Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I am an energetic working boy who is looking for a home to call my own! I am around 6 years old and know all of my basic commands including, sit, lay down, and off. I would love to find a family with another dog and a fenced in yard. Please no children because I am still working on my manners, including how to greet young people and strangers appropriately. I am looking for an experienced dog owner, someone who is a strong handler and is looking for a lifelong companion that is smart and will be their #1 sidekick. I cannot wait to find my forever home!   Broly's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives PLUS an obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, be altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a home visit and a vet check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
Jethro is a fun-loving, goofy boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This happy pup is always ready for the next adventure, whether that means a game of fetch, carrying his favorite toy around proudly, or bouncing around with excitement to greet his people. He’s playful, affectionate, social, and full of life, making him the kind of dog who brings energy and laughter wherever he goes. Jethro absolutely loves being around people and thrives on companionship. He’s confident, friendly, and gentle, with a cuddly side that enjoys curling up close after playtime is over. He gets along well with other dogs, has done well with kids ages 7 and older, and would likely fit into many different types of active homes. He also keeps his kennel clean and walks nicely on a leash. This energetic boy enjoys stuffies, squeaky toys, tug games, and just about anything that keeps him engaged and having fun. Like many excited young dogs, Jethro can sometimes forget his manners or get a little mouthy when he’s overly excited, but it comes from enthusiasm and playfulness rather than anything negative. With continued structure, exercise, and positive guidance, he’ll continue growing into an amazing companion. With his long legs, unique coat, and constant big tail wags, Jethro is impossible not to adore. He would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful spirit while also giving him plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for a sweet, adventurous best friend who can make you laugh one minute and cuddle up beside you the next, Jethro may be the perfect fit.

Story
Nikita is a big, lovable goofball with an even bigger personality. This happy boy loves being around people and would gladly spend every moment by your side if he could. Whether he’s leaning in for ear scratches, showing off his adorable butt wiggles, or following you from room to room just to keep you company, Nikita’s loyal and affectionate nature shines through in everything he does. He’s social, friendly, and easygoing, with a playful side that keeps life entertaining. Nikita can get a little jumpy and rowdy when he’s excited, especially during playtime, but it all comes from his enthusiasm and love for human interaction. He enjoys attention far more than playing with other dogs and would much rather hang out with his people than wrestle with canine friends. He does get along well with other dogs overall, but humans are definitely his favorite. Nikita takes treats nicely and has a calm, cuddly side too. After getting some energy out, he’s more than happy to relax as a giant lap dog and soak up affection. He would thrive in a home that can provide daily exercise, companionship, and continued guidance as he works on manners and managing his excitement. With his extra-large size, floppy ears, curled tail, fluffy coat, and adorable head tilts, Nikita is impossible to ignore. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, cuddle buddy, and goofy best friend all wrapped into one oversized package, Nikita may be your perfect match.
