Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rex is looking for his forever home. He was surrendered at just a mere 8 months old to One Dog at a Time ODAAT because of his severe separation anxiety. He was born in February 2018 and is a Husky, Terrier mix. A lot of people might have given up on Rex. He is deaf, suffered from severe separation anxiety, and had no training whatsoever. But the people at ODAAT believed he'd be a perfect candidate for their training partnership with a local prison, Rockview. Rex learned great basic commands while staying at the prison and a couple of really special ones. He is no longer in the program and is ready for his forever home. Because Rex is deaf, we truly feel he would require another pup to be able to live life to the fullest. Older children only. Rex is protective of his people. He is committed through and through with the person he bonds with. He will require a special family to be able to bring him to his full potential. Rex will not be able to be a social butterfly. If you're looking for a dog that will be a great companion, this is your boy! His best friends are Deitz, Vader and Dugan, three of our ODAAT rescue pups. So if you are in the market for an awesome pair, trio, or quad group... just let us know! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bailey Bailey is a beautiful Pitsky (Pit Bull/Husky mix) looking for a forever home filled with love, patience, adventure, and commitment. ❤️ Bailey’s favorite thing in the world is PEOPLE. She gets so excited to see everyone and just wants attention, love, and someone to call her best friend. She has so much love to give and wants nothing more than to be included in your life. ✨ Bailey’s Personality:• Energetic• Playful• Loving• Curious and adventurous• Kid friendly• Not dog-reactive• Crate trained• Housetrained Bailey has never been around cats, so a cat introduction would need to be done carefully and slowly. Bailey is still learning how to be the best girl she can be. She is willing to learn, but she needs someone dedicated, patient, and committed to helping her succeed. Training classes will be very important for her, and she would thrive with an adopter willing to work with her consistently. Her perfect day includes: Chasing balls Playing tug-of-war Long walks and outdoor adventures Running freely and laying in cool grass Lots of durable chew toys Endless snuggles and affection Bailey loves to explore because she’s incredibly curious and full of life. She’s still working on leash manners and has many moments where she struggles with pulling during walks, so she will need continued patience and training in that area. Underneath all the puppy excitement is a loving girl who simply wants to be loved back. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, adventure buddy, cuddle partner, and best friend — Bailey is waiting for you. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please say hello to Beth! Beth is a Bernese Mountain Dog/ Husky Mix. She was born December 7, 2018. Prior to coming into rescue she lived her life in a small kennel inside of a barn, breeding puppies over and over. She had no name, they called her 'Dog.' Beth is learning a whole new life outside of the farm. She is playful but will need time to open up. She is scared of new things and has only lived in a barn stall her whole life. She loves being outside so will require a fenced in yard and a home with older children. Beth loves playing with other dogs so a home with another dog would be fine. But she can be an only dog. She loves playing with stuffies and will lay with them. She has never lived in a home so it will all be new. She will need patience from adopter so she can trust them. Beth will be a committed companion. Once Beth is comfortable she is good with anyone. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you would like to to welcome sweet Beth into your family, please apply at www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a 'first come first served' basis.
