Story
We took Duke in from our friends brother. Duke spent 23 out of 24 hours a day in a crate because the owner wasn’t allowed to have him in the house. He was terribly infested with fleas, so I couldn’t let him stay there. Unfortunately I just didn’t know what all was involved in taking care of a husky. He is a great dog. He loves people and other dogs! Our home is very small and he is rather large. He lives outside but we feel like he deserves a better home with more attention for him. He also needs a groomer to handle his coat that is not in the best shape. We can’t afford that and he strongly dislikes any touching on his backside. Other than that he’s not a hard dog. He’s stubborn by nature as that comes with the breed, but he would make any one that has the time for him so happy!

Story
i got both of them from a friend they were born and raised outside and i made them inside dogs but they can be indoor outdoor dogs, they are jus over a year old, they love to run and be active so im looking for a fenced in yard or someone who is very active outdoors. royal is chill and will more likely be the one up under you all the time and wanting to lay with you , chance is the opposite he is a ball full of chaos but he is the sweetest boy you’ll meet. they love to play and eat. they are good dogs i jus want the best for them both. royal is very skittish always has been and im not sure why , i’ve tried to break it out of her but no matter how nice someone is to her she is still scared.

Story
Do you hear that “Awoooo!” in the distance? It’s Angie! Miss Angie is a spirited and talkative Husky, and she’s always happy to tell you about her day! She thrives on interaction with people, and she’s also a social butterfly with other dogs. Angie’s playful demeanor makes her an ideal companion for someone with an active and engaging lifestyle! Big fan of: Keeping busy! Angie would be the paw-fect match for someone who enjoys going on outdoor adventures. If you are looking for a furry friend to take to new, scenic places, Angie is your girl! In addition to physical exercise, Angie is a smart and trainable young pup who thrives on mental stimulation. Teaching her new tricks will be a fun and rewarding experience for both Angie and her human! This canine Einstein would also love to have her own collection of puzzle toys to solve. Working on: Learning the ropes of a home environment. Angie may not have lived in a regular home before, so she’ll need some continued training to adjust to her new lifestyle. With plenty of positive reinforcement, this smart girl should settle into her new routines quickly! Dream home: One with active adopters who are committed to keeping this intelligent young dog busy and engaged. Angie would love to live in a home with another dog who shares her wrestling playstyle, but she could also be your one and only! She displays many goofy characteristics that are typical of Husky-type dogs, so an owner with previous Husky experience (or a sense of humor!) would be a bonus. If you think there isn’t another dog that comes close to Angie, please submit an adoption inquiry here: https://airtable.com/shr1nGkF2RcpTMHYQ  Please note: Our meet-and-greets take place in Weaverville, North Carolina. Story
This is Buster, we think he is between 3 and 4 years old. We believe he is a husky mix. He is perfect with other dogs of all sizes. He is also cat friendly. He is amazing with kids from babies to young and older kids. He is 100% house broke, as well as crate trained. He would love to have a fenced-in backyard to run and play in. He is trained to sit, lay, and come to you. He is moderately leash trained, and if he is outside, he must be on a leash unless in a fenced-in area, or he will take off running. He loves his toys, and he likes treats as well. He will come with some brand-new toys and treats to his new home. He loves to play fetch with you and show you all his toys. He will tear his toys apart quickly but loves to play with the remains for weeks! He is by far the best dog I have ever had the honor of having. He has been wormed and has also been treated for fleas. He does get very attached so whoever gets him needs to plan on making that his forever love filled home. **Adoption fee includes 1st shots, vet visits, and deworming. ** Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org
