Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 6:20 pm

Story
I got him when he was 6 weeks old. He has always been able to come and go in and out of my house. He is allergic to chicken. He has a lot of energy. He does good with other animals but plays a little rough. He likes to jump and lick but will eventually stop. He needs somewhere with a yard.

Story
Sky’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but her heart is nothing short of extraordinary. She came to us severely underweight, riddled with parasites, and heartworm positive, yet through it all, she has remained the sweetest dog in the universe. Sky has made incredible progress, gaining weight beautifully and doing amazingly well with her heartworm treatment. We are so proud of how far she’s come.Sky is an easy-going, gentle girl who does well with other animals and truly just wants to enjoy life. She is very, very food motivated, so adopters should be prepared to keep food items out of reach and clean up any tempting scraps. Sky will absolutely help herself if given the chance!Sky will need to remain on heartworm prevention for life, so a veterinary reference is required prior to adoption to ensure she continues to thrive. Our dog adoption fee is $150 and includes her spay, up-to-date vaccinations and preventatives, and her microchip. You can apply at agcshelter.org/adopt-1 or stop in to meet Sky and our other adoptables Tuesday–Saturday from 1pm–4pm.
