Since arriving at the shelter, she has mostly kept to herself, showing only tiny glimpses of her personality beneath the stress.But there`s one constant in Zendaya`s world: Tom. These two are deeply bonded and will need to find their forever home together. When they`re outside their kennel, they tend to sit tucked together in a corner, quietly watching everything around them. Zendaya stays close, and Tom finds the courage to explore knowing she is there.What Zendaya Is Like:• Gentle and sensitive, quiet and observant• Cautious in unfamiliar situations• Deeply bonded with Tom• Needs time and patience to feel safeShelter life can be overwhelming for Zendaya. Based on their observed behaviors, we have determined that they are bonded and will need to be adopted together.When out of their kennel, they both sat together in a corner of the room, watchful and hesitant to move around. Gradually, Tom began to explore half of the room, but he always returned to Zendaya`s side once he realized she wasn`t with him. Outside, they were skittish, startled by the various sounds of kennel life around them. He was surrendered at just a mere 8 months old to One Dog at a Time ODAAT because of his severe separation anxiety. He was born in February 2018 and is a Husky, Terrier mix. A lot of people might have given up on Rex. He is deaf, suffered from severe separation anxiety, and had no training whatsoever. But the people at ODAAT believed he'd be a perfect candidate for their training partnership with a local prison, Rockview. Rex learned great basic commands while staying at the prison and a couple of really special ones. He is no longer in the program and is ready for his forever home. Because Rex is deaf, we truly feel he would require another pup to be able to live life to the fullest. Older children only. Rex is protective of his people. He is committed through and through with the person he bonds with. He will require a special family to be able to bring him to his full potential. Rex will not be able to be a social butterfly. If you're looking for a dog that will be a great companion, this is your boy! His best friends are Deitz, Vader and Dugan, three of our ODAAT rescue pups.
