Story
Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.   Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.   An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. He loves long walks, hiking, backpacking, playing fetch, running beside a bike, and splashing in the water. If you lead an active lifestyle, Cubby might just be your perfect match. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.   Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another dog buddy—or as your one-and-only if he gets plenty of exercise and enrichment.   Cubby is not just a dog—he’s a loyal companion, hiking partner, and forever friend who will bring joy, laughter, and love to your life. All he needs is a family who will give him the active, loving home he deserves.    Fostered in Tennessee   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Little Bit is SAFE and what a doll baby she truly is.  She has joined her foster home pack of small dogs who are checking her out. This girl's momma passed on 6/14 and the family was pushing to either euthanize her or we take her on 6/15.  We came up with the miracle foster home that is perfect for her right now.   What we see is that Little Bit is an easy going girl that has melted right in to the background of the homelife of women who work from home and have 2 small dogs of their own.  She is respectful of them and is enjoying laying outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and the soft dog bed that has been offered to her.  She is crate trained and just fine.  She would love to play with the small dogs but they have refused her playful offerings.  As cute as she is, they are not interested.  The family we would love to adopt Little Bit is one that has a fenced yard and someone not gone 9 hours a day.  Shorter time gone is fine or even a work from home situation would be perfection.  She is housebroken apparently and she know how to cross her legs like a Southern Lady!   Some added weight might be good for this girl and a 55 pound healthy weight would be ideal for her.  She is a beauty.   A Husky/Shepherd mix is definitely the consensus of her breed.  She is currently 48 pounds and stunning in every way.  Please consider making this girl's Cinderella Story come true NOW!!!   Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Please be sure you have a fenced yard and time for this girl brought from the brink of death destruction.     We cannot tell you how brokenhearted Little Bit's story has made us. She is on a very short tightrope of time to find a place to go while her devoted mom seems to be slipping away from this earthly life.  Not one ounce of dominance or aggression has ever been shown by her to a human or a dog.  She has never lived with cats or children, but we can only assume that older children will be just fine if they are calm and respectful ....not a loud and rowdy home environment since hers has always been peaceful.  This girl is highly desirable as a family companion or a single person's best friend in life.  She doesn't understand what has happened in her life. Contact us at 615-661-5333 or email ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Leave a text or a voice message and do email as well.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 21, 2026, 9:14 pm

Story
Zelda is a stunning 5-year-old spayed female Husky mix who has found her way back to us through no fault of her own and is now searching for her next—hopefully forever—home. This beautiful girl is the perfect combination of sweet, smart, and silly. Zelda has a joyful personality that shines through in everything she does, and she has a wonderful way of making people smile with her funny, affectionate nature.Zelda enjoys a moderate activity lifestyle and is always up for a good walk, a scenic car ride, or splashing around in the water whenever she gets the chance. She would make a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys both outdoor adventures and relaxed time together.Due to her breed tendencies, a cat-free home is preferred for Zelda. She has also shown interest in other dogs while in our care; however, she has not yet had the opportunity to participate in formal playgroups. Because of this, meet-and-greets with any potential canine companions are required to ensure a good match.Zelda also has a few important medical and dietary considerations. She has a history of seizures when given certain over-the-counter flea and tick preventatives, so she will need an adopter who is attentive to her care and preferably experienced with dogs or willing to work closely with a veterinarian. In addition, Zelda has food allergies and cannot eat chicken or beef flavored foods, so she will require a carefully managed diet.If you are looking for a loyal, loving, and engaging companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Zelda may be the perfect addition to your home.

Story
If you're looking for a dog with personality, 9 year old Coco is ready to apply for the position.Coco may look like a German Shepherd, but according to the people who know him best, he acts much more like a Husky. He's intelligent, expressive, independent, and isn't afraid to let you know exactly what he's thinking. He's also incredibly handsome and yes, he knows it.Coco came to the NHSPCA through no fault of his own. After a family separation led to housing instability for his owner, the difficult decision was made to surrender Coco so he could find the stable, loving home he deserves. While he spent his entire life with the same owner, changing family circumstances meant Coco experienced a few different living situations along the way.In his previous home, Coco was house-trained, crate-trained, knew commands like sit, stay, and come, and was comfortable walking on a leash. He's lived around both dogs and cats and reportedly did well with them. He's never shown resource guarding behaviors and isn't bothered if people are near his food or possessions. In fact, he's much more concerned about making sure his meals include something special-plain kibble is apparently beneath a gentleman of his stature.Coco enjoys spending time with his people. Because he was often left home alone, he can be vocal when separated from those he loves, and he'll likely do best with adopters who can help him build confidence and settle into a predictable routine. If he ever slips out of the yard, don't panic-his previous owner reported that he comes back when called.Like many dogs, Coco has a few quirks. He can be sensitive during restraint and veterinary procedures. Our adoption team can discuss ways to help him succeed and stay comfortable during future medical care. Coco is available for adoption at the NHSPCA, more information can be found at www.nhspca.org. Any interested parties may come into the NHSPCA during our open hours to inquire about Coco. Have another dog at home? We will do the dog introduction onsite for any adopter. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 26.9 Age: 9yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
This is Max! Max is a hyper, protective, and happy young dog. While around our small children, he is very excited, yet gentle. Max is a sweetie who does need a ton of fun, love, and room to roam. Max enjoys digging holes, playing fetch, and being social. When left alone in the house, Max has chewed a couple toys in the past, but has calmed down. With young children, it has become difficult to tend to Max’s need for attention. Max does not usually bark, unless he sees activity near his area (bird, squirrel, etc). Adopt this lovable boy!
