Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sonic!   Just like his name suggests, Sonic is always ready for his next adventure! This handsome 1 to 2-year-old neutered Husky mix turns heads everywhere he goes with his striking mismatched eyes - one blue and one brown, and his playful, energetic personality. Sonic is looking for an active home that understands the unique needs of northern breeds. He's smart, athletic, and full of enthusiasm, making him a great companion for someone who enjoys hiking, running, exploring, or simply keeping up with an energetic best friend. Because Huskies are known for their intelligence, independence, and drive, Sonic will do best with adopters who have previous breed experience and are committed to providing plenty of physical exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a big personality, stunning looks, and endless potential, Sonic might just be your perfect match. Come meet this blue-eyed (and brown-eyed!) boy, you'll quickly see why everyone falls in love with him. Sonic’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccines/heartworm testing and monthly preventatives. Also included in the adoption is a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. If you would like to meet Sonic, please submit an application through our website Adopthope.org. Sonic is seeking a home as an indoor companion with no cats. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit. We require adopters to have a history of keeping indoor pets only, who were alerted and kept current on annual vaccines and exams. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2026, 8:09 pm

Story
Stitch's story could have been very different, but he has chosen to greet the world with happiness instead of hardship. After his owner was jailed, Stitch was left outside alone for several days before being brought to safety. He had sores and open wounds from a harness that had become far too tight and from spending far too much time without the care, attention, and companionship every dog deserves. Despite everything he endured, Stitch has remained one of the sweetest, happiest dogs you'll ever meet. This goofy, affectionate boy absolutely loves people and makes up for lost time by soaking up every bit of attention he can get. Whether he's wagging his tail, showing off his playful side with a favorite stuffy, or happily walking by your side, Stitch's joyful personality shines through. He's confident, curious, and always ready for his next adventure, but he never forgets to stop for a few extra pets along the way. Stitch already knows "sit," walks nicely on a leash, takes treats gently, is crate trained, and keeps his kennel clean. He has done well with children of all ages and would make an excellent companion for a first-time dog owner. He enjoys staying active and would love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and continue building confidence through positive experiences. Stitch is not a fan of cats, so he is looking for a feline-free home. More than anything, Stitch deserves a family that will give him what he's always wanted: love, security, and the chance to truly be part of a family. His past does not define him. Instead, it highlights his incredible resilience and forgiving nature. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a playful spirit, a goofy personality, and an endless appreciation for the people who love him, Stitch is ready to start his next chapter with you.

Story
Meet Marley! Some dogs bounce into your life. Marley simply settles into your heart. At 12½ years young, Marley has perfected the art of being the kind of companion everyone hopes to find. She's affectionate without being demanding, happy to curl up beside you for a nap, and always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a gentle smile. Don't let her age fool you, Marley still has plenty of life left! She easily climbs stairs, enjoys exploring the yard, and every now and then she'll surprise you with a playful game of "chase me" that reminds you there's still a puppy hiding inside that sweet face. Marley is incredibly smart and has wonderful house manners. She's fully house trained, settles nicely in the home, and quickly learns routines. She's the type of dog who makes life easier, not harder. One of Marley's greatest gifts is her easygoing personality. She gets along beautifully with other dogs, has been respectful of cats, and would thrive in a peaceful home with adults. If there are children in the home, older, respectful children would be the best fit for her. More than anything, Marley simply wants to be near her people, soaking up the love and companionship that makes a house feel like home. If you're looking for a hiking partner who needs to run five miles a day, Marley will happily cheer you on from the couch. But if you're looking for a loyal friend to keep you company while you read a book, watch a movie, garden, or enjoy a peaceful evening on the porch, Marley is your girl. Senior dogs have a special way of loving. They're grateful for every soft bed, every gentle pat, every meal, and every day they get to spend with their family. Marley is no exception. She has so much love to give and is simply waiting for someone to give her the forever home she deserves. Marley is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, 4Dx tested and current on prevention. Applications to meet Marley can be submitted within her bio, here: https://www.aplanimalrescue.org/dogs
