Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sonic!   Just like his name suggests, Sonic is always ready for his next adventure! This handsome 1 to 2-year-old neutered Husky mix turns heads everywhere he goes with his striking mismatched eyes - one blue and one brown, and his playful, energetic personality. Sonic is looking for an active home that understands the unique needs of northern breeds. He's smart, athletic, and full of enthusiasm, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys hiking, running, exploring, or simply keeping up with an energetic best friend. Because Huskies are known for their intelligence, independence, and drive, Sonic will do best with adopters who have previous breed experience and are committed to providing plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a big personality, stunning looks, and endless potential, Sonic might just be your perfect match. Come meet this blue-eyed (and brown-eyed!) boy, you'll quickly see why everyone falls in love with him. Sonic’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccines/heartworm testing and monthly preventatives. Also included in the adoption is a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. If you would like to meet Sonic, please submit an application through our website Adopthope.org. Sonic is seeking a home as an indoor companion with no cats. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit. We require adopters to have a history of keeping indoor pets only, who were alerted and kept current on annual vaccines and exams. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 18, 2026, 9:25 pm

Story
Meet Blu! If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with striking blue eyes and an even bigger heart, Blu might just be your perfect match! Blu is a 4-year-old, 70-pound mystery mix. While we don't know exactly what breeds make up his DNA, we suspect there's some Husky in the mix thanks to those gorgeous ice-blue eyes. Whatever his breed combination is, one thing is certain...he's a very good boy. Blu came to Fur Fun Rescue after he and another small dog were removed from their home by law enforcement. Despite the upheaval in his life, Blu has remained a happy, friendly dog who is ready to leave the past behind and embrace a brighter future. Blu loves to play and is happy to make friends with any dog that's interested in a game. Whether it's a romp around the yard or a game of chase, he's always ready for some fun. He's also a gentleman when it's time to head out on an adventure. Blu walks nicely on a leash, rides quietly in the car, and is both house trained and kennel trained, making him an easy companion to have around the house. Because of his size and playful nature, Blu is looking for a home with a physically fenced yard where he can safely stretch his legs, run, and burn off some energy. If you're looking for a handsome, well-mannered best friend who is ready for his second chance, Blu is waiting to meet you. Blu has already proven that difficult circumstances haven't changed his loving spirit. Now all he needs is a family to show him that his best days are still ahead. Blu is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Apply to meet Blu at www.furfunrescue.org If you have questions, you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must be within a two-hour drive of Cedar Rapids, IA. Blu is looking for an indoor home. Adoption fee $300.

Story
Jethro is a fun-loving, goofy boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This happy pup is always ready for the next adventure, whether that means a game of fetch, carrying his favorite toy around proudly, or bouncing around with excitement to greet his people. He’s playful, affectionate, social, and full of life, making him the kind of dog who brings energy and laughter wherever he goes. Jethro absolutely loves being around people and thrives on companionship. He’s confident, friendly, and gentle, with a cuddly side that enjoys curling up close after playtime is over. He gets along well with other dogs, has done well with kids ages 7 and older, and would likely fit into many different types of active homes. He also keeps his kennel clean and walks nicely on a leash. This energetic boy enjoys stuffies, squeaky toys, tug games, and just about anything that keeps him engaged and having fun. Like many excited young dogs, Jethro can sometimes forget his manners or get a little mouthy when he’s overly excited, but it comes from enthusiasm and playfulness rather than anything negative. With continued structure, exercise, and positive guidance, he’ll continue growing into an amazing companion. With his long legs, unique coat, and constant big tail wags, Jethro is impossible not to adore. He would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful spirit while also giving him plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for a sweet, adventurous best friend who can make you laugh one minute and cuddle up beside you the next, Jethro may be the perfect fit.

Story
We got him as a rescue and he had clearly been through a lot. When we first got him he didn't know how to play with toys and was super nervous, he has since calmed a lot and is very playful. He still isn't big on being cuddled or having his space invaded unless he's in the mood, though. He loves other dogs, but after being attacked at a dog park last year he is very can be nervous around certain dogs and could use someone that is willing to work with him through his insecurity. He does great on a leash and doesn't pull, he could still use some extra training in this area but he's mostly fantastic on walks. He is used to being in a crate when left at home. He'll also let you know if he needs anything with that typical husky howl. He doesn't mind being around kids, but like i mentioned he can be very touchy about his space so he needs some place to be able to get away when he wants to.
