuddly nature and love for outdoor adventures and belly rubs. Della would thrive with a dog-savvy adopter who can provide the guidance, patience, and active lifestyle she needs to continue building confidence. She is best suited for an adult-only home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to fully relax and form a strong bond with her person. Della’s story is especially meaningful to our shelter. She was deeply loved by longtime volunteer Brian T. Parkinson, who dedicated years to caring for our dogs. As shared in his obituary, “In keeping with his compassionate spirit, Brian’s final wish was to see Della, his favorite shelter dog, find a loving home.” Since his passing in May 2025, Della continues to wait for that special someone. This spring, we hope to honor Brian’s memory by helping Della find the loving home he wished for her. We invite you to visit, learn more about Della, and consider opening your heart and home to this deserving girl. 🐾

Story
Life would be a little sweeter with Cookie by your side. 💖 Cookie is a beautiful 4-year-old Husky mix with soulful eyes and a gentle heart. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but just like the best cookies, she's worth the wait. A few tasty treats (her favorite!) and a little patience are the perfect recipe for earning her trust. She is incredibly food motivated, making her a great candidate for positive reinforcement training and bonding with her future family. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine. Cookie is currently heartworm positive. The good news is that heartworm disease is treatable, and we already have a treatment plan in place that we'll go over with her adopter. During treatment, she'll need to keep her activity calm and follow the plan closely, but with proper care, many dogs make a full recovery and go on to live happy, healthy lives. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's as sweet as her name, Cookie is ready to become your girl! Come meet her, you just might find she's the missing ingredient in your family. ❤️🍪 Can't adopt? Please share!

Story
Fish was surrendered to us in may of this year. He was surrendered for being too playful with the older doing in the home. Fish has been going out with many volunteers and they all adore him. He is very playful, but still has a calm energy about him. He is roughly a year old and with some training and re-direction, he is bound to be your best friend!
