You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LUMINOX hails from the Northern community of Poplar Hill and came south along with her 4 puppies to find living homes. She was a loving, attentive mum and now she deserves to get that loving family she’s always dreamed of. She’s spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped and been deemed a healthy girl by her vet. We can definitely see the Husky in her but not so much the Lab but she does have the loving, soft nature of one. So basically the breeds are just our assumption and she probably has many more in her too. She’s a bit under weight so could still do with gaining a few pounds which she should now seeing as she’s no longer nursing her puppies. She’s a sweet girl who just wants snuggles, toys and food. She loves her people and will be their shadow and follow them room-to-room because she doesn’t want to lose sight of them. Belly rubs? Did someone say belly rubs? This girl absolutely loves them and when she has her fosters full attention, she’ll then flop onto the floor and roll over so she can get that full-on belly rub. LUMINOX is crate trained and will sleep well in it at night but not such a fan of it in the daytime so she is kept in a secure room and will settle down f er right away. She does well on her walks but we do not recommend anytime soon that she be off leash until her new owner is well acquainted with her and she’s very trusting of them. She’s housetrained and will let you know when she has to go outside for a bathroom break. She loves her belly rubs and will lean into her foster to let her know she wants them and when she gets their full attention she’ll then flop on the floor for her to give them. She loves to be in the water and she’ll run into it at full tilt and then lay down in it especially after a nice long walk in the woods. She enjoys car rides but sometimes needs bit of a boost to get her in there. She has the funniest quirk of when she’s going somewhere she’ll flop on the ground and go limp. However, she’s fine to be picked up and her smaller size makes it easier to manoeuvre her. She’ll do this sometimes at night when it’s bedtime and time to get her into her crate. She does this as she’d much rather stay with her people and she envisions herself lying on the bed rather than in the crate. She’s well socialized with dogs of all sizes and a lot of different breeds and she also has 2 of them in her foster home. They walk and play well together and love to burn off energy by playing chase in the back yard. She does have a prey drive so we’re saying no cats or critters in her new home. She’s only met children aged 10 plus and did very well with them so we are recommending they should be over the age of 10yrs and be gentle and loving towards animals. LUMINOX loves to play with toys especially the squeaky ones. She has to be monitored with them though as she’ll chew through them pretty quick to get at that squeaker. So we’re recommending the toughest toys for her like the Kong brand and Nyla bones to chew on. She’s very food motivated so it’s very easy to teach new tricks and commands with treats. She already knows sit, paw, down, come and stay to name a few. Although she already knows these commands we do strongly recommend that her new owner take her to obedience/training school and it’s also a great way for her owner to bond with her. She’s great at sniffing out kibble too and has raided her kibble bin a couple of times so food should be kept well out of her reach. She doesn’t show any signs of resource guarding with people when it comes to food or toys and they can safely be taken from her. She does require a fenced in yard and one that is secure as she’ll go on a mission to find gaps in it and try to escape. She does have a prey drive so absolutely no cats or small critters in the home for her. She does chase after bunnies and other critters and one time she did manage to catch a bunny and it unfortunately didn’t survive. Meet Potato - your soon-to-be favourite comfort food. Potato is a 3-year-old male Husky mix who is the perfect combination of playful silliness, a loving heart, and a wonderfully hearty spirit. This lovable pup adores other dogs, and has proven to be gentle and sweet. Whether he's cruising in the car, showing off his "sit" and "down," or trotting along proudly on his halti, Potato is always ready to be part of the action. (And man -- look at that smile and face -- Potato is 100% handsome and his happiness is contagious!). Potato loves his playing with his foster siblings and truly enjoys their company. Potato can feel the need to guard his food, water and treats so its important to give him his space and understand his needs. Like any growing spud, Potato is still working on a few things. He's very food-motivated (seriously... he will do anything for a treat), which makes training both fun and effective. He thrives on routine and is fully house trained. He's strong on leash but improving, and while he may test boundaries with mouthing when overstimulated, he responds well to guidance and correction. Potato requires a strong handler with experience that can provide structure and continuous training. Potato is not suitable for a home with children. Due to a bite incident Potato is looking for an adult only home. Potato is an active, playful boy who loves romping with dog friends and, true to his name, has a talent for digging - after all, potatoes do belong in the dirt. He would do best in a home that can provide supervision and consistency as he settles in. In return, you'll get a loyal, affectionate companion who is equal parts cuddly and fun, with just enough quirky charm to keep life interesting. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ARGYLE hails from Fort Severn, a Northern community and came south with her 6 puppies Arisaig,Yamaska, Kokanee, Algonquin, Banff & Makwa (they’re known as the “Provincial Parks” Litter) and she came south to find her forever home. She’s spayed, UtD on vaccines, including a Rabies shot, is microchipped, received 2 doses of “Dolpac” dewormer due to having tapeworm and has been deemed a healthy girl by her Vet. We actually have a video of her with her puppies on the community she came from, which is very rare to see. Although she doesn’t really look like a Husky she does have an undercoat like one so she no doubt has that breed in her. Seeing as she comes from a community with many stray dogs she no doubt has many different breeds in her as well. She’s a very placid, laid back girl who loves her humans and snuggling up with them is one of her favourite things to do. She’s been such a great dog to foster and so well behaved since day one. We feel she had an owner at some point as she knew some basic commands when she arrived. She’s well socialized with people and will excitedly run up to greet them with a wagging tail. ARGYLE is crate trained and will sleep in it quietly at night and also take a nap in it during the day. She’s housetrained and understands that bathroom breaks are for outside. She loves going on walks and wears a collar and harness while on a leash. She loves to have a sniff-a-thon on her walks and will check out every rock, leaf and basically anything she encounters. She loves to chew on her bones and is very susceptible to tasty treats too. She will “sit” for her meals and take treats “gentle.” ARGYLE would love a family who loves the outdoors as much as she does, going on hikes, walks and will take her on adventures with them. She travels well in a vehicle and will just rest in her crate and quietly enjoy being driven around. She’s been very friendly with the dogs she’s met so far so should do well with one in her new home providing they are laid back like she is and not dominant at all. She will have a meet and greet with the family that wants to adopt her including any dog that’s currently in the home to make sure they are a good match. She can be an only dog as long as she’s not left alone for long periods at a time. She hasn’t met a cat so we’re not suggesting she be with one at this time. However, if there’s a cat in the home and it’s dog savvy then that will be considered. She requires a fenced-in yard so she can run around and play while being kept safe. She’s not suitable for apartment life due to her size and exercise needs. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be gentle, loving and caring towards animals. Bowie is one of the adorable pups from our Energy Drink litter, who joined us at the end of August. Believed to be around 9–10 weeks old, Bowie and his littermates are Shepherd x Husky mixes — a perfect combination of smart, sassy, curious, and full of puppy potential! Their mom and the rest of the litter are currently with Project Paws Rescue, and Mom appears to be a Husky or predominantly Husky mix. Bowie has been thriving in his foster home and is already getting a wonderful head start on becoming the best family dog he can be. He’s being socialized to children, other dogs, cats, and all the sights and sounds of home life, while learning those oh-so-important puppy skills. He’s also working hard on crate training, house training, leash walking, and basic manners. Of course, there’s still plenty to learn! Bowie will need a family who understands that puppies are a work in progress and is ready to continue his training and socialization as he grows. Bowie is smart, sassy, a champion cuddler, and ready to soak up everything life has to offer. We know he’ll make an amazing companion for the family who is ready to grow alongside him.
