Story
Meet Dakota Dakota is an 11-year-old Husky with the kind of soulful eyes that tell a story — and oh, what a story she has to tell. Originally purchased from a breeder as a puppy, Dakota should have known a lifetime of loyalty and stability. Instead, after just one year, she was rehomed… and then rehomed again. In total, she was passed between friends four different times. No dog deserves to feel that disposable. When Dakota finally came into our care, her body showed the heartbreak she had endured. She had bite wounds covering her neck and an embedded collar that had painfully grown into her skin. But even through all of that, Dakota’s spirit remained gentle and trusting. This gorgeous senior lady is now safe, healing, and finally experiencing consistency and compassion. She deserves a soft place to land — a quiet home, a comfy bed, and someone who understands that senior dogs love the deepest. Dakota is ready for her forever. No more moving. No more being passed around. Just stability, love, and the dignity she has always deserved. If you believe in second chances for seniors, Dakota is waiting.

Story
🎙️ "Testing, 1-2... Is this thing on? Ahem. Hello, World. I'm Summit." Look, I’ll be direct: I’m 2 years old, I’m 100% fluff, and I’m currently looking for a full-time adventure coordinator. My previous foster said I’m a "stunning Husky," but I prefer the term "Professional Trail Guide with a Part-Time Modeling Career." Here’s the "Summit" Experience: I’m a Social Butterfly (with a Tail): I don’t do "strangers." I only do "future best friends." Whether you have two legs or four, if you’re down to play, I’m your guy. I’m dog-friendly and basically the life of every party I wasn’t even invited to. The "Husky" Soundtrack: If you’re looking for a quiet, stoic roommate... keep scrolling. I have thoughts. I have opinions. And I will express them in a series of "awoos," chirps, and dramatic sighs until we go for a walk. The Engine: I’m 2 years old—which means I have the zoomies of a puppy but the stamina of an Olympic athlete. Hiking? Yes. Running? Love it. Triple-checking the backyard for squirrels? It’s a full-time job, but I’m dedicated. The Cool-Down: Once I’ve conquered the "mountain" (or just the local park), I am a world-class cuddler. I will lean my 60-ish pounds of fur against your legs and look at you with these eyes until you admit I’m the best thing that ever happened to you. 🏔️ What I Need From You: I’m looking for a "Pack Leader" who understands that life with a Husky is 10% fur-management and 90% pure, unadulterated joy. If you’ve got a sense of humor and a pair of sturdy walking shoes, we’re going to get along just fine. "I’ve got the spirit of the tundra and the heart of a teddy bear. Who’s ready to climb with me?" — Summit
