Story
This is really hard…. Barrett is my best friend and I don’t want this but my work and school schedule I don’t have enough time or help. I would love it if someone would let me see him from time to time. I put he doesn’t get along with dogs because he hates male dogs. A mellow medium to large female dog with slow introduction would be best. He typically stays between 49lbs-55lbs depending on time of year, mood, stressors.

Story
Bella is an 8 year old energetic husky who loves being part of the group. She is an only dog in the house at the moment but has lived with up to two others (lab/retriever mix and pitty mix) in the past. She typically gets exercise with daily walks around the neighborhood and free roam in the back fenced in yard. She enjoys “talking” to you when she’s excited or wanting to play. She’s good with other big dogs and kids, and high energy. Her crate is her safe spot and she is happy to spend time in it when we leave the house for errands but wants to be out and part of the activities as soon as we return home.I have raised Bella since she was an 8 week puppy and I love her so but we recently added a third young child to the family and she does not get the attention she once received. This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be writing up but I truly want what’s best for her and get the attention I can’t give her right now.

Story
Hi my name is Nikita! I am a fun-loving, spunky dog, on the hunt for my new partner in crime. I love meeting new people, going for long walks, playing with enrichment toys like Kong Wobblers, and eating any snacks you`ll give me. I have a history with chasing cats, so I shouldn`t go to a home with feline friends. I can be sensitive about sharing snacks with other dogs, so I would do best in a home without other dogs as well. Do you have room in your home and heart for a gorgeous girl like me? I look forward to building our relationship together if you come in to meet me soon!Nikita has heartworm which means that this dog has parasitic worms in the right ventricle of the heart and nearby blood vessels. Heartworm is transmitted from one dog to another by mosquitoes and can be easily prevented using monthly heartworm preventative, but once the disease is contracted the treatment process can be quite intensive. Nikita will need to remain sedentary with minimal activity during the treatment process to ensure a healthy recovery. There is additional information on heartworm disease and treatment available at our Adoption Desk. The heartworm injections for treatment are covered by HSHV, but there may be additional costs associated with clinical care.

Story
A husky and a pit bull - sure, this produced one of the most stunning dogs we've ever seen. He's brilliant, loves to watch planes fly overhead and learn about everything going on. But he is incredibly strong, and requires an experienced handler. He is also LOUD as he inherited the husky vocals. Not everyone will understand why a dog is barking or howling at them, he will need someone who understands that he's just trying to communicate something all of the time. Only one year old, he will calm down significantly in another year or so. But right now he wants to run and explore and play hard. He also wants to sleep right beside you. Remmy remembers being abandoned from a car... and breaks down a little if we drive him somewhere without another dog in the car - we think he is afraid he will be left behind. Remmy might have a hard time on that last car ride to his adopter... and he might be guarded for a while like he was with us. We have taught him that hugs and pets are good, and nurtured his loyal side. We aren't sure anyone will be good enough for him, it is purely up to Remmy - the right person will understand, and show him that there is a Happily Ever After beyond his foster home. I believe we convinced him when he was given up... we need someone to help us with his final transfer because between Remmy and me, I worry about the tears there are to shed... Remmy comes fixed with his rabies vaccine and distemper shots. He was dewormed, and on topical flea prevention. His blue eyes will steal your heart - I wish someone had warned me, so I am warning you.

Story
Meet Olaf the 11mth puppy! Olaf is a sweet, goofy and playful puppy with the cutest underbite! He has been DNA tested and his results came back as followed- 41% Siberian Husky 29% American Pit Bull Terrier 16% American Staffordshire Terrier 6% American Bulldog 4% Rottweiler He loves meeting new doggy friends and does good with friends of all shapes and sizes, although he does tend to play pretty rough. He does best with other energetic, rowdy and playful friends! Olaf has a very quirky personality. He is the class clown at doggy daycare. He loves jumping like a pogo stick and he often trips over his very long legs that he has yet grown into. If you are looking for a silly and awkward pup- Olaf may be your guy! He does have an old leg injury that sometimes causes an occasional minor limp. He has been seen by a specialist, and it is determined that he does not require any special care or further appointments. His limp was very severe when he was a small puppy, however it has become less and less noticeable as he grows! Olaf is house trained and crate trained. For being half husky, he is a very quiet boy and is not a big barker/howler. He would make a great apartment dog if there were no breed restrictions (and he gets ample exercise)! He can be quite the stubborn boy at times, but he is highly treat motivated. He is still working on not jumping up on people. Olaf is up to date on vaccines, neutered, HW- and microchipped. Does Olaf sound like a good fit for your family? Reach out for an adoption application!
