Story
Meet Leo! This 15-month old, 51-pound retriever-mix puppy has one of the biggest hearts and a huge capacity to snuggle. Leo is extremely affectionate, quiet, playful, curious, intelligent, and kind hearted. He loves every person and dog he meets and would happily play for most of the day and then curl up and cuddle you as close as he can possibly get. His foster siblings adore him, and his foster parents are amazed every day how quickly he picks up new things. Leo is a brave and confident pup, which allows him to be very adaptable.Since Leo is still a puppy new to homes, he is working very hard at becoming fully potty trained and crate trained. His foster family is amazed at his progress so far and believes he will accomplish his goals easily and quickly! Leo already knows sit, wait, kennel up (to get in his crate), and he would love a family who will continue to work on his commands and tricks since he is very smart and will do just about anything for a treat.Because Leo is a very athletic guy, he can climb a chain link fence, but he really just wants to be around his people and siblings. This bubbly boy would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run around or with a family who is home often to give him plenty of exercise. He would love another furry sibling to romp and play with. His adoption fee is $300. If you have questions about him not covered in this bio, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Martin is a Husky/Malamute mix who came to us when his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. But don’t let that story fool you—this giant, sweet boy is absolutely full of love and is ready to soak up all the attention he can get!Like many dogs of his breed mix, Martin is quite the talker, but it’s all part of his charming “wolfy” personality. Underneath that big voice is an even bigger baby who just wants affection, companionship, and a family to call his own.If you’re looking for a loyal, expressive, and loving companion, Martin might be the perfect fit.

Story
Sarge is a 2 year old Male Husky, not neutered. He is great with kids and people, also good with elderly people if on leash. He is good with current household cats. He is house trained and crate trained, loves his walks, and car rides. He loves water, baths, lake swimming etc. We are looking to rehome him due to not being able to keep up with his needs and his escaping. We live on a busy road and he likes to go underneath the fence despite all of our attempts to fix the fence and keep him sequestered. He really ramped up his escaping once we had to put our other husky down because she had cancer. He is a sweet dog and loves to be around people. He just needs a little more attention than what we are able to do with both adults in the household working and the kids in two different directions. Sarge would benefit from a more secure fenced-in backyard or somebody that has the time to meet his mental needs. Included would be a large crate.
