Meet Elle! She’s a stunning husky/shepherd mix around 8 months old. She weighs about 35 pounds right now, but she’s pretty scrawny, so she’ll probably fill out another 15-20 pounds as she grows and gets regular meals. She’s really friendly, but a little on the cautious side when it comes to new things. She’s really sweet with kids and other dogs. She responds well to confident, gentle yet persistent guidance, so she will do well with training.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. I'm a happy gal that is looking for my kingdom, ruled by treats, belly rubs and having FUN!! At only 10 months I'm still just a youngster ready for all kinds of action packed adventures. If you're looking for a pawtner for neighborhood strolls, I'm in. If you're looking for a hiking pawtner, I'm right there. If you're looking for a camping pawtner, I sure don't mind sleeping on the ground if you don't. If you're game for it, I'm for sure ready to give it a whirl. At my current weight of about 45lbs I shouldn't get a whole lot bigger which is a perfect size for...well, everything! I'm big enough to get out there and get dirty with you but small enough that I won't take up the whole couch. Gotta make sure I leave room for our cuddle time!! I get on great with people and the other foster pups here. I'm also house trained which is a nice added bonus for my family. I will need several brushings a week to help keep the hair at a minimum but even tho the vacuum will be your best friend, my love and devotion will make it all worth while!! When these striking blue eyes look at you, nothing else will matter cuz I will already be tangled up in your heart! Are you ready for that family addition that will keep you entertained with my silly antics? Story
Akira & Sora are two of our newest street dogs. We call them street dogs due to them being partially feral and scared of everything and everyone. They have come a long way since coming into the shelter. They would both benefit from having a foster to help them how to be a dog. They need to learn how to walk on a leash, basic potty training & Obedience. These sweet boys have such great potential and will make amazing dogs.

Story
Johnny and Moira are a bonded pair who need to stay together. They have likely been together for their entire lives and have a loving dynamic that is a joy to see. Please note the individual details for each of them, as well as the information that applies to both. &#226&#128&#139 Johnny Details Just like his namesake, Johnny Rose, SWESR’s Johnny believes that “People Love Pizzazz.” He loves to play rowdy and is mischievous. Snow and water make Johnny’s “pizzazz” really come out. Playing in them, he is absolutely joyful. Another of Johnny’s joys is a boisterous romp with his bonded buddy Moira. After a fun-filled frolic with her, he is happy to lounge in the house and chew on a nylabone. He is affectionate with humans and loves a good massage. &#226&#128&#139 Like the youngster that he is, Johnny puts everything in his mouth--from the dog bed, to shoes, to toys. Johnny may be a Large Munsterlander, but the DNA test isn’t back yet. Stay tuned for an update on that. No matter his breed, Johnny is pure doggy joy. &#226&#128&#139 Moira Details The beautiful Miss Moira has settled nicely into her foster home with her bonded buddy Johnny. She never has a grouchy moment, is affectionate, and loves to check everything out with her ever-busy nose. Like her famous namesake, Moira Rose, Miss Moira recently asked her foster mom “You do realize I’m a professional vocalist?” Her foster mom nodded in agreement as Miss Moira continued the conversation in her lovely professionally-trained dog voice. True to her breed, Moira is a Husky girl who loves to chat. &#226&#128&#139 Moira and Johhny make a lovely bonded pair, with Moira being more dominant and Johhny not concerned about being the submissive one. Moira enjoys the snow and the doggie pool, running and wrestling with Johhny, but then settles nice indoors.  &#226&#128&#139 Johnny and Moira In their previous lives, Johnny and Moira were not shown the way to have proper house manners. Both are smart, treat-motivated and have already started clicker training. With gentle, consistent training, Johnny and Moira are learning the way to be great companions. &#226&#128&#139 Because both of these dogs are big and active, they are not appropriate for a home with young children or frail adults. They are not cat safe, so a home without a cat is a must. Johnny and Moira will need a home with a secure fence of at least 6’ and room to stretch out and enjoy their boisterous style of play. &#226&#128&#139 At about 4.5 years old, both these beautiful youngsters are house-trained, crate-trained, and fully vetted. They are currently in a foster home in Oklahoma and ready for adoption. For details and an application to adopt, please see http://www.swesr.org/Apply-to-Adopt.html &#226&#128&#139 &#226&#128&#139December 4, 2023, 8:20 am

Story
Meet Turnpike, a dog trapped in a seal's body! Turnpike is your usual Husky; he LOVES the cold, swimming, and using ALL of his energy! In a place like Texas, with any kind of large dog breed or double-coated breed, you'll need to make sure that air conditioning is constantly on, lots of icy-water, and unique activities that simulate a cold climate to ensure Turnpike is healthy and happy! You'll find this seal-dog trying to swim at any opportunity! Is that a bowl of drinking water, just meant for drinking? Too bad Turnpike has now laid in it and is trying to swim through it like George Washington crossing the Delaware river. This boy has a TON of energy. Seriously just when you think he's done he'll convert any means of energy nearby into his OWN and then boom, he's back at 100% ... AGAIN. Winding him down might take a while so Turnpike would do best with an active family that can handle a high energy dog. Because Turnpike seemingly is a 24/7 motor engine he can sometimes forget his size and knock into people or other dogs. Thus he would do best in a household with older children, no pregnant women or elderly folks. Turnpike is a unique boy that'll find so many ways to surprise you! He is a beautiful, young Husky looking for a family that'll love him forever! If you're interested in adopting him or inquiring more information visit our website: https://godsdogsrescue.org/ Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
