Story
Zirah is a sweet little husky mix who is coming up on her first birthday and her only wish is to find a home to call her very own.   Zirah is extremely timid and was not well socialized to people.    She has a strong prey drive, so can't live with cats or small dogs.   She loves dogs her size and bigger (she is just 35 lbs) and is learning how to "dog" a bit more each and every day.   She will run if not contained, and hasn't been well acclimated to a leash, so definitely will need a fenced yard.  She is a smart girl, and is catching on to housebreaking.   She is still mouthy, but not aggressive.  But for this reason, and her tendency to jump on people, a home without young children is needed.  For the little bit we had snow this year, she loved it!   Zirah is a gorgeous girl who has all the potential in the world, but she needs a human who will be patient with her and teach her good manners. In return, you will have her loyalty and love, and the immense reward of seeing her blossom right before your very eyes.   Zirah is eligible for our foster to adopt program.   If you think you might be a good fit, please send us a message.  If you don't already have an application on file, please to go out website and fill one out!  www.newleashdogrescue.com ##1983299##

Story
Camo needs our help. His family is facing eviction if they don't move Camo (we have no details on this and honestly--doesn't change the fact that Camo needs our help). His family has had a few deadline extension but they are out of time and the shelters near them have almost 100% euthanization rate, so we are hoping to keep him out of a shelter. Camo is currently in Texas. We re told Camo is absolutely amazing. He sits and lays down and is a wonderful dog. He is living in very cramped quarters and is still well behaved. He is great with other dogs, kids, all people. He can be trusted to be left uncrated when home alone. He his housebroke and not destructive.   ##2045676##

Story
Meet Toby, the charming husky! With his striking eyes and fluffy coat, Toby is not just a handsome face but also a lovely companion. His intelligence shines through as he effortlessly learns new tricks and charms everyone he meets with his friendly demeanor. If you're looking for a furry friend who's both smart and affectionate, Toby is the perfect match for you! We believe he should do well in a home with any age children. Toby is a big bouncy guy who sometimes doesn't realize his size, he should do well with a dog-savvy cat who can understand that he's just playful. Toby should do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions. If Toby seems like the right fit for you and you'd like to meet him, apply now! Toby is a 2-year-old Husky. ***If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Blitz is a 6yo Husky mix, who we were told was adopted in Dec at Rock County Humane Society. Blitz didn't do well in his previous home due to being anxious with other dogs in the home. Blitz is kennel trained, but needs some positive training with housebreaking. Blitz does not enjoy the company of new dogs, he would do best in a home as the only dog and older children. Blitz has been with us for 5 weeks now, and is a loveable boy! He loves his outside time and being brushed. “I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle me into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).”

Story
This sweet boy with the great smile is Moose. He is a one-year-old Lab/Huskie mix looking for his forever home. Moose was coincidentally brought into the shelter on his 1st birthday because his family didn't feel they could give him the time and attention he deserved anymore and they wanted better for him. Moose lived with children, cats, and other dogs in his previous home and did very well with them. He's a smart boy who knows several commands and we're told asks to go outside to potty by alerting at the door. Moose is a lover who likes to sleep at the foot of his owner's bed at night and would lay his head on his mom's shoulder during car rides. He enjoys ear rubs, bum scritches, and chasing tennis balls (although he's not much of a retriever). Moose loves a good bone to chew on, going for walks, and playing with toys-his favorite is a rubber pig. Please apply for me https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HFAH/Dog (403644-DS) **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely manner. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Bio: Hi Everyone! My name is Liberace, don’t let my face scare you. I’m the biggest lovable dog. I want to be where ever you are. My foster mom calls me Big Baby, because I am just that. I keep my kennel clean and will go in it with treats. I’m not much of a fan of being in it which is why I would love to be able to lay on your couch or bed. Be patient as I cry for about 10 minutes before I settle in my kennel. With training to be a good dog around your house, I would overcome this hurdle. I don’t have any kids at my foster home but should probably go to a home with older children as I want attention and I tend to lean into you with all of my 74lbs of weight. I would do best in a home with other dogs or being the only dog would be ideal so I can give you all the love and kisses possible. My fosters don’t have cats but I’m sure I’d love them as well. A fenced in yard would be great for me to run out my energy and enjoy watching the wildlife but is not required. I walk well on leash but can pull when I see a SQUIRREL cross my path. With some patience and training I can over come this. I do guard my food, toys, and kennel, best if I eat away from other dogs and have supervised play time. I know the command shake and an working on down, off, and stay. Very treat motivated. I do have some scars on my face and around my neck from my previous life. They do not hurt me, so give me all the pets and scratches. I also LOVE to be combed out and bathed. I’m so happy to be cleaned and loved once again. Will you be my Furever Home? All the Love, Liberace 😘😘😘😘
