Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rex is looking for his forever home. He was surrendered at just a mere 8 months old to One Dog at a Time ODAAT because of his severe separation anxiety. He was born in February 2018 and is a Husky, Terrier mix. A lot of people might have given up on Rex. He is deaf, suffered from severe separation anxiety, and had no training whatsoever. But the people at ODAAT believed he'd be a perfect candidate for their training partnership with a local prison, Rockview. Rex learned great basic commands while staying at the prison and a couple of really special ones. He is no longer in the program and is ready for his forever home. Because Rex is deaf, we truly feel he would require another pup to be able to live life to the fullest. Older children only. Rex is protective of his people. He is committed through and through with the person he bonds with. He will require a special family to be able to bring him to his full potential. Rex will not be able to be a social butterfly. If you're looking for a dog that will be a great companion, this is your boy! His best friends are Deitz, Vader and Dugan, three of our ODAAT rescue pups. So if you are in the market for an awesome pair, trio, or quad group... just let us know! Applications can be found at  www.onedogatatime.us.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:55 am

Meet Diego! With those stunning blue eyes and that classic Husky smile, it’s hard not to fall in love with 4-year-old Diego! This handsome boy is full of personality, loves being outdoors, and is always ready to brighten your day with his goofy charm and adventurous spirit. Like many Huskies, Diego is intelligent, active, and thrives when he has both physical exercise and mental enrichment to keep him happy and engaged. He’ll need a family that understands the unique quirks and needs of the breed and is committed to providing the structure and routine that helps Huskies succeed.Diego also struggles with separation anxiety, so he will need a patient and understanding adopter who has experience working with dogs who have difficulty being left alone. His ideal home will be one that can help him continue building confidence and provide him with the support he needs to feel safe and secure.Because of this, Diego is looking for:- A home with previous Husky experience- An owner familiar with managing separation anxiety- Plenty of exercise, enrichment, and companionship- A family committed to helping him continue to thriveDiego has so much love to give and is searching for someone willing to see the incredible dog behind those bright blue eyes. Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? Unknown. This handsome boy is curious about everything. Sometimes *too* curious? During his assessment, he spent a lot of time investigating the world, wondering what things were, whether they were safe, and if perhaps they required further investigation. The answer was usually yes. What Stetson Kevin Is Like:- Energetic, curious, and always on the move- Building confidence in new situations- Friendly with people and eager to engage- Loves exploring more than listening to directions- Occasionally makes questionable decisions, but with enthusiasmFor example, Stetson Kevin was deeply suspicious of a dog statue in the lobby. A statue. Of a dog. To be fair, once he realized it wasn`t coming to life, he recovered quickly and moved on with his day. That pretty much sums him up: things can feel a little overwhelming at first, but he`s learning that most of the world is actually pretty okay. When meeting people, Stetson Kevin was sweet and friendly, though he occasionally expressed his excitement by jumping up to say hello. With other dogs, he started out unsure but gradually became more confident, eventually inviting play in his own slightly awkward, enthusiastic way.Stetson Kevin`s Ideal Home Looks Like:- Kids around 10+, on a case-by-case basis- Other dogs, pending meet-and-greets- An active family that enjoys training and adventure- Humans who appreciate a dog with opinions, curiosity, and a sense of humorStetson Kevin feels like the kind of dog who`s going to make his future family laugh every single day. He`s smart, sensitive, endlessly entertaining, and trying very hard to figure out this whole `being a dog` thing. The dog statue has already fo

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bailey Bailey is a beautiful Pitsky (Pit Bull/Husky mix) looking for a forever home filled with love, patience, adventure, and commitment. ❤️ Bailey’s favorite thing in the world is PEOPLE. She gets so excited to see everyone and just wants attention, love, and someone to call her best friend. She has so much love to give and wants nothing more than to be included in your life. ✨ Bailey’s Personality:• Energetic• Playful• Loving• Curious and adventurous• Kid friendly• Not dog-reactive• Crate trained• Housetrained Bailey has never been around cats, so a cat introduction would need to be done carefully and slowly. Bailey is still learning how to be the best girl she can be. She is willing to learn, but she needs someone dedicated, patient, and committed to helping her succeed. Training classes will be very important for her, and she would thrive with an adopter willing to work with her consistently. Her perfect day includes: Chasing balls Playing tug-of-war Long walks and outdoor adventures Running freely and laying in cool grass Lots of durable chew toys Endless snuggles and affection Bailey loves to explore because she’s incredibly curious and full of life. She’s still working on leash manners and has many moments where she struggles with pulling during walks, so she will need continued patience and training in that area. Underneath all the puppy excitement is a loving girl who simply wants to be loved back. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, adventure buddy, cuddle partner, and best friend — Bailey is waiting for you.
