Story
Meet Dreamy "Roo" - the cutest blue-eyed small baby husky mix boy in San Antonio! How can you resist those forward facing flippy ears and his dreamy expressive light blue/gray eyes! This healthy, active and playful little guy was a lot smaller than his siblings, who were picking on him and not letting him eat, so he was my chosen birthday foster this year to give him (and another small brother) some extra special in-home personal foster care until they each caught back up with their littermates. Dreamy Roo is now fully weaned onto quality dry puppy kibble, dependably paper trained, very quiet, happy, and playful, and now ready to start his new life with his forever adoptive family. He is an indoor foster care boy who is quite small for his smaller husky mix breed size who will likely grow to be only about 20-25 lbs as an adult dog, so he would be perfect for indoor living in either a house or an apartment. He has a soft, short off-white coat with the cutest tan tips at the ends of both ears, and the way they flop forward "at attention" and bounce as he plays and runs makes everyone laugh & smile. His tail joyously wags every time he hears or sees people. Dreamy Roo is currently kennel and harness training, loves to be picked up and carried around, wants to be close to you, and is an excellent car rider who will quickly fall asleep in anyone's lap along the way. Roo is tiny yet tends to play dominantly with dogs and cats, preferring to mouth and wrestle other pets, so would need to be monitored around younger children and their toys or older/senior pets and people who may not enjoy being pounced on or accidentally mouthed in play. He also enjoys body wrestling and playing hide-and-seek with our eager house cat, who thinks she's a dog. He loves to play autonomously with all kinds of toys, balls, stuffies with squeakers, and tough chew bones (no rawhide!), and is just beginning to try tug-of-war and follow me when I'm carefully and slowly walking near him. He's a very quiet baby boy (hardly barks at all) who enjoys falling asleep in your lap or laying right beside you while you're reading a book, olaying on your phone or watching tv He is a very sweet and loving boy who has had a rough start in his first few weeks of life, but has bpunced right back and is doing great now with gentle one-on-one fostering in our home. He is quickly becoming a curious puppy who is eager to learn new things, realizing that people are his safe space with our gentle nurturing, patience and guidance. He has the calmer personality to easily become an incredible working service dog with some training and already showing that he is a future loyal personal companion and best friend and housr dog for one very lucky single person, couple, empty-nesters, or family with responsible older children (8-10+ yo). His name is "Dreamy," but we mainly call him Roo after the baby kangaroo boy from the beloved Winnie The Pooh specials. Submit an application to adopt this very special, deserving boy if you'd like to make Roo a wonderful new addition to your caring and attentive forever family and indoor safe home today. You'll be very glad you did!! Thank you. - Roo's proud foster Mom, Laura 🥰💜🐶💜🐾
