Story
Don’t let the name fool you. This handsome boy is all dog, all heart, and full of personality. Kitty came to BENCHS as an unclaimed stray from the City of Mankato, and we have since learned more about his background to help us find the right match for him moving forward. Kitty was previously known as Houston and was rehomed in May 2025. He lived as an indoor dog and did well with people, including children ages 8 to 14. He was crate trained overnight, rides well in the car, and enjoys human attention. He is a smart dog who can open certain doors and may slip out of a tie out if it is not secure, so supervision and good management will be important. Kitty weighs about 68 pounds and was born on April 20, 2023. He is a young, energetic dog with a lot of enthusiasm for life and enjoys showing off the commands he already knows. In his previous home, Kitty lived with dogs and did well with a spayed female, but he was involved in a serious incident with an intact male dog. Because of this history, Kitty is dog selective and would do best as the only dog in the home or with careful, experienced placement. He also has a high prey drive and should not live with cats, chickens, or other small animals. Kitty is a bright, powerful young dog who will need a home that can provide structure, clear boundaries, and continued training. With the right environment and guidance, he has the potential to be a loyal and rewarding companion. If you are an experienced dog owner looking for a confident, intelligent dog and are prepared to meet Kitty’s needs, he may be the right fit for you.

Story
Meet Mikey, your future adventure buddy with a heart as big as his fluffy paws! This handsome Husky puppy is full of curiosity, energy, and that signature playful spirit the breed is known for. Mikey loves exploring the world around him—whether it’s rolling around in the snow, playing tug of war, or zooming around the yard like he’s training for the Iditarod. He’s incredibly smart and eager to learn, which means he’ll thrive in a home that’s ready to keep his mind and body active. Puzzle toys, long walks, and plenty of playtime will make this boy one happy pup. One of Mikey’s favorite things? Other dogs! He absolutely loves having canine friends to play with and would do great in a home with another friendly pup or with regular opportunities for doggy playdates. But Mikey isn’t just about fun and games—he’s also got a sweet, affectionate side. After a day of adventures, he’s all about snuggles, belly rubs, and being close to his favorite humans. He’s looking for a family who will give him structure, love, and the patience to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s destined to be. Because he’s a Husky, Mikey would do best with an active household and someone familiar with (or ready to learn about) the breed’s needs—think exercise, training, and maybe a little bit of that classic Husky sass! If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will keep you on your toes and fill your life with laughter, Mikey is ready to meet you. Adopt Mikey and start your next great adventure together. 🐾 All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Meet Brand! Are you looking for a spunky, blue-eyed husky to brighten your days? This handsome boy is officially on the hunt for his forever pack. Brand LOVES his foster siblings, currently living with two dog siblings and a cat. He absolutely adores them and follows them everywhere. Because he's such a fan of them and it has helped his confidence a lot, we think he'd do best in a home with a furry brother or sister to show him the ropes and keep playtime going! About Brand: Potty Training: so far an A+ student. He's learning what "let's go potty" means and will sprint to the back door. He then will go potty right away when he goes out. He's currently enrolled in "Sit 101" and proving to be a quick learner. With some more reinforcement and repetition, he'll be sitting on command in no time Spunky and ready for adventure: it's been such a joy having him and we know he will make the perfect pet. Brand is ready to join a new pack. Could it be you? All CSHS pups are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, 4DX negative (if older than 6 months), dewormed and microchipped. Story
Hi! I’m Beau! 🐾I’m a sweet young pup weighing about 35 lbs, who made quite the journey to get here, but I finally made my way to Minnesota, where I’m now living in a foster home.I’m a happy, playful boy who loves toys and playing with other dogs. Since I’m still a puppy, I’m not house trained yet and I’m not so sure about the kennel, but I’m ready to learn with a patient family... what can I say? This is all so new to me! After everything I’ve been through, I’m just hoping to find a forever home full of love and playtime. Could that be with you? 💙--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi, my name is Pop! I sweet pup weighing in at 43 pounds, and bursting with joyful enthusiasm!I'm just starting to discover the world outside my home, and am easily intimidated, but I sure am curious!I'm doing great with potty training if you keep me on a schedule, and make it through the night in my crate. I am really good with the command "sit", pretty good at "off", and working on "leave it" and "drop it". I often get so excited it's hard not to jump up and say hi and give kisses, but I'm working on it. I'm starting to enjoy walks. There's just SO much to smell and see that I have to be encouraged to keep moving forward, but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm finding my voice and experimenting with letting my humans know about different things with my bark.I love treats of every kind and am highly food motivated. Its so fun to figure out how to get the treats out of my kong toys! I love all the toys, but especially things that squeak or I can play tug with!Even though I'm pretty frisky, I sure do love a snuggle with my humans, or a nice belly rub!I'm just waiting for the right family to come along, who can appreciate my exuberant spirit, and help mold me into the perfect fit for your family! I'm ready to POP into your life and change it forever with my abundant love! Can't wait to meet you!POP--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi there… I’m Iris. I’m 1.5 years old, I have these big bright blue eyes everyone keeps talking about, and I’m really hoping they help me find the human I’ve been dreaming about.I’ll be honest — I’m a little shy with new people. Meeting someone for the first time makes my heart do nervous tap-dancing. But if you give me a little time, I promise I’ll show you my softer, sillier side. Once I trust you, I love being close… like “you’re my comfort human now” close. Now, if you have another dog? Oh boy.Dogs are my jam. They make me brave, happy, and zoomie-powered. I’d love a dog friend who can show me the ropes and maybe join me in some daily “run like the wind” sessions. Here’s what I think you might like about me:🐾 I’m great on a leash, so walks with me are easy🐾 I’m totally housebroken — really trying my best!🐾 I love zoomies and running with my foster siblings — it’s my favoriteI’m looking for a patient, gentle human who will let me warm up at my own pace… and maybe admire my blue eyes once in a while. In return, I’ll be your loyal companion, your soft shadow, and your goofy playmate once I feel safe.If you think we could be a good match, I’d really love to meet you.Maybe you’ll be the one who helps me bloom. 💙🐾--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
